Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Reviews

"The job went well. These guys work good together as previously stated. I had one issue with the hallway end near the ceiling as the

was not straight. There was a half an inch difference, and it showed. Phoned the company, they sent the guy back a week later to touch up no questions asked. The guy fixed the unevenness and it looks great now. One thing that was a little awkward for me was that when

the owner arrived the first day of the Job, he spoke to his guys in a

I did not appreciate in my home. There was profanity used in front of me, as the guys did not have the proper amount of

ordered that morning. Other reviewers were right about profanity used etc.. But all in all, the job these guy do is very good and at the end I believe I'm pleased with the results.
"I left a message requesting an estimate. It took them 4 days to get back to me. When they did, they came by, walked through my place and told me they would email me the quote. 9 days later they call me to ask if I still want the quote. I told them that I wanted it 8 days prior and had chosen a different company to do the work. He thanked me for not wasting their time...wow.

& Design is a general contracting company who specialize in stucco, trim, hardwood floors, tiles, kitchens...quite frankly anything that one desires when upgrading their homes.
The most important and relevant information in my opinion is that they are open, honest and fair.
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
is an extremely likable guy who not only completes the work in a timely manner but his customers don't have the worry of getting ripped off from a financial or quality perspective. It's hard to find reliable contractors these days who don't cut corners, and go above and beyond for their customers to be happy. I would highly recommend

"The contractors showed up on time, assessed the area to be worked and went to get their supplies. I asked them for an estimate on the cost of the supplies and it was same as advisedly
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
directly. They returned within 30min from the hardware store, and immediately went to work covering the living room in plastic from top of the walls across the carpet and down the hall. They kept the site clean, worked quickly, updating me as they went and gave me suggestions for how to best ensure that the ceiling painted as I wanted when I was doing it. When I pointed out the extra spot in the kitchen ceiling that needed to be patched above the refrigerator, they went to work on it in-between cleaning up the living room and hallway. So quick! Both contractors were very polite, professional and thorough. Awesome experience!
"We talked about exactly what I needed. They came in promptly to their schedule. They did an excellent job on the work, and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, they were very trustworthy and pleasant to work with."
"To sum it up for those of you that don't want to read a lengthy review, I was VERY pleased.

Pier made a trip out to take a look at the project that I wanted done and gave me a estimate that I considered to be very fair. On the day the work was to begin, Pier and
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up in a timely manner and set to work. The entire project ended up taking three days, and I was very pleased that at the end of each work day, they picked up and swept up any and all debris.

The end project was much more involved than was first anticipated, resulting in a totally customized cabinet. Additionally, Pier made several "corrections" and additional repairs for me during this project. (i.e, sealing a hole that had been left in my garage wall from someone doing sprinkler work and re-doing some plumbing from a pre-existing water softener.) Pier was very good about asking what I wanted and offering his ideas for me to consider, but the decisions were always mine to make. These tasks resulted in a higher cost than the original estimate, but I expected that. Pier always asked if I wanted any of these additional tasks completed, and I assumed that it would mean an additional expense.

I appreciated Pier's easy going, yet professional demeanor. It is easy to tell that he knows what he is doing. Will I used Pier again - definitely. Will I recommend Pier - already have. Thanks Pier!! Thanks

"Since Nick was not honest in his response to my review, I need to correct a few things he said:

1- Nick stated that we agreed the work was done satisfactorily. This is categorically untrue. We, in fact, told Nick the work was not done to our satisfaction.

2- Nick stated we asked him to fix the garage door for free. This is categorically untrue. We asked him to come back and fix the light sensor after he charged us $67 of labor working on it without fixing it. We since had a real electrician fix the light sensor for $20 labor (we had the part). Nick specifically stated he couldn't fix it because it had "faulty wiring". This is categorically untrue according to the real electrician that fixed it for $20. He said it was a
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
job. In fact, it took him about 7 minutes to replace the part.

