  • I didn't even hire this company and they were so bad I felt compelled to leave a review. I sold a small, upright piano. The person who bought it was responsible for moving it. She arranged for the movers to come between 11am - 12pm on a Friday. I arranged to work from home to accommodate the movers. By about 9pm I told her she had to cancel because they still hadn't come. This is OVER 9 HOURS after they said they would arrive. This despite updated ETAs of 2pm, then by 5pm, then by 8pm. Of course, she received these new ETAs only when she reached out to them. She then rescheduled for 4pm the following day - Saturday. So again, I arranged my schedule to be home to allow them to pick it up. At 5pm she checked in and they had a new ETA of 7:30 - 8pm. At 9pm, their ETA was 10:10pm - 6 HOUR AFTER they were supposed to arrive. At 9:45pm I was texted directly by Rick who asked if 10:10pm was okay. I told him it was, but they had to be there by 10:30pm or it would be too late as I had to get up early the next morning. I also told him that I had never seen movers who operated like this. His response was that he had been working since 7am that morning and "We work until the jobs are completed." That is not a response. All moving companies "work until the jobs are completed." I have used moving companies on multiple occasions and NEVER had an experience that comes anything close to the complete disregard that this company has for its customers. Don't book the job if you can't get it done! I told him that I had not idea how he ran his business and he should care about how he spoke with me. He then told me I was on a "power trip" and he was cancelling the job. He is late by more than 9 hours one day and 6 hours the next and he thinks I'm on a power trip because I have the temerity to complain? Wow. I would recommend never, ever hiring this company.

  • The written disclosure they email is very thorough and specific as to charges. Just be certain you read the disclosure before committing to the move and setting up with friends, etc.. The California double time charges need to be carefully considered when pricing out the move.

  • My move was nothing but perfect! Over the phone, they asked us several important questions about the move and amount of items we've had, are any really heavy, etc. Afterwards they sent a confirmation letter via email. Next day the job got started: the movers Alex, Den and Mike arrived on time, were fresh, energetic and ready to work. They brought along everything needed for performing the move. Two of the guys immediately started packing part of the process, meanwhile the third guy was taking out and loading safely wrapped items right into the truck. He was truly like a tetris ninja, who could manipulate the objects differently shaped very fast and accurate. Once they finished the packing and loading part they made sure that nothing is missing, everyting is safe and ready go. An hour later our stuff arrived ( just terrible traffic as always) back to a new house. The stuff inside the truck's trunk was exactly as it was before the dispatch. They unloaded it super fast, like two times faster than an actual loading took. There were no additional or hidden fees and would recommend Royal Moving for their service great and reliable service.

  • This is definitely the best moving experience I've had for a while from a moving company. I had the total pleasure of hiring elite moving and storage to move my 3 bedrooms house early of last month. As soon as the movers showed up to the house early the day of the actual move, they start to work with no questions or complaining after they confirmed which items and boxes goes where. During this whole move, I did not have to lift a finger to do anything. The movers did all the work and I was there just to guide them about important things and boxes. They were pretty fast and efficient and mainly their knowledge about what they do, was very big. They are professional movers as they were able to quickly move everything out of house and into the moving truck that they brought for the move and mainly without a single scratch on anything. In the new house which was bigger than my old place, the movers had to carry a lot of the furniture and boxes to the second floor and even that they did without any complaint. One of the main challenges was the refrigerator. They had to remove the doors in order to take it out of the old house and to insert it thru the doors of the new house and the same thing was even for my bedroom set. What I appreciated most was that they left the house ONLY after they made sure that everything was where I want them and how I wanted them. I hope that I will not need to move again but in case I will need to, I will hire this company again for sure and without any hesitations. There were no hidden tricks, hidden charges or shiftiness - Just honesty, good work ethic and very motivated movers.

  • I don't know where to start with these guys they are so great! They showed up way early and immediately got started. They are super hardworking, kind, easy to talk to and really know the true definition of "Customer Service". I've stored some of my stuff using Royal moving and I got the best offer. Thank you!

  • When the movers arrived the truck wouldn't start and there was inappropriate writing on the truck no professional looking at all. The moved everything but forgot a couple pieces of furniture even though we had told them we wanted those items moved also. When my sister and I got to our new house it took the drivers 2 hrs (normally take 45 minutes) to find us they did take lunch but then got lost which they didn't charge us for that which was nice.
    One of the movers let us know that my movie box had opened as they were setting it down but said none had fallen out. When I opened the box it looked as if it had fallen out they were all messed up and not in the nice sections I had put them in when I packed the box. I had photos of all my movies 2 were missing and 3 wii games were missing. We've completely unpacked and can't locate them. When I asked the company their responds was we asked our drivers and they said nothing was left in the truck. My sister also overheard the head mover say one client was still looking for their china.
    I was though impressed the got all of our big bed frames, mattresses, dressers up 4 flights of stairs without really damaging any walls, etc. They stopped the time before they were done but did complete the job even when the time was stopped. If it weren't for the missing movies and wii games I would use them again but because of that we won't be recommending this company unless you don't mind if something goes missing.

