Everything went perfectly!! The most important to know about this vendor is his superior attention to detail! You will not be disappointed if you hire this gentleman!! He also is very good at checking back periodically after a job is finished to make sure everything is good and there are no problems. Use him - you won't regret it!!

Mike and his team did a great job remodeling our garage (adding drywall, insulation, a door, window, lighting, etc). Throughout the entire process, Mike was very organized and detailed with the plans. He walks you through the entire process and makes the process clear. The great: the quality of workmanship was top notch. Everything looks top quality and done right. He does the designs himself, which is great. He also took care of all of the city permits for us, and scheduling with the city inspectors. The good: Mike was the most expensive contractor we got bids from (we got 2 others). You are paying for quality and detail. Along with this, Mike goes by the book. He'll make sure to follow every single California code and city code out there. This can be frustrating as it extends the process, limits your options and makes everything more expensive. The meh: When we originally spoke with Mike, he gave us a projected timeline finishing by the end of December. The project ultimately was done by the beginning of February. For us, this wasn't a huge issue, but if you're on a tight timeline, Mike does take his time. Also, for most of the days, he only had one worker working on the project when their easily could have been 2-3 workers working together or on different aspects of the project. The project could have easily taken 1/2 the time, but again - the quality of the work is worth more to us than the schedule. There were also 1-2 times when we scheduled a meeting at a particular time, and Mike pushed the time back by an hour or more. Overall: We appreciate everything Mike did for us, and we would definitely recommend him if you are willing to pay a higher price for a detailed job that is by the books. If you're looking for a quick job, he might not be the way to go.

From the first consultation meeting that we had with Daniel all the way to the final walk thru of the remodeling project that was done by him and his crew, Daniel was a great person to work with. The work that he did for us (A complete kitchen remodeling, bathrooms remodeling, laundry room upgrade and the 2 car garage) was done in fairly time and with high standards of quality. Every one of the crew members made sure that their part in the work was done to the high standards of the rest of craftsmanship that was defined and managed by Daniel. During the remodeling project, we were provided with all the relevant information including solutions to raised problems that came up and all of our questions were answered in a professionally manner. Now that our project is complete and after working with Daniel at Curtis construction services, we are sure that our house will serve our needs for many more years to come.

The construction part went very smoothly and fast, we liked that the sales rep was there from start to finish and didn't leave once he made the sale.  I highly recommend Jeremy Guerra, he was professional and didn't try to sell us things we did not need.  They were careful with all my personal belongings and I appreciated that.

The property was unoccupied throughout the remodel. Overall, the workmen employed to perform the multitude of tasks involved with this project did a wonderful job! This was borne out when the house sold 4 days after being listed. Every showing resulted in comments like I tried, but I couldnt find any problems, the details were addressed; many remodels miss the mark with the details, Id move in right now if I could! As far as the quality of the work goes, I would not hesitate to hire Horizon again. What I would struggle with, however, are the issues I encountered with project management and administrative matters: The project manager I worked with was Mike. Mike was nice, showed a desire to please his client(s), overall accessible to answer questions, and provided sound and helpful design advice. Areas where he can improve include writing things down so he wont forget important issues, reading texts/emails in their entirety to avoid his clients having to answer questions where information has already been provided in an earlier text/email, and showing more finesse in dealing with a client whos opinion/recollection of events differs with his. Ultimately, though, Mikes a good guy and very relatable. The front office staff were very pleasant to deal with, and were attentive to issues that arose. If I had a question, it was usually answered quite promptly. If I was dissatisfied with something, it was also addressed quite promptly. Enna (co-owner), Yafa, and Audrey all stand out as being great to work with. An area that would warrant improvement is the attention to details when it comes to payments. Client payments should be tracked closely by administration so a client does not have to use their time to provide detailed payment information. Every construction project will encounter problems and mistakes. The process has many moving parts. The key factors that helped make this a successful project were that Horizon fulfilled their contractual commitments, took responsibility when mistakes were made, and rectified problems to the satisfaction of their client. Even after the work was done, and I provided the final sign-off on the project, I encountered an issue that was a result of an understandable mistake on Mikes behalf. Enna was so intent on ensuring I was satisfied that she demonstrated her professionalism by rectifying the problem in record time. She stands by the core philosophy of Horizon Construction & Remodeling to honor their commitment to complete client satisfactionI appreciate and respect that.

