ASOD Home GroupSOD Home Group is seriously the best group of people to work with! They turned around my complete house - kitchens, bathrooms, floors, patio, backyard and studio were all renovated. It was a complete overhaul and a tremendous job. Everything was so well done, but in particular I need to give a shout out to the work they did converting the garage into an open plan studio unit I can now Airbnb. That work is truly beautiful and has been noticed by guests and realtors for its quality! To give you some context–before SOD Home Group redid my house, it was an old house that had been shown little love over the years. The original bathrooms were in such a sad state–the showers leaked into the basement whenever the water ran. There was little to no natural light in the house at all. Eden from SOD Home Group helped me to redesign the entire house to modernize it into a beautiful home! Oren oversaw the entire project for 18 months so really so much credit for this job goes to him (see further down for even more of my recommendation!) We started with the bathrooms, which was a complete overhaul of the tiling, toilet, shower, vanity, etc. For the shower, they tarred and sealed the base of the shower completely–which has turned out beautifully. Then we did the kitchen which again was a complete overhaul job. Cabinets, countertop, appliances, cutting a hole in the wall to accommodate the new countertop island… it was all handled so well! Then we did floors… for the entire house! These floors are gorgeous–they’re treated reclaimed barn wood with beautiful texture and grain. I recommend asking for them to be double waxed (just my preference) because I like to make sure they’re very smooth, but some people prefer the rougher texture under foot. All the walls inside and outside the house were completely painted. We worked hard to figure out the color scheme. Oren has a great sense of color–he was such a great help in this process!!! I went with a simple gray and white for the exterior paint, which let the natural red brick and wood of the craftsman shine through! I’m so happy with the results–it makes the house look brand new!!! Then the Pearl team moved on to the garage/studio conversion. This was such an epic job I can’t even describe!!! As we began digging, we found that the old garage unit was missing a foundation! Because of city regulations, we couldn’t move any of the existing walls in the remodel, so Oren and his amazing team actually dug under the existing structure and installed a cement foundation!!! This was an epic undertaking and we followed the city codes very closely. Everything was done to code and done amazingly well! The results really speak for themselves, so look at the photos–I now have a 400 sq ft open plan self-contained studio I can rent or AirBnB for additional income! And finally, the team moved on to the backyard and patio! This involved knocking down existing brick wall and digging up 6ft deep concrete installed by the previous owner, which was a complete eyesore to the property! My backyard isn’t big enough to accommodate a bobcat, so the team spent weeks digging up this concrete slab with jackhammers and shovels! What was installed in its place is a beautiful firepit, garden wall, and a new cedar wood fence. They also installed pavers as footpath and new garden boxes for growing herbs. Oren also brought in a team to install a patio cover, which now provides beautiful shade for parties during the day! SOD Home Group did such a great job throughout the whole house, were so professional, and really went out of their way to make sure everything was the best. I had my home revalued shortly after the renovation and it skyrocketed in value because of the work from SOD Home Group. Finally, if you get the chance to be so lucky, ask to work with Oren. You’ll be thankful you did! I’ve worked with him for the past 18 months and I can say without a doubt he put his heart into the project and went out of his way to make sure I was happy with the results. He has impeccable taste, attention to detail, and a big heart for his clients - all winning combinations for a stellar project manager! He has a wonderful network of people who can get him the best deals on materials - he’s loved and trusted by his team! Oren follows up with his clients to make sure everything is working perfectly and to make sure you are truly happy with the result. Oren is a truly good, honest and hardworking guy and I’d work with him again in a heartbeat! I cannot recommend SOD Home Group and Oren and his team highly enough! ASOD Home GroupWe have had Oren and the crew from SOD Home Group do three large projects for us. They first extended our garage. We received many compliments on that project because they took the time to make it match our existing home. Next, we added two bedrooms and a bathroom to the back of our home. Again the design and final product match our home perfectly. Our recent project was an extension of our roofline on the back of the house to give us a nice covered patio. Our only regret was not