Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning
Got everything cleaned out as expected along with some unexpected items in the flue (rocks, dead birds). Protected the inside with tarps and vacuumed everything up. Recommended and I had a chimney cap installed. Everything was done quickly, efficiently and within budget.

Many promises of contacts and phone calls but no service, and big mix-up with scheduling due to person getting fired, and then time of appointment. The men who did the actualjob were very polite and professional. This business needs to improve in its |customer service.

The tech inspected the chimney from the fireplace inside of the house and also up on the roof.  He said everything was okay.  I knew I needed a spark arrester and said he could provide one for $200.  I agreed to the purchase and he installed it.
The special vacuum cleaner equipment the tech brought into the house did not work.  It would not start at all.  The tech said he could clean the chimney by hand.  I went outside to look at the new spark arrester and discovered that since we have a double fireplace, there are two vents to be covered and the new spark arrester only covered one.  I guess he wasn't going to mention this.  He said he didn't have another one on the truck.  The options at this point were have him come back with another one or put on a larger spark arrester to cover both the vents.  I didn't want just one arrester left up on the roof becaused it looked unbalanced so I had him remove it and measure the whole vent area for a multi-vent spark arrester.  I didn't feel the cleaning by hand would be as good as using the equipment so he left the job knowing I wanted him to come back with equipment working and a new double spark arrester which he said he would probably have to special order and would take some time to receive.
Meanwhile, I looked on the internet and found double spark arresters of varying heights.
After almost 4 weeks of waiting, I called to follow up.  A rep called me back after speaking to the tech and reviewing the inspection report.  He said a hand cleaning was just as good as a cleaning with the equipment.  I told him there had been no fallout dirt from the hand cleaning.  He said the chimney must have been clean and metal chimneys don't usually have much.  This chimney had not been cleaned in the 32 years we have owned the home and the chimney is masonary.  The rep also said because we had a double fireplace with two vents of varying heights, they were not able to find a spark arrester to fit.  I told him that I had seen them on the internet.  He could not tell me the measurements taken by the tech so I don't believe they were on the inspection report.
The way we left it, the rep was going to speak to the manager and get back to me.  He said he wanted me to be satisfied with the work.  That was several days ago and I have not heard back from him.

Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning
We had Lucky Sully come to our newly renovated house to sweep our chimneys (two side by side wood burning fireplaces). During the inspection, we were advised that we ought to repair the flashing around the chimney, as well as install a new chimney cap (the house did not have a cap when purchased).
The cleaning was more needed than we realized, as a lot of construction dust had gotten caked onto the walls of our chimneys.
We opted for a more expensive chimney cap (a single stainless steel cap that spans both chimneys), which was a little bit more expensive than we had hoped for ($425), but at least it has a lifetime warranty, and looks great.

Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning
I called on Tuesday and got an appointment at 7am the next day.  Brian was on time and completed the work for the price that was quoted and within the time frame that I was told.  He was knowledgeable, professional and pleasant.  It is refreshing to have a company that actually does what, when and for how much that you were quoted.  I will be scheduling this service yearly.

This company was so unprofessional and unresponsive!  The first time I called and left a message, about 3 weeks after I got my coupon, I didn'r receive a call back for several weeks.  When I did, they left a messageasking if the work had been performed or if it needed to be scheduled, as if they had no records.  When I finally got to them and scheduled, the first time they were so late I had to cancel.  The second time they never came at all, and the third time they were so late I had to cancel.  I am now asking for my money back and would never use this company or recommend them to anyone.  If this is how they run their business, I can only imagine how shoddy their work would be.

Blodgett's Air Duct Chimney & Carpet Cleaning
I was selling a house and the buyers wanted the chimney inspected and swept. I had already purchased another home that had a fireplace and a pot belly stove. Blodgett's serviced the home I was selling and then followed me to the new house and serviced it as well. They were on time, kept everything clean, and were very knowledgeable about the pot belly stove. I think the price was around $100 for the one place and $150 for the other.

Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning
Brian called prior to the appointment time to say he was running a little late and showed up promptly according to his revised estimate.  He cleaned the chimney, did some repair work and placed a new cap.  He took care of the premises to ensure cleanliness and completed the work in an efficient manner.  Their pricing was competitive and I would certainly call Lucky Sully again for future chimney needs.

Company showed up exactly when scheduled and was very polite. Tech took time to make sure fireplace hearth and surrounding floor area were covered. With a camera scope showed the before state of the chimney and 20 minute later when completed the clean chimney. No mess and finished in 30 minutes. Will use again.

Brian arrived on time and did a great job cleaning all three of our chimneys.  He's also assisting in having some more in depth repairs done as well as replacing a chinmey cap.   Brian was were mindful not to let any of our pets get outside and also kept all work areas completely clean.  (Important with light colored carpets.)  I'll be giving Lucky Sully a call for the annual cleaning next year.
