    Good Life Home Care
This company actually had RNs come several times a week. They have an outstanding staff. Every employee they sent to our house was great. They accept Medicare, and Tri-Care For Life. Three big hospitals in the area recommended this company.

We like the one on one care. They really worked to find a CNA that was a good fit with Bill. We are very pleased.

    San Benito Home Health Care
It was pretty much a joke.  I wouldn't recommend them and I wasn't very impressed.  They didn't do what they were supposed to do, but the nurses were great.  They just gave me a piece of paper with the exercises on it and was supposed to do them, and they just came in and checked me, but didn't work with me.  I wouldn't use them again.

    Reach Out Home Health Care
One aide was fantastic. She did everything. She knew how to cook fantastic and was awesome. Just a phenomenal lady. She was replaced for health reasons by someone who did not know how to cook, use a microwave or stove, or even make a bed. This person was the only one here with my mother. She ended up stealing an entire bottle of my mothers medication. The owner came and stood up for the employee. The owner then got nasty with my mother and literally yelled at her for accusing an employee without actually witnessing something. I had to insist that the owner leave the property, after which I terminated the service.

    Peggy's Home Care
ally was not licensed bonded nor did she carry Workman's Comp. on her employees. The lack of ins. could have presented a huge liability for us if any of her caregiver's had been injured on the job. She tried to say they were independent contractor's however she paid them so they legally were employees. She was hired by  the court appointed  trustee-conservator of my husband' s trust. When she took the job I was told that she was charging the trust $15. hours during the day and $9.00 at night. They also occupied one of our rental units where we paid the utilities. That  hourly fee was increased to $30.00 during the day and more than the $9. originally quoted for night care shortly after she accepted the job. In the beginning my husband let the caregivers do things for him but as he got better he did not let them into the house. So they earned $30. an hour (around the clock) for two services a day: putting my husband's meds on the doorstep twice a day. Peggy stood up in court an told the judge I had made some medical a[ppointments for my husband , an action that was prohibited by the trustee.(we had been married for 23 years and my husband's trust had left me as the conservator trustee, however that was changed by the court after a dispute with my husband's brother). Peggy's unfounded accusations resulted in the judge threatening to hold me in comtempt of court. I had to pay my attorney to get depositions from several doctors and a pharmacist, stating that my husband had made the appointments: I had not. She knew this but misrepresented the situation in court. That cost me about $2000. for my attorney's time in obtaining statements from the doctors and pharmacist. There were other incidents that occurred. One of the caregivers, who had driven my husband around  in the beginning, was arrested during the time she was working for Peggy. The caregiver told my husband that she had been arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license. What kind of screening was done on the employees  if she hired someone whose license was suspended. I had to obtain written permission from Peggy forty eight hours in advance to see my husband. Sometimes she was pleasant and sometimes she was rude. I was limited to seeing him to 12 hours a week. nYou can only imagine how devastating this was to my husband and I. My husband who had dementia, sometimes said very rude things to Peggy. However she would sometimes yell back at him calling him a b****** or a son of a b****. That was totally unprofessional. I have a BA degree and have worked as A Social Worker, teacher and a ranch wife. I have never been exposed to someone like this in a position of authority. It is a shame that someone who has no education in this field, was given the power over people's  lives.
