    The gentlemen was very helpful and punctual. I needed a new junction box because of a blown fuse in the box. He realized that the dishwasher wasn���t sliding back in smoothly and redrilled the hole between under the sink and the dishwasher area so that the hoses wouldn���t be in the way. He went above and beyond which I really appreciated.

    Sears Appliance Repair
    It cost about $2,100. When they brought in the washer and set it up, the washer was actually defective, some of the little lights wouldn’t work. So, I had to wait and they brought another one and set it up. The guys that came out were great. I’d tell other to shop around. The workers were fine. As far as the installation guys, I would give them an “A”. The people at the store, I would give an “B”, because I think some of it was misinformation.

    Provider repaired my washing machine.? It was not draining.? He repaired a bad switch and then tested the machine to make sure it was working properly.? As he was finishing, he told me that the water hoses were old (they were 22 years old) and should be replaced.? I had him replace the hoses since I knew they were old and I didn't want them to burst.? He was very professional and polite. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

    Technician came as promised to check on dishwasher and cloth washer.
    Spent a good amount of time diagnosing situation. Cloth washer was fine.
    After we discovered dishwasher control panel was done, it was time to get a new one.
    Went down to showroom after couple of days and picked a new one, paid and set an appt. for installation.
    Installation was brisk, old unit removed, new unit tested and we are happy.
    Their pricing was pretty reasonable but I am at a stage where quality and experience make or break a deal.

    BEAVERTON PLUMBING INC
    The plumber was scheduled to arrive at 3 to 5pm, but came around noon. He called and I told him I wanted to see him in person, but I was out at the time. He came and called me to say there was no pipe problem and he therefore could do nothing. He said it was the foundation. Common sense tells me this isn't correct because the water immediately shows up on the basement floor when the outside faucet is turned on. It would take longer than that if it is a foundation problem. Plus, the foundation isn't even wet on the outside of the house. He took the $99 that I paid through Angies List and did nothing and gave me no new information. I already knew the water connection to the dishwasher was leaking (that was not fixed), I already knew there was a leak when the outside faucet was turned on. And he didn't install the garbage disposal. I want my $99 refunded to me. This is a bad plumber. I do not recommend him.

    The owner of Beaverton Plumbing asked if her manager could assess the leaks and install the garbage disposal. I agreed and this was done. The manager sent pictures of the hole in the foundation. The owner and manager handled the situation very professionally.

    Smith Brothers Appliance Repair
    I called them and they were on Angie's List. They were horrible. They made me wait for a month. In the mean time, my refrigerator died so I had to buy another refrigerator. They waited for a $400 part that I didn't even need. My refrigerator wasn't that old. I could have repaired it under warranty. I had problems with the warranty people they sent out before. They did refund my $200 deposit. They came out and I gave them the $200 deposit. They never called me for a month. It was an issue for service. I won't recommend them to anyone.

    We luckily didn’t have to use them for a while.  We’ve used them in the past and we found them to be very good.  We would have used them again if we had problems.  We really haven’t had the need for them in several years.  We just did over our kitchen and our laundry room.  So we put new appliances in and we haven’t had to call them for a long time.  They did a nice job with the oven repair.  It was a very good experience.  They have always done a good job for us.  They come when they say they’re supposed to come.  They had to order the piece that we needed to have and that’s usual.  We don’t think anybody keeps inventory any more.  They came back with it, and they did charge us for coming to look and telling us what it was.  They had a good suggestion.  They suggested that since it  had just gotten out of warranty that we call the local manufacturer.  They said we would probably get a discount on it and so that’s what we did.  They sent it to us, and then they came back and put it in.  So they had a good suggestion.  They came quickly.

    Then I asked for an estimate for my leaking refrigerator. In 5 minutes he diagnosed the problem. A piece was broken and failed to hold the cabinets. Because of the failure, the door was not closing and causing the leak. He is ordering the part to replace it. Even greater he saw the age and wear on my stove. I was planning to replace it this summer. And he explained the electrical work I would need to upgrade the wires because the new electrical stoves are designed to plug in. Please advise your CEO that I am perfectly pleased how your company responded with incredible speed and competence. Angie's List is the only avenue I will use for condo repairs

    Barry and his second hand man, Alex, showed up earlier than expected which is always a good thing. He stated that he would be at my home between 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and he arrived at 9:04 a.m. :)  I have a Whirlpool Duet dryer and I informed him that I would set the time for a 42 minute cycle and then come back later to have the time show as a 78 minute cycle and this is after the 42 minute cycle was done. The dryer never stopped. It would just continue to run. He asked me if a number code appeared on the panel and I told him no. He stated that a number code is supposed to appear to inform you of a possible problem (if the code would've appeared I would've looked through my owner's manual to see what the problem is). Barry was very thorough in his analysis of what needed to get repaired. He informed me that the dryer's flexible duct was not to code and should be replaced with a smooth metal duct. I totally agreed with him since I was the one who put the flexible duct on and the last thing I needed to happen was to have a lint fire. He also told me that there was lint build up in the flexible duct and that the vent was build up as well. Also, what need to be replaced was the thermostat. Barry was very good at explaining why certain items needed to be replaced and what would happen if they were not. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable and Alex was very nice as well.
    I only gave the price a B because I'm not certain if I could have gotten the work done for less but because Barry was well equipped at fixing my dryer I had him do the repair. I will definitely use him again.
