Gutter Repair reviews in San Leandro

They were significantly more expensive than other similarly rated gutter/roofing companies by about $700. Due to my own procrastination, this was the only company available as the rainy season approached. The installer made a couple of mistakes: 1. He installed a downspout directly on top of a hand rail 2. Installed a downspout behind wires for my internet, thereby making the wires hang loose in front of the house. It both looked unsightly and was nearly a hazard for snagging. 3. Installed gutters on part of the house I expressly asked not to have gutter installed on. The staff was responsive when I called to have the work fixed. 1. I received a refund for the gutters installed but expressly not asked to have installed. 2. The installer moved the downspout off of the handrail. Later, when the installer --or technician, as they refer to him -- was given instructions to move the cable behind the downspout, he instead cut the wire. In broken English, he was later able to read the instructions he had "to move the cable behind the downspout (photos included)" back to me, though I cannot be sure he understood what they meant. Basically, the contact people are responsive. The installers are not communicated with well enough by those in the office, or the "technicians" are not able to follow instructions or exercise common sense for whatever reason.

Reasonable price. Completed job as scheduled and within budget. Quality material and workmanship. New wood was coated with primer. The only glitch is the gutter. 2 of the end caps were unsealed. ( I used metal caulking to seal the seams). A week late, I find a section of gutters that trapped one inch rain water. It was corrected without charge after a few calls.

I'm utterly stunned by the unprofessionalism of Adrian Gomez. Not only was he late for appointment, he lied and forgot his own words, he failed to read emails I sent him, he pushed responsibilities to me only later to find it was his own fault, and he didn't communicate after he said he would. Stay away from Adrian Gomez. Save yourself time and frustration.

I got my new house roof inspected by a company recommended by my realtor, but I saw some bad reviews online about the company, so I looked for another roofing company to do the job. I found Adrian's company online and called his office to schedule an appointment for him to come take a look 2 weeks later. His coordinator asked me to send him the inspection report to get an estimate. A week later I didn't hear from Adrian, so I emailed him again and he replied back that he'll be at my house at 9AM on Saturday.
On Saturday, he came 40 minutes late, when I said I was expecting him at 9AM, he said his coordinator told me in the phone it's 9-10AM, which was a lie, and was not what he wrote in his email. When I asked him for his initial assessment based on the report, he asked "what report" and asserted I never sent him. As I was searching through my sent email, he was able to find it from his cell phone and said he needed sometime to read through. He went back to his car to read and after a few minutes he came back to me and said he needed more time to read through the report but he didn't have time and had to leave because he needed to go to the next appointment. I was surprised because the report only has 5 pages and isn't complicated. He said he would give me a quote later but five days later, I haven't received any communication from him or his coordinator.

During this whole process he didn't say one sorry or he apologize. I'm really surprised he can stay in business because i will never do business with someone like him, not any business.

Signed Marco Roofing contract to furnish and install seamless aluminum gutters and downspouts for home residence. I am in middle of James Hardie siding project. Marco Roofing provided estimate and quote in timely fashion. 26 days have passed since contract signed and I have heard nothing about status of project, despite repeated emails and calls to both office and estimators cell phone. Office said they would contact estimator and find out status and get back to me, this was two weeks ago. Still, no response. Now it is raining and I am missing gutters. I do not know if I am still getting my gutters or not?

Update 11-13-12. Never heard from them again.

I had a roof installed. I wanted to make sure that it was installed correctly.  He was very thorough. He quoted me very reasonable prices. He gave me a very thorough report of my roof. He was courteous. He cared about doing his job well. I was very pleased.

    Precision Roofing Co
I got more than my money's worth. Precision Roofing Company exceeded my expectations in every way. There was thorough and impeccable workmanship. The crew was professional, highly skilled, and friendly. They took the time to answer my questions, even twice during their lunch. They arrived promptly at 8 a.m. (or sooner) and left at 3 p.m. every single day until done. Cleanup was complete every day. There was no damage to my home nor to my landscape and plants.

It was a big leap of faith for me to replace the entire roof on my biggest possession and investment, the home I will live in for a very long time. I am the original owner of a home built new in 1980 by a well-known developer, and I felt that the builder made mistakes, including the roof, I found out over the years. A handyman had told me that there was nothing underneath the concrete tile plywood, no felt paper..just attic air and a few slats of wood. I went up, and I could see the bottoms of the tiles and sky at an angle  through the tiles. I found out that, in 1980, such a roof was legal, and I could do nothing. To add insult to injury, the developer's salesman in 1980 boasted that we had a "lifetime roof."  Really? Rain could pour right into my walls, and had done so, right over my electric switch in my garage. My next door neighbor had a major leak into their house over their front door during a fierce storm. Scary. I had  to pay $500 for one maintenance check job from another roofer five years ago; my neighbor paid $1,000 for one maintenance. When my gutters dripped rusty water onto my head one day last month, I decided replacing gutters was not enough. It was time to"bite the bullet " and replace the whole mess. Now I had to find a company I could trust . And I did.

