    LAR Construction & Remodeling
LAR Construction & Remodeling worked at my house to do an addition. They achieved each and every milestone of the remodeling and they completed the addition within the agreed time frame AND the agreed budget. I liked all the services that they did at the house, including the management over all the additional vendors that worked in addition to the team. My addition project was managed on the best side that included daily and weekly reports and the communication from my project manager Eli. The in house working crew was very skilled and they all worked in a fast phase making sure that all my neighbors will have no complains of any kind. The work was done in very high quality (from my point of view and because each inspection was passed right away). I will hire them and recommend them to my friends and family.

    Evolve Construction
Everyone we worked with was professional and an expert at their part of the job. They were here when expected, kept the job and construction dust as contained to the area as possible, and finished right on time. We LOVE our new amazing bathroom! and every aspect of the job! THANK YOU Evolve Construction! :)

    J & R Smith Construction
Mr. Smith responded to my call promptly. He set a date to come look at the damage to my walls in order to compose an estimate. This was all done within a week of my initial contact. I was unable to contract Mr. Smith for the repairs as a family member made the repairs prior to receiving the estimate. I found Mr. Smith to be professional, prompt, and would use him in the future if I had a need for a contractor.

    MoonDance Painting
This company was great. We purchased a coupon for 4 hours of painting from Angie's List and were contacted the next business day by their office manager Heather.
We've lived with lots of wallpaper in our house, which was put up by the original owner. After many years we finally had our fill and wanted to get rid of it.  David Peake came out and spent close to 2 hours looking the job over, making recommendations and giving us a quote.  We originally wanted them to remove the wallpaper and paint our master bath area but because we are going to do some remodeling still, we decided to delay that. We called David over the weekend before the start of work, and had no problem changing directions and getting a new quote.
One of the things we could not tell from pulling off wallpaper on a few corners, was whether the wallpaper had been put on 'finished' walls or the dry wall. If it was the latter, then it was going to be additional work and cost to texture the walls prior to painting. Of course we found the latter was the case. But the cost to prep the walls wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.  However, it was an awful, time consuming, hot/humid job to remove all the wallpaper.  Kudos to our painters, Ulysses and Ricky, for that! These two guys were awesome! Once all the paper was removed, they pulled in their texture expert Nazario, who did a brilliant job prep-ing the walls in a day, while the other guys painted the ceiling and prepared to paint the walls.
Once the dirty work was done and they could get down to painting the walls, things went relatively quickly. My husband and I are extremely happy with the result. The MoonDance team kept us in the loop and communicated daily with what they expected to do, if there were any issues, what they planned to do the following day.  On the last day they meticulously went over every area to make sure edges were clean, all areas were painted that should have been and touched up whatever was needed. Last but not least they cleaned up everything.
We have our master bedroom and bathroom to complete but will do that in a few months also using MoonDance Painting. As an environmentally conscious company they use low VOC paint which was virtually odorless, thank goodness. The end result is truly excellent work. We highly recommend them.

    NG Construction
Nick and those he hired did a great job. He was actually referred to me by my house painter, and they both worked together on schedules, figuring out when each of them could come in and work, without getting in each others way. Nick always checked in with me at the end of each day (usually by email, as was my preference) to let me know what progress was made that day. He and his crew cleaned up after themselves and did exactly what they said they would do.

