We had been considering a home renovation to include a living area floor plan and kitchen remodel for about 10 years. We were unsure of the exact design and extremely concerned about finding a competent contractor. Wed heard so many negative stories from friends and neighbors regarding bad experiences with contractors that we kept putting off the decision to get the project started. Finally talked to a Real Estate friend who had worked with a contractor, Robert Sappo, on several projects including one on his own home with positive results. So, we pulled the trigger and scheduled a meet and greet with Robert. We asked a lot questions and picked his brain pretty thoroughly and Robert asked a lot questions to determine what we were looking for and how realistic we were budgetarily. One of the most critical points he made was that he only works on one project at a time and that was huge for me. As I mentioned earlier we knew we wanted to open up our old 1975 floorplan and do a living, dining, kitchen renovation but not sure exactly what was going to work best for us. During that first meeting Robert was able assess what we were looking for and suggested a floorplan redesign which included wall removals, window and sliding door repositioning and a kitchen expansion. These were ideas that we hadnt thought of until he pointed them out. We were impressed with his creativity and decided to hire Robert and go forward with the project. The rest is history, Robert guided us through every step of the process. He assisted us in the selection of all the product and materials we would need to complete the project. He even escorted us to all of the providers of cabinets, appliances, flooring, granite and backsplash tile. As the project began Roberts knowledge and experience became immediately apparent. The sequencing and scheduling of events was very orderly. He was very aware of the disruption a project like this can create and was extremely considerate and went out of his way to keep us as functional as possible at the end of every day. He even provided a portable kitchen sink with counter and dishwasher which he hooked up at the end of each day. He was always punctual, showed up when he said he would and there was a very minimal amount of down time throughout the project. As a project like this progresses there are always changes and add-ons as you move along and he always readily and easily accommodated them with no objection. Robert performs virtually all of the work himself, he is a man of many skills. The quality of his work is exceptional. He is a real craftsman, he's extremely conscientious and demands of himself the best quality possible. A project of this magnitude could have been frustrating and disappointing had we chosen a different contractor. Working with Robert was none of that, it has been a pleasure. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of this renovation. It was completed to our complete satisfaction in terms of schedule and quality. We gladly recommend that you consider Robert Sappo Construction for your project. Frank & Cheryl DeAugustine

We had a somewhat mixed experience. On the up side, we loved the finished quality of the work. Ed's subcontractors demonstrated professionalism through quality workmanship and good communication. On the flip side, the process was a struggle for us, taking far longer than expected. We had many questions throughout the process and we were quite frankly confused much of the time - not knowing who was responsible for procuring what and when. In fairness, we were new to the process of remodeling and we didn't know what we didn't know, but when all is said and done, we love the results.

We used Robert for a bathroom remodel. We couldnt be more pleased with the work performed. Robert and his crew were very professional and friendly. I especially loved the communication with Robert. He routinely verified what time the next days work would commence and would follow it up by showing up promptly at the specified time. We will definitely use Robert for our future jobs.

In 2014 we decided to remodel our kitchen, bathroom and change our floors. My husband looked at several websites and read many reviews. In the end we decided to interview three contractors from Angies List. Robert Sappo was the third who came to our house. He was different from all others, while listening to our ideas he was looking around and when we finished he put forward some of his ideas. At first we thought them impractical or even impossible to carry out. Rob said with a smile that nothing is impossible and with his understating and convincing manner he changed our minds and within minutes we knew he was the one. In February 2015 we started the remodeling and for our convenience we decided to move out of our house. We had no idea on how complicated an important a remodeling job can be. Bob was our savior. He was guiding us, helping us with suggestions and spent several afternoons taking us to see marble and tiles suppliers and giving us advice. He was very patient and helpful and has a wonderful sense of humor. Robert is a perfectionist, he works to the highest standards, his billing is clear and punctual and with him there are no surprises. The remodeling took nearly eight months but in the end he gave us a home that is our dream home. Robert wasnt just our contractor but also our advisor, designer and architect and we would not want anyone else to carry out any future projects.

After making a $1000 deposit on $3000 total, nothing happened for a full month! I called them and was told a few different things from the Office Manager (e.g. the shower was in, but some how not right, and then a few other contradictory things). I told them to call me within a few days and arrange the work, or refund my money and cancel the agreement.
A few days later they sent out a project manager (Ernesto), who was very attentive on the phone, and I had to explain to him about the leak being a priority to fix and the entire issue background, as it was not communicated to him. They assessed the leak and still didn't do the work to fix it, which we agreed would be to replace the shower valve/cartridge.  did nothing except remove the shower back plate, then stopped. Days went by, and I told them I wanted my money back for non-performance.
So, I ended up speaking with one of the company owners (Dan). Very nice guy on the phone, and seemed to want to get it right. He came out to my house and spoke with me and my wife for about two hours. We basically re-agreed to the same work we originally agreed to, but re-phrased it into a Change Order that he promised he would send the next day. He even emailed that he would send it. It didn't come the next day, and I told them I want my money back, and that I wanted confirmation that the check was sent.
They did send the refund, and I am pleased to be free and clear of them now.
Really, avoid this company. I was extremely clear with what I needed, and they dropped the ball continually through the process.

The mirror was cut to my specifications indicated and available for pick up on-time. Looks beautiful in our new master bathroom. We are starting on the hallway bathroom next and will definitely use them again. Thank you!

They were fabulous. They were prompt and professional. The installation was great and we had no problems. They were very good about explaining what the issues were with my existing door and how I could fix it.

The entire process of ordering, factory manufacture time, arrival and installation was explained in detail. (Even before I committed to order) We scheduled the installation, as that time arrived, I was given follow-up details and on installation date, the crew arrived as scheduled. The two crew members arrived with my new windows/doors. Witnessing their work as a team, I realized how important that added to the quality of the installation. One window sustained a crack (during shipping) on the exterior pane and the factory was notified promptly regarding replacement of the glass. The installation took two days (of hard work).
Thrilled with my relationship with Keifer-Riley windows (aka)- Eisenbart and Sons and would recommend to anyone considering window/door new or replacement. They have been in business (to my personal knowledge) since the 70's. They are neighbors and also a well established business in Mission Viejo, Ca (So Cal). I realize I needed a lot of hand-holding (senior)
I could not be more happy with the Milgard windows and sliding doors and model/style. The trim recommended saved me a $200+ dollars. I selected the upper range e-quality on the side of my home getting the afternoon sun as recommended. What a difference in how much cooler the rooms are. Also, the new windows do an excellent job blocking sound. A nice surprise.
After looking at various choices, I selected Milgard windows. I received quotes from four different contractors. Keifer-Riley/Eisenbart was the lowest. Also, the most helpful and informative from the beginning. The others, within a few hundred dollars and the highest bidder offered to meet the lowest bidder's price. I choose this company, based on reputation and interaction (customer service) I also was motivated that their business is local. I like the idea that the tax goes to support my city.
The Milgard factory contacted me directly and arranged for and did the re-install on the cracked window. Well done.
Would recommend and anticipate further work with this company.

They came on time for the estimate on Sept. 6 - and would have replaced the glass earlier, but my schedule didn't work out until Sept. 20. Price was a little higher based on phone conversations I had with other companies, but not enough to make that much difference. I choose them because I had used them years ago. I was very happy with the results.

Everything went smoothly. The staff was personable and professional. The installers were on time -- they were also personable and professional. I felt very comfortable having them in my home. They were thorough and detail oriented -- everything was left clean and tidy. I'm very happy with my newly installed glass in the patio sliding doors!
