    Angels remodeling
I was impressed from the first meeting. Angel arrived when he said he would and gave an estimate later that day. His crew was professional, friendly, experienced and hard working. They zoomed through the list of things I wanted done and even suggested great alternative ideas for the updates I wanted (such as buying a standard sized patio door and walling in the extra foot of space instead of waiting a month for a custom door) I would recommend Angel and his team wholeheartedly.

Vidal Raymon "Ray" Sanchez (owner and sole proprietor of Ferreira Construction) ROBBED us of $22,914. After a lot of back and forth and on 3/22/18, Ferreira Construction (Vidal Raymon Sanchez) came to my house and we formally executed a written contract to remodel my kitchen (located at 30 Prentiss Place, San Ramon CA) for the contracted amount of $40,000. He began work on 3/23/18 and abandoned the project after only ripping out our exterior stucco (and exposing our house to the elements) on 3/23/18. He has been compensated, as per his prescribed payment schedule, $1000.00 (down payment, check #1427, 3/22/18), $20,000 (check #329 on 3/29/18 for ordering our custom cabinets) and $1,914 for an update/amendment to the cabinet design (check #1430 on 3/30/18). By abandoning our project, he is in breach of contract. He has completed nothing beyond demo of our exterior wall, in anticipation of new window installations. Our home is now exposed to the elements. On approximately 3/28/18 via phone, he agreed to start our job on 5/15. He never showed up on 5/15. Never called. I called him and he gave me an excuse that he was out of town due to a death in the family. He said hed be back and contact me on Sunday 5/20, in order to finally start on Monday 5/21. Monday has passed and he has not contacted me. He is not responding to texts, voice mail messages or emails. Instead, we check Yelp (reviews that were not there when we first retained him) only to find others who are in a similar predicament with us. This is how I got in touch with Lesley Johnson. Apparently he has done the same to her and others, with the same excuses about deaths in the family or sickness as to why he can't show up to work. As of this morning 5/22, the cabinet company says he never placed our cabinet order with them. OMG, proof positive that he basically lied from the beginning and simply stole our money! I'm SICK to my STOMACH. WARNING, DO NOT HIRE THIS CRIMINAL!!! SADLY, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT IS DEALING WITH THE EXACT SAME THING WITH THIS GUY!!!

    M&M Construction & Home Design
we have decided to remodel our house. We were very excited to move forward on our new projects based on money that we saved for this special moment. We called M&M Construction based on their review and reputation on Angie's List. After a short meeting with Mo, we had a feeling that M&M Construction Will meet our needs. As expected, all went smooth all the way to the end, exactly as they presented it at the first meeting. When the project was done- we couldn't be any happier! We are more than happy with M&M construction's workmanship, the quality of the work, the great prices and how fast things were going!!! We love our new home very much, Thank you so much M&M Construction

    Pacific Construction & Design
The team of professionals from Pacific construction and design were fantastic. During the work that they did at my house, I could see that they are detail oriented, hardworking and skilled. I have used Pacific construction and design services for a kitchen and bathroom remodeling and they did the work remarkably beautiful. My old kitchen was demolished completely and they installed new plumbing, cabinets, lightings and appliances while in the bathroom they replaced the tub and shower while installing new floor, hardware and vanity with double sink. During the work, I noticed that Ben was very honest and fair with me while having excellent communication skills as well. I didnt experienced any hidden charges or additional extras. With my past experience its hard to find a team who knows their work so well and that honesty is their main factor. I would definitely work with them again.

    Carpet One Floor & Home
Worst experience ever! Do not work with these people! 1. Terrible responsiveness. Contacted them with a request for quote and did not hear back for two weeks. Because they took so long to respond, that delayed the scheduling of the work and the project manager, Jeff Lewis had to go hire subcontractors to do the actual work. 2. The subcontractors that were hired did not know what they were doing. They made mistakes with the staircase by not cutting the wood to allow for nosing that hangs off the side of the step. The project manager never checked on the work and did not even notice the mistake until it was pointed out by me. 3. The entire staircase and landing needed to be redone and since they did not have the part to redo, they had to be reordered, which delayed the entire project. Even the initial project did not progress as quickly as it could have due to delivery delays. Poor project management! 4. Flooring in the bedrooms is wobbly, crappy craftsmanship. 5. Baseboards are not attached correctly leaving huge gaps between the flooring and the bottom of the baseboard. 6. Entire project was supposed to be completed in 1 week and it took more than 3 weeks. 7. Throughout the entire process, the project manager, Jeff Lewis was not responsive. Over one weekend, he did not respond to text messages at all claiming he was on vacation where there was no cell reception. 8. During every part of the process, no accurate estimate of timeline was given, did not meet promised deadline time after time, during which I had to live on an air mattress on the first floor for three weeks. 9. The subcontractors made a huge mess in the house everyday and failed to clean up after themselves. They cut the wood right in front of the front door with the door open causing all the dust to fly into the house day after day. They also cut the wood in the backyard and made a huge mess, which they did not clean up. They also stored the baseboards in the backyard without covering them during rainy days. Attached all the baseboards without peeling off the barcode stickers. All around a poor, shoddy work. 10. Tony apologized for the hassle and took off $1,000 from the total bill, however does not make up for the cost of cleanup and delay, which in turn I had to reschedule my move-in three times with the movers and keep my belongings in the storage for two extra weeks.

