It's very fast, it's efficient and they do quality work. It took them about 10 or 15 minutes to complete the service. I keep going back there because it's one of the ones that are right near me and it's fast and I don't have to worry about it, I just drive up and they do the work.

I spent $700. It was done well and it was everything that I expected. They provided a rental vehicle for me and everything went smoothly. I got called when I expected and I loved the service. I would tell others that they're a hassle-fre company to deal with. The service person I worked with I've been going to them for 2 years now.

I have visited twice and everything has gone well so far. They are convenient for me and I have been pleased with their service. It is a big dealership and they have quite an assembly line. It is easy to get my car into them and I can even schedule online.

se in I used Marin Vehicle Repair for about 7 years. Most of the work was safisfactory. The most perplexing outcome was their
failure to diagnose my truck's emissions problems. It turned out that the valves in the number 3 cylinder were not working
properly. I had to take it to another shop for someone to figure that out.
As time went by, Debra, the owner seemed to start taking me for granted as a cash cow. Two years ago she told she "would like to" replace the battery although she could not justify it. (I am still running on the same battery today). The final straw was the tensioner rod on my Jetta. They replaced it once in February, 2012, and again in March 2013. The second time I complained because the part had failed so quickly, and because she had installed another part without prior approval, so they refunded the money for the materials.
The second tensioner broke again in October 2013, and this time I had it replaced at a different
garage, never returning to Marin Vehicle Repair again.

It went well. Pretty much a no-brainer here. Paid $5 for a card worth $25 in Shell gasoline. Used card and got $25 worth of gasoline. No hitches. No problems. Really not much more one could say about it.

My experience has gone very well. We no longer use this company because we purchased a new vehicle under warranty, but I was very pleased with their services. The pricing was reasonable. When you visit you always get to interact with the owner and he was very personable. I would recommend this company to others.

At the time I made the appointment, Steve had mentioned that they would be closing at 1:00 p.m. that day.  This was for a general check-up so there would be no problem picking up the car by 1:00 p.m.  I have had my car serviced there prior and had thought they did quality work.  I took a vacation day from work and brought my car in before they were scheduled to open for the day.  I waited, walked around, sat in my car and listened to the radio and about twenty minutes after they were scheduled to open I called the number on the building.  The message stated that they would be closed on Friday, January 31st.  Wait a minute... I had an appointment and I used a vacation day to do this!  I left him a message and took my car to another shop (gratefully they had time to service the car)..  He never bothered to call and cancel my appointment, he just didn't show up.  Seriously unprofessional.  I won't be back.  (The "B" for quality and price are from previous experiences.)

I used them for 15 to 20 years. They are extremely good and only work for Japanese cars, that is what we happen to ask. They are just very good. In fact, they are certified to do warranty work rather than have to take car to the dealership which we do not use them for that but that is how good they are. I took my car there about 5 weeks ago and it cost $120. They are trustworthy and I have never had the situation where I thought they would try to do more than the necessary to run the build-up. And what they do is top-notch and really good mechanic. I never worry about any work that they do and I do not have to go back for repeat visit. They are very professional for they ran their business in a professional way. Everything is super clean. You have heard the proof audio and you get it off the floor which is inevitable for an animal beyond mechanic shop.

I dropped in without an appointment. Jim seemed extremely busy, but took the time
to listen about my concern, an oil drip. He stopped everything and personally
put my Forester on the hoist. The Subaru has a common problem with leaking head
gaskets. Mine is just enough to get onto the exhaust pipes but not the garage
floor. Jim told me he could fix it for around $2,000, but suggested that since
it is so slight that I monitor oil consumption and return in 20,000 miles. Two other shops did not offer this option.

    Mill Valley Auto Service
The charge for the damage evaluation was too high; but most importantly, the estimate to make the repairs was extremely high with seemingly not needed replacement of undamaged parts. Their estimate of over $3,000 was not accepted, and I had to pay to have the car towed to another repair shop that I trusted.  The second repair shop(Hi Tec Auto in San Rafael, CA) completed the needed repairs and charged about $1,000.
I believe the person that did the estimate at Mill Valley Auto Service was either incompetent or possibly trying to "rip me off". In addition, the AAA tow truck driver from Red Hill Towing in San Rafael was the one who recommended  Mill Valley Auto Service as a near-by shop that "would take of me". That obviously leads one to wonder whether there is some financial relationship underlying this tow truck driver or company and Mill Valley Auto Service.
