    Douglass Avalos
Douglass and his wife were punctual, professional, and pleasant to work with. I had a plumbing emergency at 10:30 at night. He responded to my Angie's list request within a few minutes. I asked him to come by early the next morning. Douglass found and resolved the problem pretty quickly. I'm very pleased with the service and I would hire him again without hesitation. Besides being good at his trade he is also a really nice person.

    Reddi Rooter
He did both jobs within 1 1/2 hrs. Got my 10% off labor for being a senior. Also gave us bid for new hot water heater and ways to save when we get it done. Took care of the problems and was neat and efficient about it!

    Sticks & Stones Construction
Jason was very meticulous and always made sure all the work was done well and to code by his team. He was responsive by email and text and handled all of our big and small requests. Our project was delayed by several weeks due to delays in some of the materials we ordered, but Jason promptly installed and fixed things up once our materials arrived. Jason helped us with a bathroom and kitchen remodel. We had contacted many contractors. Many contractors ignored us outright and others showed up and promised to follow up and never did. From the start Jason was upfront with his timelines and the costs. We appreciated his honesty and when the job was completed we were happy because their were no hidden costs. We have used other contractors in the past who started the job then added additional costs. During the bathroom remodel, Jason's team found a significant amount of wood rot due to leaking pipes and other not-to-code issues with our house. He let us know immediately, did not ignore the problems and offered a cost effective solution. Jason made sure all of his team's work was up to code and did a thorough job fixing the wood rot. We highly recommend working with Jason and his company!!

    EJ Plumbing
I had multiple issues with toilets and sinks.  First, Patty was very easy to work with, regarding scheduling, and was cheerful about rescheduling when a first appointment didn't work out (my phone's fault; they couldn't reach me).
Victor came (to San Mateo) and did a great job.  He was very good about pointing out cheaper alternatives in case I wanted to use them, and great at fixing toilet and sink when I had decided.
I will definitely use EJ Plumbing again.

    ATLAS PLUMBING & ROOTER
I had explained what kind of bathroom fixture I wanted and their choice was perfect. THey replaced it and cleaned the bathroom floor when they were finished  They also replaced 30 feet of drain pipe under the house. They waited until the washing machine had completed a whole cycle before they left. I am very pleased with their work and will use them in the future.

    ATLAS PLUMBING & ROOTER

I can not say enough positive things the service performed.  It was my third attempt getting it fixed.  I had called a large plumbing company (perhaps the largest) the night before and the person sent did not know what was wrong and said it would take at least 4 hours to pull the toilet and it could not be done that night. My regular handyman said it was beyond his scope.

The next day I called Atlas.  They were there within an hour.  They did have to pull the toilet because we could not find where the sewer came in.  When I mentioned I was planning to buy a new toilet they told me exactly what kind to go buy.  They were finished before I returned from Lowe's,  installed  my new toilet and hauled away my old one.

They also mopped my bathroom floors and cleaned out the tubs and shower-a job was not looking forward to.

    Bell Plumbing
It was an emergency service on a weekend. James from Bell came out promptly while we couldn't find other plumbing services on the same day. James solved the problem quickly and provided good advice for future maintenance. Very satisfied with the service. The cost was a big more than expected, but it was an emergency on a weekend, so it is not all that unreasonable.
    Highly recommend James and Bell.

    ATLAS PLUMBING & ROOTER
These guys came out 3 times to our house.
The 1st guys that came were good and reasonably priced. They fixed a broken u-bend pipe under the kitchen sink, cleared 2 shower drains, fixed a faucet that wasn't working, and ran a camera down the sewer line. This cost about $500-600. They were punctual and reasonbly priced.
The next time a different guy came. He checked the pressure entering our house and gave us an estimate for changing a faucet. He did not charge us.
The third time, however, was a disaster. We bought 2 new kitchen faucets and asked them to come install them, expecting this would cost $200 per faucet, and also to update 6 outdoor spigots with backflow preventers that they provided, which we expected would cost $100/spigot (which is still ridiculous). While he was under the sink, he suggested we "change the angle stops", and said this would cost about $400. They arrived late, took 4-5 hours, and then charged us $2800, which was WAY beyond what we expected. In no way did he explain that this "upsell" of changing the angle stops would cost us twice as much as we were expecting. It was a big disappointment.

    Grant Plumbing
Grant Plumbing showed up early, after texting to let me know they were going to be about a half hour early.   They ran into difficulty after the snake from the kitchen clean out couldn't clear the clog.  They then got creative and were able to clear the clog from under the house.
Over all a great experience, they were prompt, professional and knew what they were doing.  Pricing was reasonable.  Would use them again.

    James Caccia Plumbing Inc
I called James Caccia plumbing on Thursday morning to have someone unclog our shower drain.  They scheduled a plumber for Thursday afternoon, which was prompt and convenient.  Joe B, the plumber, showed up a few minutes early and was both friendly and professional.  He was very prepared and got to work quickly.  I was happy that Joe was very clean and respectful of our home, taking care in setting up his tools in our bathroom.  He was able to clear the clog in our shower trap within 30 minutes and took the time to make sure the clog was clear.  Joe was thorough cleaning up and getting things put back together.
The only downside was the cost, which at approximately $250 was higher than I expected.  However, I needed the drain unclogged and trusted the company's expertise based on other reviews here.  Joe provided great service and I thank him for that!