I found Precision Roofing in the coupon section of Angie's List Magazine. Hmm, Licensed, of course. Super Service Award 2007, '08, '09, and"10.  An "A" rating, over 250 reviews. BBB rating A+. Insured for both Workman's Compensation and liability, which protected me. In business for 36 years, employs 18, even during this economy. Written, transferrable warranty for both shingles, and for workmanship. Looked good, so I called.

Michael Green, the owner, spotted my roof's problem areas immediately. "That's not right, over the garage door," he said. True, that must have been the cause of my garage leak. We walked down the street, looking a roofs and installations. I wanted  light colored roof, and he said that reds and blues do not last in roofs, and fade out. I chose a roof that looks brownish but that also reflects the sun, and the shingles are thickest at the ends, giving a beautiful textural appearance.
The next day he e-mailed the estimate. It was very detailed, putting in writing exactly how the work was to be done and which materials, for each phase. He even listed his insurance company's name and policy number for the liability insurance.

Some of my neighbors down the street originally had thin wood shingles, so they had simpler re-roof jobs. But I didn't see any carpentry work or any corrections done. I thought "What problems  were those guys just covering up, bragging about taking just two days?"  It is the same subdivision. I chose to correct all the problems Mr. Green pointed out. My house is beautiful, and the air conditioner ran only 1/3 the time during the last heat wave, because the radiant barrier plywood and power vent did their job. During stormy weather, I can sleep at night. And, I have complete information about how my roof was made, in writing. That's much more information than that well-known developer gave us for our entire new house! I'm glad I hired Precision Roofing Company.

    Precision Roofing Co
Precision Roofing of Oakland exceeded our expectations?by light years! I interviewed eight vendors (five before joining Angie's List) about fixing a large dry-rot hole under the eves of my mother's roof, replacing our rain gutters and do some other repairs in preparation of painting her home. None of them generated the professionalism, the price and/or the minimum level of trust I required...until I contacted Precision Roofing in Oakland. Mr. Mike Green spent a good hour explaining not only what needed to be done but WHY the problems formed in the first place. He gave us a number of options and the costs/benefits of each. He answered every question I had and many I did not know to ask. This demonstrated two things to me: 1) Mike knows roofing inside and out (He started Precision Roofing 30+ years ago), and he was as concerned about our roof as he would be fixing his own. Mr. Green's integrity shined through when he told me I didn't need rain gutters on the 35-foot square workshop in our back yard. All the other vendors were only too happy to give me a price without mentioning that the work was not necessary. Right there, Mr. Green saved us nearly $1000! Precision's happy band of roofers showed up on time, turned on a radio and got right to work with impressive efficiency and enthusiasm that made the work site feel like a fiesta. (Most of the crew has been with Precision for well over 20 years which is why they are so fast and professional. (And says a great deal about well Mr. Green treats his employees.) In the process of tearing down the dry rot and old gutters, a good-sized pile of debris formed. I grumbled to myself that I was going to have to pay someone to haul it off but before they left on the morning of the third day, the crew tossed the debris into their truck and left my yard cleaner than it had been in originally. In short, we simply could not be more pleased with the work Precision Roofing performed?and how they did it. Come spring, my girl friend and I will contact Precision for some work on our home. Yes, Precision Roofing is THAT good!

    Rigdeline Roofing
Fantastic. I thought this would be a pain, as the house is weekend use only, and it was raining on and off the whole time. Also, I wasn't there to "supervise" as I would have liked, but Greg and his crew were great. They had to be very patient and timely given the rainy weather, the additional drive time to the coast, and a demanding customer (me). They did everything I requested, and made several recommendations that I had not thought of. Greg was accommodating and a pleasure to work with. His crew even made a trip out to do some additional caulking and site inspections during a severe winter storm to make sure everything was OK. They also did carpentry and copper gutter soldering, so they are a full service company. I was particularly shocked that in spite of the stormy weather, and size of the project, that I had to search to find any debris around the house like nails or shingles. And NO I am not a relative or acquaintance of theirs, my real estate agent recommended them.

They did a wonderful job. The contract was clear and concise and work began as scheduled. Their crews were great and left things as clean as possible at the end of every day and when the job was finished. The sales people and office staff are knowledgeable and were willing and able to answer all our questions, even the ones they might have considered silly.