thinking of it when the addition was done. At that time we happy with the final look and decided to extend the roof line on our front porch too. It was getting full sun and was always too hot. We are very pleased with the work SOD Home Group does for us. We have a couple of small jobs left and will be calling them for that too. AConstruction MastersI RARELY write reviews, but I want to explain why I am so BLESSED to have found Construction Masters! I was put in charge of helping my family remodel their home in Encino. There were many things that needed to be done: installing new tile, repairing gates and doors; restoring original bannisters, dry rot, kitchen and 2-bathroom remodels - some major things but also all the odds and ends. The quality of the work, attention to detail, the range of technical expertise was above and beyond. The workers were hard working, efficient, and highly professional, often going above and beyond to give the little extra care to the home. Throughout the whole project it was ***easy to communicate****, easy to schedule, timelines and options were clear. I could be at work and know that everything would take care of everything for me. I had the pleasure of working with Tomar on a small kitchen remodel, my house is 1200 ft.² with three bedrooms and two baths, the overall kitchen dimensions were approximately 250 ft.² small kitchen. Tomar with his 22 years of experience was able to capture myself and my wife’s vision with excellent ideas on how to utilize every square inch in my kitchen to maximize the space. Additionally Tomar has impeccable follow up and is there 24 seven to support you the customer and making sure that you are satisfied with the end result. I had the fortune of getting five bids for this kitchen remodel however no one came close to the work ethic or peace of mind that I experienced during this journey with Tomar. I called a few companies, John answered the phone and within 20 minutes, he arrived, and his crew was able to vacuum up all the water and save my kitchen cabinets! They removed all the wet drywall, dried everything, and even put all the drywall back and painted! I didn’t have to look for other repairmen because John coordinated all the repairs to get me back to normal fast! It was less than a week! I had water issues a while back and that company took over 4 weeks, with me having to schedule workers to repair my home. You can’t go wrong hiring John for any of your water or mold issues.

AThree months ago, in early November (2017), I discovered a problem with one of the dry-walls in my kitchen. It seemed to be water-related but I could not see what was going on. I suspected some sort of water-leak. I was not sure how to proceed, but in reviewing the list of contractors on Angie's List I found Zimax. They advertised what seemed like the skill-set I needed and they were local. I called them and they were able to respond quickly (1-2 hours). They immediately were able to diagnose the problem, cutting into the wall and finding the cold-water line that had failed. They summoned a plumber for me, who replaced the failed section of pipe. Unfortunately, the water had gone down and under the floor in my kitchen/dining area and into the master-bath that was on the other side of the wall. What then was required was to expose all of the areas that had been soaked and start a drying process. The soaked area proved to be quite extensive so quite a bit of my kitchen tile sub-floor, dining area sub-floor, and master bath tile sub-floor was very wet. Zimax had the equipment and expertise to effect the drying process, which took approximately 10 days. They also had all of the general contractor skills needed to restore all of those areas. This turned out to be quite a bit of work, since the damaged tile and hardwood flooring could not be matched, it all had to be replaced. Approximately four weeks was required to acquire the materials and accomplish the task. Considering the scale of the work, this was a not a slow pace. My goal was to get my house back to the condition it had been before the pipe failed. I can tell you that I hosted a Super Bowl party a few days ago and the guests who did not previously know that I had gone through this process did not notice any differences in my house until they were told what had happened. So, mission accomplished thanks to Zimax. I have found Zimax to be all that they say they are. They are responsive to the customer's needs and deliver what they sign up for. I would not hesitate to hire then again for any general contracting task. And it is good to know that they have the emergency response skills set if I ever need it again. Dave Bradley

He knows how to solve problems. Most importantly, he is a good person with good intentions. He understands the way of our world where quality work and customer care matter. Pure Restoration basically reconstructed my home after a horrible combination of fire and water damage. I am married with two small kids and uprooting us from our home was stressful, but Tommy did not add to the stress.
