ASOD Home GroupWe had such a positive experience with SOD Home Group, especially in working with Oren that we feel the need to write a review in case if someone else out there is searching for the same type of work on their home or even just a good construction company/contractor to work with. Prior to SOD Home Group, we worked with another contractor who not only didn’t deliver but took off with our money. We then contacted other contractors hoping they can do the job or recommend someone who is reliable to do the work, but it turns out they can only perform smaller projects. We decided to just give up on our vision of having a complete remodeling project of our home all together since it was too difficult to find someone who could take on the job and be trustworthy. But every time we looked at the wall it bothered us, I know first world problems, so we gave it one last shot. We sent a request out to multiple construction companies and SOD Home Group was one of the few who responded. When Oren came for the initial consultation, he was very well prepared, knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of details on what was involved (permits, inspections, cost, etc) so we knew we would move forward with SOD Home Group because of him. Long story short, we couldn’t be happier to have worked with him. He was very proactive and transparent throughout the entire process, updating us on timelines and of any delays. The best part of all is that any concerns we had or imperfection that we pointed out, he happily addressed them and got them corrected until we were happy with the results. Overall, the experience was impressive and we couldn’t be happier. For any future projects on home, SOD Home Group would definitely be our go to. Thanks SOD Home Group and Oren! ASOD Home GroupAll the amazing reviews about SOD Home Group were spot on! He and his crew were AWESOME! The work is superb. They did it in the time Oren promised and with attention to detail. He rolled with some changes and we couldn’t be happier. Oren was there every day to make sure all was going well, and he responded quickly to any text or question I had.Another thing I like about working with SOD Home Group was that everything was in writing. There were no surprises, and he did everything (actually more) that was agreed upon.We had SOD Home Group rebuild our entire home including the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, entry, garage and more…. Besides that, he added a set of stairs with 2 landings down the side of our hillside home. Part of the work was to remove the popcorn ceilings & re-plastering, removal of drop ceiling lights and install new lights instead. Removal of carpet and new flooring and molding installed, replaced old vanity with a new one. Everything looks so gorgeous, I couldn’t be happier.Oren’s prices may be higher than other contractors, but he is worth it for so many reasons. Mainly; I didn’t feel like I had to oversee every detail. ASOD Home GroupWe were so fortunate to find SOD home group to redesign our house. It has been a while since we did any remodeling or updates. Oren was attentive to each and every detail during the work. The type of materials, the paint of the walls, the combination of the cabinets and more and more… were picked up one by one to deliver us a ‘look like new‘ home. The whole coordination of who will work and when, what will they do daily, weekly and monthly – was managed by Oren. The office staff always made sure that the schedule and perfection are the top priority and they kept informing us regarding each and every step of the work. We cannot thank all the people who did the work and manage to complete it on time even though we are in a middle of a pandemic. My wife and I love our new home and that is thanks to SOD Home Group.- John B.

AStar Tuckpointing IncWe worked with two different tuck pointers last summer. Our experience could not be more different. We first contacted the tuck pointers due to moisture seeping thru the front parapet wall and draining into window frames. Since the repair by Star Tuckpointing, it is dry. Additional work was done on the side parapets and general tuckpointing and bricks replaced as needed. Star was very responsive, answered all of my questions completely and even drew sketches to help me understand the moisture problem. I found them very honest and even volunteered ways that would save money such as terminating one of a 3 chimney grouping since it wasn't functioning or needed. They were on time and worked the full day weather permitting and cleaned up well. They stayed on the job until it was completed. I would definitely call them first if I need tuckpointing services again. Call them early in the year, they book up quick.- Matthew H.

AHeron Stone MasonryWe as general contractors always say.., “we are only as good as our subcontractors”. How true it is. Working with Jake Blair was a great pleasure and a wonderful experience. He was our mason subcontractor on a 17k sq large custom home that we built. This magnificent home, resembling an Italian villa from the seventeenth century, has stone veneer on most of the exterior walls with arches. All windows and large doors had stone surrounds with very little or no tolerances built in. Four large fireplaces with stone mantles and a large stone entry was purchased in Europe and shipped to the USA in crates. After receiving all materials, under his supervision, all pieces were installed just as it was in the old country! His work was a significant master piece and added incredible design and value to the home. Jake is professional, reliable, and delivers amazing work. ASystem PaversI can only say one thing: Wow! I started shopping around for landscaping for my backyard 2 months ago. Right from the introduction to planning to execution to 'yet to finish and I have no doubts on it now', it has been a breeze. Lucas, the project manager, is super awesome! Starting from walking through the project requirements to discussing options, he has been super flexible. He explains things really well and his management/supervisory skills are too good. He makes sure to visit every day to ensure the crew is on track, the materials are in place and to check whether I am aligned with how the project has shaped up and if any changes are needed. I was skeptical on how the design would actually look on my backyard, but, I am super impressed with how things have shaped up. I am getting a combination of pavers, garden bed, water feature, turf...... done and I always like people when they understand the job requirement and are precise about it. The best thing I have been noticing right from the beginning is the attention to detail by Lucas and his crew. Furthermore, the work itself speaks to the experience. AMagnolia Home Remodeling GroupMy father had a heart attack and was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and needed quadruple bypass. I hopped on a plane from San Francisco with my 2 kids and arrived at my parents house in NJ and I really couldn't get over the state of the house when I arrived. Clearly my father has been sick for quite some time and allowed the house to deteriorate. There was flooding water sitting on the foundation of the back of house due to lack of gutters, paint peeling off everywhere, and the front steps were missing bricks and a hazard to all that would walk up them. I did a quick google search and found Magnolia Home Remodeling and Vic came out the next day for a quote. Vic could not have been a more compassionate, accommodating, wonderful guy! He was so understanding and told me he would have the job done in 5 days and was true to his word. As soon as I gave him the green light and picked the color, the crew came in and completed the job before my dad got home from the hospital as promised. They did beautiful work and my mom, dad, and myself could not be more pleased with the outcome. Vic was superb to work with--I texted him all kind of questions and he got back to me in an instant and would pick up the phone every time I called. I highly recommend using Magnolia and we are actually going to get a few more things done to the house (windows. some cement patio/sidewalks and driveway) in a few months when things settle down with my dad and we look forward to seeing Vic and his great crew again.- April Y.

FNot good. It’s like they just pull the charge off the top of their head without actually assessing the time and material. They tell you to men at a certain price then send one. Didn’t figure the correct amount of ground cover so charge another $200 for the next day to get more ground cover and an hour to put that in. The topper is that the first day I was out there away from my own work inside directing where the flagstone would be set and even moving and setting smaller rocks around the area. When told about the fee for the next day I asked about my labor the first day. I asked that the rest of the ground cover be covered by the company. Only 3 more flats. So the next day the guy brings only two Flats being cheap and spreads them more farther apart and doesn’t have enough to fill in the whole left side. So after a not so nice conversation about this I am told the worker will pick up another flat of ground cover but I would have to pay for it. ??? I said no thank you. I will finish the job myself. If you see this company name, keep scrolling. Much more knowledgeable and fairer prices out there.
