    EDI Remodeling
EDI helped us with our home renovation, which included two and a half bathrooms and our living room. I can only say good things about the work and the process. Asaph made it very easy and simple for us, the work started on time and was completed ahead of schedule. We got exactly what we wanted and I think the price was fair. We plan on remodeling our kitchen next year and hope that Evolve could help us with the next project as well. Thank you very much!

    Sticks & Stones Construction
Jason was very meticulous and always made sure all the work was done well and to code by his team. He was responsive by email and text and handled all of our big and small requests. Our project was delayed by several weeks due to delays in some of the materials we ordered, but Jason promptly installed and fixed things up once our materials arrived. Jason helped us with a bathroom and kitchen remodel. We had contacted many contractors. Many contractors ignored us outright and others showed up and promised to follow up and never did. From the start Jason was upfront with his timelines and the costs. We appreciated his honesty and when the job was completed we were happy because their were no hidden costs. We have used other contractors in the past who started the job then added additional costs. During the bathroom remodel, Jason's team found a significant amount of wood rot due to leaking pipes and other not-to-code issues with our house. He let us know immediately, did not ignore the problems and offered a cost effective solution. Jason made sure all of his team's work was up to code and did a thorough job fixing the wood rot. We highly recommend working with Jason and his company!!

    SOD Builders
We enjoyed very much working with Avi, Sari and their crew at SOD builders to remodel our master bathroom/bedroom and guest bathroom. During the remodeling project, the communications between us and the people who been at the house was very good and in fact it really helped with most of the stress that we had during the remodeling. The quality of each one of the crew was top notch and we were really surprised when we saw how they work. Each one of them always wanted to be sure that we were happy. Sari and Avi were fun and easy people to work with in the design and implementation stages. They were a huge help for us since we our design knowledge was not big. They kept listing to what we likes and dislikes and help us to find the perfect products for our remodeling. At the end of the work, everything looks very beautiful and all of our questions were addressed and solved to our satisfaction. We dont see ourselves happier with the results of how our remodeling project came out.

    Argos Construction

Argos Construction did a wonderful kitchen renovation for us. The work was first class, on time and within budget. Viktor was extremely knowledgeable about and attentive to the multitude of details involved in the project. He answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly, and he really helped us keep this project within budget. He worked very closely with our kitchen designer, and personally made sure that everything was done correctly and that all of the few "punch list" items were done promptly and to our satisfaction. Viktor is a very decent, pleasant, trustworthy, hard-working guy. The quality of the work was excellent. The quality of the team was excellent and very professional. Great people to work with. Highly recommend Argos Construction. Will gladly use them again.

    Shaker Construction, Inc.
Out with the old, in with the new.  Phil from Shaker Construction helped pick out materials, including great ideas with the tile back splash, the small glass tiles added an elegant touch to the kitchen.
3 stops to pick out all the pieces, and I could just sit back and relax while the old kitchen disappeared and the new one materialized.  All while keeping the place clean and the kitchen usable as long as possible.  I love my new kitchen. Thanks Phil.
Shaker has work on many projects in my home, from small repair jobs to large remodels, I?ve always been very happy with the work.

    America's Dream HomeWorks
I'm a repeat customer. They did a full kitchen demo, design and remodel for our townhouse in 2012. In both the previous job and this year's job (full kitchen, family room, and master bathroom demo, design and remodel), the work was excellent, the quotation was accurate and their timeline was strictly followed.  This job was much more complicated but they finished the initially quoted job within seven weeks of starting (late January 2015 to mid March 2015). There were several changes we made mid-project that had to be wrapped up a little later. Kitchen and related work: Demo including removal of floor tile, cabinets, old appliances, old light fixtures, partial wall removal; moving sink and associated plumbing, moving vents and associated HVAC, removing bigger window and replacing with smaller window; update electrical panel for house to meet updated kitchen appliance power requirements; install new LED lights and switches, install new cabinets and appliances; install new sink and quartz counters and subway tile backsplash, install new floor tile, new texture and paint, install new baseboards Family room and related work (next to kitchen): Demo including removal of old carpet, wainscoting, partial wall removal; install new LED lights and light/fan and switches; install new hardwood floor, stain hardwood to match existing hallway, install new baseboards; install new structural support beams and concrete footing. Assorted work around the house: installing room lights and fans in all bedrooms and installing blower in guest bathroom. Overall we were very happy with our completed project and would happily hire this vendor and recommend this vendor to others.  For the sake of completeness I list the key pros and a few minor cons.