    Philips Remodeling
Philips Remodeling was one of four contractors I interviewed to work on my home.  My wife and I picked Ben because we felt that he was the most friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable contractor we met.  We showed all the contractors a huge crack in the living room of our newly purchased home and Ben was the only contractor that took the time to go up into the attic to find out what the last owner did wrong.  Ben was also one of two contractors that took the time to take all the measurements he needed for the quote.  He showed us sincerity and a genuine desire to earn our business.  He submitted a bid to us within two days with a proposal that described in detail the work proposed, price (listed in line items), work schedule, and payment schedule.
The work was scheduled to be completed in 30 days and it went over by one day.  I told Ben that my wife and I will be living through the construction and we were pleasantly surprised at how smooth the process was.  Every day Ben and his partner Chris would completely seal off the construction side of the house and did everything in their power to keep the noise level at a minimum.  They had to take out two walls, shore up the supports of the 1945 kitchen floor,  and rip out a ton drywall.  Despite the mess from the demo, Chris and Ben cleaned up on a daily basis which included vacuuming, throwing out the trash, and organizing all their tools.  My father was a general contractor and I worked for him throughout my summers in high school and college.  I must say that I have never soon a job site as clean as the one Ben kept in my home.
My biggest compliment for Ben was his communication.  I received daily updates of the construction.  No change order was ever made without consulting either me or my wife.  In return, my wife and I also communicated to him if we made any changes of our own.  There were a few days when my wife worked from home and Ben did everything he can to make sure his construction process did not disturb her.
It is refreshing to work with a contractor that is so professional and talented in his craft.  Even though my wife and I made all the decisions on the design of the reno, Ben would give his professional opinion on how to make certain designs better and more efficient.  It is also evident in their professionalism when they had to go underneath the crawl space to put in supports to level the kitchen floor.  Chris, Ben's partner, is at least 6' 2".  He would go down into he crawl space in what must have been a monumental challenge maneuvering himself.  For some reason there are a lot of coal underneath my home.  Chris and Ben would come out of the crawlspace looking like coal miners and they would stand there laughing with me about how dirty they look.  I admire their ability to laugh at themselves even though it must have been a very challenging process to level my kitchen floor.
Ben also took the helm in making sure all the inspections were scheduled on time throughout the construction.  He would always give me an update on the inspector's comments and let me know if any changes needed to be made.  My wife and I could not be happier with the results of our reno.  Ben took us on a complete and detail walkthrough of the house to make sure nothing was missed.  From the beginning I told Ben that he can contact me anytime if he needed my input.  I understand that any client/contractor relationship is a two-way street.  We could not be happier about making the decision to hire Philips Remodeling.  Ben never stack jobs, so he will completely focused on your job from start to finish.  Anyone who has seen the photos of our completed reno would comment that it looks like a photo from a magazine.  Feel free to check the photos yourself on Ben's website at http://www.philipsremodeling.com/gallery.html.  We are currently the first 7 photos.  I have recommended Ben to several friends and I will definitely call him again when I save enough for my bathroom reno.

    SUMMIT DRYWALL & PAINTING
I was going to do most the work my self on this Bathroom remodel. Well the electrical, drywall, setting the tub and sub flooring but I was going to sub out the Plumbing and Taping and Texture of the walls. Well of course I got hurt before I could get the drywall up. Started getting bids and reading Angieslist reviews and made an informed decision and I am very happy with the resolute.

    Ron Hogan Drywall
After purchasing an Angie's List Big Deal for $100 towards one hour of drywall work, I contacted the provider referred.  I described the minor work I needed done and the date I wanted him to do it and the provider gave me an estimate.  When I expressed my surprise over the high price he quoted, he asked me "how much do you wanna pay".  First red flag!  When I asked if the estimate factored in the $100 already paid to Angie's List, I was told "you would need to talk to someone at Angie's list about the $100.00 and that money doesn't go to me".  He claims he didn't know anything about Angie's List and how they got his information.  Second and final red flag!

    Tri Unity Construction
My garage has an open area for trucks or cars and then at the back I have 2 rooms, one on either side.  I asked him to clean it all up for me.  He put a new door for each room.  We concentrated on one room.  We are getting ready to do the other one now.  He put in new windows, drywall, and new floor.  They were rooms that were used for laundry.  He took out the old cement and wash tubs and the room is absolutely incredible.  It's beautiful.  Now I am going to have him do the other one.  He also put in new light fixtures on the ceiling.  I don't know what it was he did to the floor but it is beautiful like one those where you put something down and then have the sprinkles on it.  He put a door so that it would not be open to tenants.

    Finest Drywall
It went well. He was a half hour late than he said he would be on a couple of occasions. Other than that he did a pretty good job. His workmanship was good. He did a good job on the seams and in taping the mudding. He was a local person and was very competitively priced. The people who are out of town are priced slightly higher.
