  • We adopted a dog from a shelter and, while she had an exam there, I wanted to establish a relationship with a local vet and ensure she was healthy. I chose Canyon based on both Angie's List and Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. I was greeted warmly (even though I was 5 minutes late) and did not have to wait long to see the vet. The exam was quick and the doctor was very nice, taking the time to answer all of my questions. I had my infant son with me and the doctor was very kind to him, too. I am very happy to have found such a great vet!

  • Dr. Pogrel is incredible. He's warm and compassionate. He's smart and kind. He's good to the animals and good to the owners. I have never once called him and left a message that he has not returned the call. He's usually returns the call by that afternoon. He works nights one night, so he tells you to let you know that he might not be calling until 10:00 or 11:00 at night. He diagnosed my pet and is saving his life. I have absolutely no negative thing to say about him. I recommend people to go to him. He's the best.

  • I do like them. They are very good. They actually have a healthcare plan for the dog, where you pay an amount for the pet and it covers all the basic stuff they have to have like, they do two exams a year, they do all their shots, and all other general stuff that has to be done. They also do their nails and clean their teeth and so on. They are very conveniently located. I don’t have a car, so I use public transportation and buses stop very near there plus we have a subway train station and it is right next to the station, so it is very convenient to walk to. As far as for people that drive, they have parking there. I got a discounted price for the flea treatment visit because we had the pet plan. The cost of service is free mostly because I have the pet plan, I pay about $98 a month but if I were to go in and just pay for shots alone, we are talking about $700 and the other services, like to clean his teeth is $250 and they do that twice a year. They have all his records there and for some reason, if I move, I can transfer so the new vet would have all the records too and so the continuity in care would be really good for him, which is important because he is a service dog. I have had no complaints with them at all. They are fairly expensive.

  • I last used the services of Chabot Veterinary Clinic two weeks ago. My experience with them was great. They were very good. They took care of my dogs. I have Corgis. They are great dogs and they are smart.

  • They have taken very good care of my dog and they are more reasonable then the previous vet I had. They are more responsive when I make an appointment I don't sit and wait in a waiting room forever. When I go in I sit, 5 minutes later I'm called in and the dog is taken care of. They are very proactive, my dog was suffering from cushings disease and I didn't know. They suspected it. They keep an eye on the dog and know what the signs are if there is a problem. When I call and say I need to see a vet they fit me in that afternoon or the next morning.

  • He actually drove past our house last week and stopped to say hello because he saw us outside and because he is so wonderful. He saw the pets and wanted to say hello, which he does all the time. The service was fabulous and we couldn't say enough good things about him. He is very caring and he cares about the owner and what they feel is going on as well as the pets. He takes everything into consideration. If something isn't an emergency he won't force a procedure and he will try other options. His first and foremost concern is the pet's health and that the owner is comfortable with it. He is fabulous and wonderful. We would absolutely continue to use him.

  • I was happy with them. They had a kitten package that included all of the booster shots so I got that. The price could have been better but it was pretty comparable to other places that I called. They have great customer service, both on the phone and in person. They were very informative, helpful, and pleasant. The whole office was efficient and it was an overall good experience.

  • Thank you, thank you Doctor Friedman. For over 45 days my dog had a problem with her eye. Her third eyelid would stick out and her eye would become swollen on and off. I took her to my regular vet and then after a three week period with no real change I went to another vet. After two more weeks with no resolution, I felt that both vets did not really explore all the potential issues and did not really listen to me and maybe did not have the required expertise on eye issues. I got a referral to an animal eye ophthalmologist, Dr. Friedman at Animal Eye Care center. When I took my Lucy there for the consult I could immediately sense a difference. Dr. Friedman was very concerned, did a very thorough exam and gave me three avenues of treatment. I opted for the treatment she recommended which was immediate surgery. Sure enough she found an abscess above and behind her eye and cleaned it out. It has been about a week and Lucy is recovering nicely. The office has made arrangements to see her every day to clean and treat the site. I believe that Dr. Friedman's actions certainly saved Lucy's eye and maybe her life. Now to me the $1,600 this cost was a very expensive treatment. But I spent about $500 with no results at the other two vets and considering the seriousness and the extremely high level of care Lucy received I consider it money well spent. If you want the best care for your companion and have any kind of eye issue, don't waste time on a generalist see Dr. Friedman at Animal Eye Care.

  • Dr. Tai, at San Jose Spay & Neuter Clinic, is a really great veterinarian and the prices are very reasonable. He is very knowledgeable in his field and always helpful. I would recommend this veterinary clinic.

  • They are kind and courteous and great at diagnosis. With Lady's stagger-dog syndrome they talked to a university Vet School and researched for the correct illness and correct medications. The same for 16-year-old Jack when he developed complete heart block. They detected this when I just came in for teeth cleaning. My dogs lived longer and were more healthy because of their work. When the end came for my dogs they were sensitive and caring. I held their paws and talked to them. When I had money problems they gave me a break. When my friend's dog had kidney failure we brought her in for euthanasia because I trust them and they are sensitive. Great diagnosis, great treatment, and kind and caring people.