    Amador Tile
Art is a true professional.  His goal is to provide you with an end product that you will love.  Art is very meticulous with regard to all aspects of the job, which my wife and I can appreciate.  Art was very considerate about our time, showing up when he said, cleaning the job site each night, and communicating with us regarding the plans for the next day.

Art was in constant communication with us regarding the different stages of the job and made sure we knew about any major decision before he started the next step.

If you want someone who cares about what you want, excels in every aspect of his job, is on time, and is available to answer any question you may have, then Art is the guy for your job.

We will never hire anyone else for any of our future tile projects.

    Everlast Construction
I am currently having my entire house remodeled and build 2nd floor addition: kitchen, living room, dinning room, back porch, bathroom, all the wiring in the house and the panel box are being upgraded and replaced, foundation needed reinforcement. New bathroom addition design & built, the owner Ari showed me all the confidence I needed to see to turn this project over to him. Amazingly, even though this project is still a work in progress as I write this review, I have had very little questions as Ari has made it a point to explain everything to me. Because of Ari I know what the construction guys are working on, how they are working on it and why they are doing what they are doing. Ari arranged for the architect to design the plans, oversaw the blueprints getting approved by the city and got all the building permits needed. There has been just a ton of building inspectors coming to my house and they have signed off at each stage of construction.
The construction crew has been a joy to be with. They are funny, playful, respectful and man o man do they hustle. I have dropped in to see them in the morning and later in the afternoon I am just in awe over how much work they have accomplished. They are highly professional and I can see that they take a lot of pride in their work. I cannot ask for more. Everlast is a good company, project manage Ari is professional and intelligent and yet one of the friendliest guys you will meet, and I cannot speak high enough about the construction crew. Would I recommend these guys? Absolutely.

    Platinum Flooring Company
What a mess.  Once Platinum had the money for the deposit, things went
south from a communication, schedule, and price perspective.  It kept
    going down.
I worked with Azam to schedule measuring for wood
flooring installation. Contractor verified he measured everything as
requested. I talked to Azam to confirm enough material to cover 970 SQ
FT was being ordered and paid for by me. He confirmed.
Weeks later, the trucking company driver calls me out of the blue - as I was
walking out the door to the office  - saying he would be there with the
flooring delivery in 20 minutes.  More than two and a half hours later,
he shows up without as much as an apology.
On the first day, contractor shows up to install, I get a call from Alex saying the order
missed all requested rooms on the second floor.  Blaming me for the
error and needing to order another 155 SQ FT, Alex told me I have to pay
more for material and installation or they would stop all work and walk
away. That amounts a significant increase in cost.
    I have dealt
with more than 30 contractors this year, spending nearly $200K, and
these are the only guys so bold as to blame you for a mistake on their
part - let alone a major one - and then demand you pay or say they will
walk away and leave you with a mess to clean up.

    Strong Built Construction
Andrew and his workers did an excellent job on all the work they did in my home, and it turned out beautifully.  He answered all my questions, I had many of them and even gave great advice.  The estimates that he gave me were accurate, no surprises once the work started.  Everyone at Strong Built Construction was great to work with and always professional.  The work area was kept tidy and clean, and they always put down cloth for all the walkways.  I was impressed with the great work they did , they did not rush the remodeling, and finished the job on time.
I would recommend Andrew at Strong Built Construction to my family and friends.  Their experience and attention to detail show in the the finished result.  I am very happy with our new bathroom and office area.  I will hire them again.

    Homeworx Construction & Plumbing
I purchased a 2 hr handyman special and was in need of having a bedroom painted so I sent a message through Angie's list and was pleasantly surprised when I quickly received a response back. They were very friendly and professional. I was worried about painting after I had new carpet installed two day prior but the painter did a excellent job and everything looks great. Best of all they were able to get everything done very quickly. I will definitely be using them again.