  • Really...I loath moving even more than most people.  My wife and I had been living in the same apartment for 8 years and finally bought a house.  Moving our stuff cause more anxiety for us than the 5 month, tear-down renovation of our new home.

    A neighbor recommended Pure Movers to me and so I decided to go with them.  What a wonderful group of guys.  Sasha, Max, Camden and Crew Chief Mike were absolutely phenomenal in every sense of the word.  They were very patient with us in our moments of indecision regarding where to pack, where to put, what to wrap and all the other minutia involved in managing a logistically challenging move.

    I wouldn't hesitate referring them to anyone.  Pricing was very fair and fully disclosed up front.  No surprises there.  Even the boxes they sold us were very reasonable considering the cost of boxes these days. 

    Wonderful experience for someone who really, really hates moving!!!

  • I am really pleased with the outcome of this job.  We moved our home of the last 15+ years to a new place several blocks away.  I called Northstar 3 weeks prior to our target move date.  They sent an estimator, Ron the next day. He was on time and went through our home with us to do an estimate.  At that point we had not done much packing.  We have a lot of interests and hobbies--so after 15 years, we've accumulated a lot of "stuff". On top of that we also had a large fridge, washer and dryer and a fair amount of furniture. Our plan was to purge what we could and pack and move the rest. After we finished at that house. We drove over to the new place so he could see what the delivery end would be like.

    The old house was on one floor with easy access to the street.  The new house is 2 floors with a steep down-sloping driveway and no parking on the street.  Ron's "not to exceed" estimate was that it would take a crew of 5 10.5 hours.  Also that they would need 2 trucks. A big one that would be unloaded on the street (because it wouldn't be able to handle the angle of the drive) and a smaller one to carry the appliances down the drive to the rear entrance.  The "not to exceed" estimate was $2,450.  We were a bit surprised by that--but confirmed with him that since this was a local move-- the rate was entirely based on an hourly rate (with a 3 hour minimum).  If we could get it done quicker, the price would be reduced.  We set the date and time--and went to work purging and packing.

    By moving day we had packed and organized everything that was going to move (it was a lot stuff). The movers called the day before to confirm and showed up exactly on time.  The crew, lead by Eduardo, were pleasant and professional.  They worked quickly but took the time necessary to treat each item carefully.  It took about 3 hours (with no breaks)to get the trucks loaded. The big truck was completely packed (no room to spare) the smaller truck was more than half full.  We took a lunch break and met at the new house.

    They had a different strategy than Ron for unloading.  Rather than unload the big truck on the street and wheel items down the long driveway.  They managed to skillfully back the large truck partially down the driveway. This got it off the street and reduced the carrying distance from truck to final location.

    Here again the team worked quickly and professionally - they worked until both trucks were empty (no breaks). It was very hot-and and unlike the old place- much of the furniture and heavy boxes needed to be carried up to a second floor.

    It took about 3 hours to finish the job.   The crew were cheerful while they worked--and they took great care with our stuff.  (They even complimented us on how well we had packed and prepped for them.) All in all a great experience. Nothing was damaged.

    In the end the total was based on 6 hours and the fee was about $1600.  Very reasonable for the job.  I recommend them highly.

  • Where to begin? This move has been absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The estimator (David) who
    initially came out was very courteous and thorough. His "not to exceed" estimate was one of the best priced quotes I received. He was confident that they would be able to do it in less time than he was estimating.
    On the day of the move, Joel (the driver), Auturo., and Rolando., called when they were on their way and arrived at the very beginning of their window between 8 and 9am. They looked at everything and began packing right away. They insisted that we leave the work to them...they wanted the move to be as easy as possible for us. They were respectful of our belongings, were extremely professional and communicated everything along the way. They truly went above and beyond!
    They carefully packed and wrapped everything and moved it with care. They arrived at our new house and
    unloaded everything just as carefully.
    At the end of the 10 hour day, they got everything done without ANY damage...AND they completed it 2
    hours quicker than the estimated!!
    I cannot recommend Upline Moving enough. They are the only company I will use in the future!