Clear Choice Windows was one of four vendors we contacted regarding replacing a kitchen window and sliding patio door as part of our kitchen remodel. JR, the owner, was our contact person. He was very professional and friendly. There was no hard sales pitch. He presented information regarding the types of glass in replacement windows that addressed our concern about heat transfer from our east facing window/slider and the different ways to approach our desire to shrink the existing patio slider from 10ft to 7ft wide. They work with a few different brands of windows, but the one JR recommended for our needs was Simonton. JR submitted a quote for the work within 2 days and because we are local to his business, he had already gone down to city hall to make sure that the way he planned to do our patio slider as a retrofit would be acceptable to the city. Based on our research on Simonton windows, the positive feedback on Clear Choice Windows found here on Angies List and Yelp, and also in speaking to customers provided to us by JR, we decided to hire Clear Choice. Out of the three vendors that had returned quotes on the job, Clear Choices price was in the middle of the pack. Due to reducing the size of our patio slider, there was demo work, stucco, drywall, reframing and painting involved. The whole process for our job took 4 days and Clear Choice took care of getting the permits (which we paid for as a pass-through expense, outside of the quote) and scheduling the inspections from the city. Vince and Wade were the employees on our site from beginning to end. They were friendly, professional and polite. They were great at communicating if they had to leave off-site to get materials, what would be done next, making sure that the area was cleaned up when they left for the day and when to expect them back the following day. In short, they did everything they could do to make sure we were happy and satisfied with their work. The job they did reducing the size of our patio slider was amazing! The stucco work matches up so well and we are thrilled with how our new slider looks and operates. The upgraded glass option really makes a difference on the heat transfer in our kitchen and works just as demonstrated by JR during our initial meeting. JR came by to personally check on our job a couple of days later and at that time, I pointed out a small chip in the paint on the handle of the slider door. It was minor and I only inquired if it would rust, but JR immediately found it unacceptable and said hed order a new handle and have it installed. He also addressed my concern about the kitchen window being more difficult for me to open due to added weight from the double pane glass combined with the awkward position of my 51 frame leaning over a kitchen sink/counter to reach the window. Vince had applied some lubricant to the track of the window before he left and in speaking with JR, I was assured the window would get easier to slide open and shut as time progressed. My concerns were not dismissed or treated as trivial, which I truly appreciated. We are so happy and satisfied with the quality of work and customer service from Clear Choice that we have already asked for a quote for additional work on other windows. We look forward to a continued relationship with Clear Choice for all our window and door needs and recommend them for your consideration.

Please see above statement regarding process I had to go through. I did ultimately receive my deposit check back but I would NEVER recommend Modern Roofing inc even to replace a dog house roof let alone a house or condo roof!

Reroof our home which is a large roof with higher peaks. They were on time, cleaned up each day and were very easy to deal with. Also had this company replace windows and paint exterior which were separate from the roof. Office staff was friendly each time I called and response to my questions was quick and professional.

Their price was competitive with other bids. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

They are nice people but we had some issues with them. They made good on everything but it was kind of a tiring experience on some of the stuff that they did. I'll give them credit for that - it took a little bit of time but they did make good on all the issues that we had. It's a young company and the owner is very ambitious and energetic. Like I said, he went out of his way to accommodate us. It's just that when they took measurements of the windows they didn't take it right so we had issues with the shutters, one of the windows was backwards and they had to go to the manufacturer - that took a week, and then some of the glass was scratched on the inside that had to be re-ordered - that took a week. So a job that was only supposed to take maybe three weeks took like four months. Overall, the crew was very good - very courteous and very clean. I think when they get through some of the rough spots and the mismanagement; it was just something that they overlooked. We have plantation shutters and when they measured they didn't take into account for the shutters to open, and when they put the windows in the windows hit the cranks. So they had to come back and re-frame all the shutters. So, I think, the next time around when they do this they'll know what to look for.

Jared's workers were experienced, quick and clean and performed a quality job. Jared gave us a good deal and did the footwork with building permit. His suggestions reduced the work required by the city to approve this upgrade thereby reducing the overall cost of the project. - thank you Jared...
