    LAR Construction & Remodeling
LAR Construction & Remodeling worked at my house to do an addition. They achieved each and every milestone of the remodeling and they completed the addition within the agreed time frame AND the agreed budget. I liked all the services that they did at the house, including the management over all the additional vendors that worked in addition to the team. My addition project was managed on the best side that included daily and weekly reports and the communication from my project manager Eli. The in house working crew was very skilled and they all worked in a fast phase making sure that all my neighbors will have no complains of any kind. The work was done in very high quality (from my point of view and because each inspection was passed right away). I will hire them and recommend them to my friends and family.

This review is long overdue. We were looking to upgrade our kitchen and found CBS. We had a few quotes from different contractors and they were all over the place. More importantly, we did not feel comfortable with any of them. I saw CBS truck one day and decided to call them and ask for a quote. Konstantin scheduled a visit and few days later provided us a quote. He knew exactly what we were looking for and made the whole process easy. Once we signed the contract, we scheduled a time for the work to get started. I was very scared as i always hear of horror stories during kitchen remodel and surprise expenses. Anyway, the crew was amazing. They completed the demo in 1 day. We worked with Home Depot to design the kitchen. All the cabinets were delivered on time and the crew was able to start installing immediately. We also replaced our floors and Konstantin recommended a great floor guy. Here's some of the things that stand out: 1) The entire crew was amazing. 2) They cleaned up after themselves. 3) They did not cut corners and did everything to my standards. 4) The price was very fair. 5) Communication was excellant and very easy to get a hold to Konstantin. 6) The quality of the work was amazing. The kitchen turned out amazing. I'm OCD and was looking for things that i could provide CBS feedback for. Everything met my standard and above. We get compliments every time someone comes to our house. We will be using CBS for another project in the near future. I'm glad we went with CBS.

Absolutely fantastic. The father and his sons do the work. They cleaned up everyday and I had practically no dust. They had ideas I had not considered, which I wound up doing in my remodel. They're perfectionist and had no problem sending back a cabinet that had an imperfection. They remodeled my friend's kitchen and bathroom about ten years ago and the rooms look perfect to this day. When I can, I want them to come back and do my bathrooms. They are a local company, which is important to me.

We couldn't be happier with the work CBS did on our house. Konstantine was thorough in explaining the process and his crew were very courteous and respectful to our house. We got several quotes from other contractors, but the estimate from CBS was lower and they finished faster that any other estimate we received. We love our new bathroom, and our new patio cover is awesome! We highly recommend them!

    Eco Friendly Remodeling
The demolition did not demo to the studs, that was okay as Avi assured us that insulation could still be installed, but no insulation was installed because only 1 of the walls was demoed to the studs. They were very clean however. The cabinets were picked from a place in San Jose, which is fine as the quality of the cabinets are pretty good, and Bedrosian's for the beautiful yet crooked back splash and floor tile. We had to fight for a light over the sink, Avi had to step in and threaten the subcontractor with something to get the light installed. The tiling of the floor was perfect, straight as an arrow. However the tiling of the back splash went very bad. The subcontractor had a first time tiling guy do the back splash work. He used cardboard pieces and finishing nails (used for wood work) to space the tiles NOT TILE SPACERS!! So the tile work is crooked, I could have done a better job. Its passable but noticeable. Subcontractor also installed doors on the cabinets wrong which had to be reordered, which did not cost us any money, Avi also was excessively pushy on up-selling which was so obnoxious that by the end of the ordeal we decided to never have him back in our house. He also lectured my daughter on why she should get married without knowing anything about her life, things like her father just died about 2 weeks before the big speech. In January our less then a month old kitchen sink plumbing came apart, because the subcontractor did not glue the plumbing! So they had to come back to finish a job that should have been done weeks before.

Ok, Someone came and measured my bathroom and two weeks later sent me a email link to a 3D design with a message to call the person that left the business card if I had questions. Not sure what I expected but the rendering is pretty basic. I am Not excited enough to call back. Don't think I will move forward with this contractor.

    Strong Built Construction
Andrew came in and did a good job. His estimate was fair, and was better than most for the scope of work. He gutted out the 80's kitchen and redid everything: slight plumbing alterations, cabinet install, tile flooring install, electrical upgrade/wiring reconfigurations. He also did a popcorn ceiling removal for the kitchen/family room which turned out okay. It was a positive experience and I would hire him again. I waited a few months before posting to ensure that no problems came up after he left, and it looks as good now as it did when he finished. In addition, I've hired quite a few people in construction in the past, so I'm not experienced in it. I usually hire cheaper guys for my commercial businesses, but for my home, I wanted to hire someone to do everything right, and not damage my expensive construction materials. I was not disappointed. Below are a run down of some pros and cons. Pros: -gave a lot of recommendations and optional upgrades (for a fair price) -fair pricing -easy to work through for small changes to original scope of work -was available to inspect cabinets before work began to ensure any reorders or damaged cabinets could be replaced before work began (2 needed to be sent again, his help allowed the schedule to work out) -clean, clean, clean (did I say clean?). His guys left very little mess in the work site, and cleaned up at the end of the day. They walled off the room from the rest of the house and it kept the whole house clean during the work (this is huge for me because I have small children). Cons -He went down the very end of his proposed schedule (if you expect the work to be done early, probably not). In my experience this is common; when you hear 3-5 weeks, it usually means 5 weeks, but if the stars are in alignment, and all the random things that always come up fail to appear, then its possible. If you're the type of guy who wants his team to work 'til midnight everyday to finish the job on the short side of the time estimate, you should look somewhere else. They typically finished around 4 and spend about 30 minutes cleaning up the work site. -If you expect him to be there working beside his team everyday, that wasn't my experience. He'd pop his head in the check the work every day or every other day at least, but he wasn't there working too often (on my job, I don't know the other jobs he had going at the time). He did have his head guy ch**s there (names have been truncated to protect the innocent). He was a carpenter and was very skilled and knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions and give advice. He was there everyday and I had no complaints with him.

    Green Planet Construction
Toward the end of May of this year, I decided to remodel/renovate my 30-year-old kitchen. I leave vacation today and knew a contractor probably couldn't start until after I returned. I thought it wouldnt hurt to get bids and set up the start date. Sam from Green Planet Construction cam looked over the project. Prepared a bid within 1 day. The total was within the range on online consumer tools (Homewyse and Kukun). I decided to engage Green Planet for a start after I returned. Sam said I didn't have to wait and it could be done before I left. It essentially was. Today the new greenhouse window was installed (it had to be special ordered). All other work was completed by the end of June. That's 4 weeks from contract signing to a new kitchen. Sam was on top of everything! He immediately understood my design aesthetic and it took very little time to choose the materials. I can't say enough about Oscar and his crew. I was amazed at the fast pace and quality of their work. This remodel included raising the ceiling, recessed lights, new cabinets, plumbing electrical. new floor covering, baseboards, crown molding, new greenhouse window and quartz counter top. All this is 4 weeks! I am totally happy and impressed with Green Plant Construction and plan to use them again.