    1. Design and End Result - Mark, the company owner and a senior designer, listened carefully to what changes we wanted to make and provided 3D design drawings in a short amount of time.  We had two other contractors bid on this project and we did not get any initial sketches from them verifying that they understood what our final target layout was.  One of the contractors wouldn't even agree verbally that he would put the sink where we wanted it.  With Mark we knew that what he drafted for us after our initial on-site consult was what they planned to do and if we had any changes we could mark up the design draft and discuss.  The work contract is very detailed as well so I feel like they do their best to document and then meet or exceed expectations.
    2. Timeline and Schedule - I've heard many horror stories of contractors dragging their feet and missing deadlines.  I'm always impressed how well ADH schedules its work and workers so that there are no surprises as far as work progress.  They do what needs to be done to meet the contracted schedule.  They did start the bathroom and kitchen at the same time and they were planning to finish at the same time but the bathroom did finish first due to some structural work that had to be done on a load bearing wall in the kitchen.  Also we added many work items to the initial quotation and they were very agreeable about incorporating it into the initial schedule, to my surprise.
    3. Crew - The on-site crew (headed by Vlad B.) were professional and courteous and approachable.  As Mark says they are part of the family business.  They took pride in their work and they cleaned up every day.  I felt very comfortable working around them when I was at home.  They were very respectful of our home.  Every so often there would be area experts from their staff (hardwood floor install, wall texture, shower marble install) too and they were professional and courteous as well.

    1. Payment - After the initial designs are provided there is pressure to put down a deposit to proceed.  Given that they were the only vendor that provided designs upfront  I think I understand their desire to get a financial commitment but it may surprise some customers.
    2. Structural Support - Work was started without knowing for sure if the walls we wanted removed were load bearing.  We found out later there would need to be structural reinforcement.  We did have to slow down work on the kitchen while that unscheduled issue was addressed but everything eventually got back on schedule.  We had several discussions with Mark though and we clarified that the structural support had to be sufficient for a possible second floor addition in the future.
    3. Details - We caught some details before installation (noticed some measurement marks in kitchen for placement of fridge and nearby cabinets was off) and a few things had to be addressed after installation (design drawing for bathroom had cabinet above toilet but it was missing from work contract - I should have noticed that earlier, at install, was missing some drawers to be installed in bathroom).  Even though we've worked with this vendor before, in general, with a big contracting job it's important to check the details regularly (such as every day) independently by reviewing the contract and informally by discussing latest progress with the on-site project lead.  Communication is key.

    MCA Remodeling
From the beginning, MCA offered excellent help while shopping with us to select materials for each room.
They allowed space to express our likes and dislikes, while offering experienced suggestions when we were in doubt.
Prudently, MCA was sure to order and receive all materials before beginning work.
MCA seems quite discerning in selecting their crafts people and associates, like painters, granite finishers, and shower door
We found their team of workers to be honest, friendly, highly-skilled, and hard-working.
We learned and respected -- as we had heard widely -- that construction and remodeling has inevitable timing delays and surprise technical puzzles to solve.
Also MCA had days when other jobs and needs delayed our progress.
So at our home, there were days when nothing happened, and balancing moments when one, two, or more craftsmen were on the job.
Money-wise, the MCA cost estimate was 30% less than the highest competitor.
They were totally true to their financial contract, even when unexpected, added modifications were needed.
Were we to identify MCA's growing edge, it would be improved communication and more focus on continuity to begin and finish in a slightly more timely manner.
We know that is easier for us to ask than it is to fulfill in the challenging world of remodeling and staffing.
It really does take a village to coordinate and complete all of the various requirements -- material choices, teamwork, electrical, plumbing, tiling, and much more.
There are inconveniences, surprises, and a need for patience.
In the end was it all worth it, and would we highly recommend MCA?
    We surely would, YES.

    Mirat Marble & Granite
As part of a home remodel this year, we updated our living room fireplace. Mirat Marble and Granite was recommended to us to do the stone work by the company that designed and fabricated the wood mantel. We met with the owner, Mario Mirat, and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful in discussing what materials to use and the specifics of the proposed construction. He recommended several companies that sold stone slabs and even accompanied us as we made the rounds and selected what we wanted. We settled on Absolute Black Granite and Mario pointed out the best slab, then arranged to pick it up and transport it to his shop. He fabricated and installed the hearth and fireplace face and the results are, quite frankly, breathtaking. He is a true artisan who learned his craft from his father in Croatia. The installation is beautifully crafted and complements the wood mantel perfectly. He did exactly what he said he would do, provided a wealth of information and suggestions along the way, and delivered a gorgeous finished product at a reasonable cost. Our impression was that for Mario, each project he does is not just a job but a labor of love in which he takes great pride. We think that is as it should be and we feel fortunate to have found him. We plan to use Mario again at some point to replace our kitchen countertops and recommend him without hesitation to anyone who is interested in marble or granite stone work for their fireplace, kitchen or bathroom countertops.

    Builders Surplus Inc
All I can say is, save your money and go elsewhere. The selection is great, I'll give them that. And the prices are reasonable, but by no means so cheap as to make it so that you couldn't do as well elsewhere.
But, the service? Awful. Employees are uninformed on basic information and can barely tell "left from right." Managers are insanely rude. The return policy is basically once you leave the store, you're stuck with it, so be sure of what you get. In short it's the kind of place you'd spend $1000 and feel like you hate yourself for it afterwards.