3- Nick stated "they want stuff for free". This is categorically untrue. We asked him to stand behind his work and fix the light sensor that he already charged us $67 for and didn't fix, claiming it had faulty wiring...see above, this was simply not true.

4- Nick stated "some people use review sites as their own personal ways of attacking hardworking honest businesses". This is categorically untrue. We have written several reviews on AngiesList and they are all good experiences we had from vendors we found on Angieslist except for Nick. We hold no malice. We simply needed to be honest about our experience to warn others.

(Previous review)
We originally called Nick to repair a gap under the garage door, fill a hole in our drywall in a bedroom, fix a light sensor that turns on lights at night and repair a leaking toilet. The worker came and determined that he could not fix the garage door and that we needed a garage door specialist.

The worker then worked on the sensor for an hour and determined he could not fix the sensor.

He did fill a hole in our drywall and repaired the leaking toilet. Besides that he spent about ten minutes caulking some gaps outside the house. We were shocked to hear the bill was $428! We were billed at $67 per hour for a total of almost 6 hours! Even the worker said before he left that he felt bad that he was not able to fix the two major tasks and that if we talked to Nick he might send someone out again to fix the light sensor for free.

What shocked us even more was when when we talked to Nick about it over the phone afterwards. Our complaint was that the two important things that needed fixing (the garage door and the light sensor) were not fixed. And the things that were done (adjusting a part in back of toilet, patching hole in drywall) were fairly
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and should not have cost anything near $428. We explained to Nick that this was a lot of money for two fairly
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
things and that we were not happy with the price.

Instead of making any attempt to work with us or even listen to what we had to say, he went on a rant as to how he has many service awards he has won on Angie's List and how we should be thankful because of his quality and that he is worth it. Nick was rude, insulting and really didn't care or listen to our concerns at all. We were calm and patient as he went through his rant and then told him we were sorry he has taken that point of view before we hung up and that we would be expressing our concerns on Angie's List.

We will never be using Nick again and warn anyone who is considering using him to do so very cautiously. We have had six different repairmen come over to fix things over the past month because we moved into a house with a lot of issues, and this was the first time we have been displeased. Everyone else we've used have been extremely professional and charged a fair price. And we found every one of them on Angie's list.

"I could not have asked for better service. They were professional, prompt, extremely clean, provided excellent results and were a great crew. I have recommended to several friends and I would definitely them use again."
"We had a rainy season this year, their were men on my roof. I could hear the footsteps, ran out on my patio and saw 1 man he said the roof sprung a leak and the drains were blocked. Stated that I will hear allot of water going thru the drain since the roof was flooded. In my bedroom, there was a leak forming. I contacted our association and the following day available the sent out a contractor and they were going to check the roof for me. week go by and a smell was coming thru to my condo. Nobody that management had sent over could smell what I was smelling. Even my own ins agent. on 3/12/11 I moved out and stayed with friends, got a air purifier and called
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Consulting. Spoke with
Santa Ana Drywall Contractors Provider Name Locked
and told him I was looking for a 2nd opinion. I had already an air toxicology report and emailed it to him. In talking to him later he wanted to know what I wanted out of this, just to know that I wasn't going nuts. There were high numbers under certain molds, he asked if I was allergic to penicillin. Yes, I am. I found out I was having an allergic reaction to my place. He came by and 1st did a fogging of salt solution and said, this will hold me till they can get to me in June 2011. He sent a crew out found mold in the window in my kitchenette area above and below the window, found out why I was having issues in my bathroom, the fan was old and wasn't hooked up properly. In my bedroom the 2ft by 2ft space on the ceiling turned into 2ft by 8ft deep. Everyday that the men were there I got a blow by blow detailed description on what was being done. I got the impression that there wasn't alot of mold, but, it was enough to irate me so, whatever there was they removed it. I was there on the days that they needed me and they are the best!!! I am so happy that I had picked them..When It came time to painting. Since my condo is small they did my whole place. In the bathroom was semi gloss and the rest done in egg shell. The place came with flat paint before.
This is a really good company, I have already told my friends about them. I would only use them in the future. They know there business.
