I have been going here since 1978 until present. This is a great group of doctors and I would highly recommend this group. I have seen 3 of the doctors presently treating at this practice. Two of the founding doctors I use to see have retired. I always see the nurse practioner Nancy Fiduk and she is the main reason I drive an hour to go to this office. By far, the most caring and concerned practioner I have ever used! She is just the best and always available for questions, concerns or changes in treatment if needed. My mother also used this practice and they delivered me, so it has always been a family affair since 1960!

The entire experience was just wonderful compared to what I experienced at Orange Coast Women's Medical Group. The office was nicer, the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful (although they were always really nice at OCWM too). Dr. Cvar was ready to see me right on time and took her time with me to answer all of my questions even though I was probably one of her last appointments on a Friday afternoon. I didn't feel rushed at all like I used to at OCWM. I found her to be very nice and extremely down to earth. She took the time to read my 72 pages of obstetric history before she saw me and explained things to me in a way that I could understand. My previous doctor was trying to convince me to consider having a natural birth, even though I had a very traumatic labor and birth with my older son, ending up with an emergency c-section after an 18 hour labor. I would recommend Dr. Cvar to my closest friends.

The staff quickly got me admitted and upstairs to a room. Everyone was extremely friendly, informative, and organized. For the most part the nurses and staff were extremely supportive and helpful, doing everything possible to support my wishes with my birth plan and helping me through the early labor process. I only had an issue with one nurse, who doubted one of my needs, but this issue was quite small.Pros:-Very supportive staff who helped coach me through contractions through the night, encouraged me to walk, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, and offered to bring me an exercise ball to bounce on all to help labor progress as quickly as possible.-Open to natural birth, they didn't press the issue for epidurals, or other interventions.-Baby stays in the room with you. I was so happy that they do an hour of skin to skin for mom and baby before doing all their measurements and whatnot. They stay there and monitor you and baby to make sure you are both healthy and safe, but otherwise let you start bonding.-All of the staff is very supportive and helpful with breastfeeding. They also have a lactation consultant there to assist you at request.-They have volunteers at the hospital who assist you at discharge with all of your items to your vehicle. You wouldn't think that you would have much to carry out, but you will. Between the giant file already filled with papers and documents regarding you and your baby, the mountains of literature, pamphlets, and other get-started items the hospital provides you with, your personal belongings you came in with, and all the stuff well-wishers bring you... that high schooler pushing the cart for you and your husband is a god-send. Cons:Really not much to say here that isn't circumstantial.-On the issue I had with the nurse, I apologize for TMI but... when an individual tells you they are positive that they 'have to go' there is a good chance that its not just pressure from the baby's head pushing down. Please give a lady the benefit of the doubt.-I had requested to see the lactation consultant, but she never made it to my room. If I remember correctly, I think my nurse at the time I made the request had told me our little girl was one of 15 kids born that day or something. I guess I can understand how things like this can happen when you have that many mommies and newborns all needing help, but it was still a bit frustrating for me.-This was not an issue for me, but if you are a mom who does NOT plan to breastfeed it could be for you. This hospital is HUGE on supporting breastfeeding. I could see one getting a little resistance if they wanted to go with formula feeding.

I saw Dr Patricia Wallace for a pain consultation.  She was very thorough and supportive in her diagnosis and treatment advice.  She is confident and direct as well as thoughtful and caring.  I would highly recommend her.  Her office staff is also very friendly and helpful.

OK. I found the doctor to be cold and reluctant to share more than basic information...reluctant to address my questions. She recommended hormone therapy without discussing the pros and cons nor the alternatives (bio identical).

I like that he takes quality time to listen and talk with you. He is also good about referring other doctors to you if need be. The staff is wonderful. There is usually not a long waiting time.

My children were delivered in very good health, paps were done every 6 reason for this except that she gets paid for it! She is very moody and can have a cranky bedside manner.
