    Smooth Moves LLC
The move went well, they didnt break anything but there was some minor damage to our new hardwood floors. And when we reported it to the company they took 2 weeks to get back to us. We are still in process of filing the claim

Zuni Movers Moving, Packing & Delivery Company
OK at first - but we were told hardwood polished flooring would be covered and protected - they were not.....this caused numerous long mars from pulling furniture over just using moving blankets thrown under the legs of heavy dressers and caused 2 deep gouges in the wood where they tried to set up a long dresser to pull it further. Took our brand new moving blanket which was not the color of theirs...charged an extra 1/2 hr. for service,...tried to charge for 2 men that showed up to go along to another job - these guys did absolutely nothing but walk around with the other guys and they put an extra $100 for them on our bill.....did not wrap 4 patio chairs which made long white gouges all along the arms from stacking or ? had to have them repainted. Wrote to Mayra Zuni (copied realtor who recommended them) on 3-9 and she said she's come by when we returned from vacation on 3-21. Emailed and called on 3-21 and 3-25 to let her know we were back and never received a reply to date. Have advised my realtor not to recommend this company in the future as she wanted to know the results. Cost was $48.75 per hr/per man (4 men), plus fuel cost. They had a "lift gate" on the truck which is why I used them over other companies that were cheaper.

What do you do when your contracted moving company does NOT show up on your "Big Move Day?"  We were faced with this nightmare in January.  Aside from sheer panic and anger, I started calling every local moving company to see if someone could move us.  After many calls, I finally made the right call to Right Movers.  Even though they had two other moves scheduled that morning, they promised that they would be at our home at 1:30 pm and would help us move out.  I almost danced in the street when their truck pulled up to the curb.  They were so kind and immediately started to wrap our furniture and start the process.  These guys worked until about 9:00 pm that night to make sure everything was in place.  True heroes! I am only ashamed that it has taken me this long to write this review, but Right Movers' help in our situation is still heartfelt and sincerely appreciated.  I would trust them to do a great job for you, too!

Overall the furniture was moved, but one piece with mirror had broken drawer and the movers seemed like they would be in trouble if we claimed it. Now I'm trying to fix myself. One mover had hurt his back and was not very helpful and to top it off, after the move I was missing some jewelry. .

They sent 3 guys and a truck as promised, but one of the guys had hurt his back the previous day and didn't want to lift heavy items. A drawer from nightstand made of antique glass was broken and they looked like they would cry so I didn't claim it. I got a bill with additional charges not identified and to top it off, I was missing some jewelry.

So badly I don't know where to start, well actually I do - some of the workers for All Star Movers are thieves. We discovered they stole about $3000 worth of jewelry after they left at about 5 pm that afternoon. We called the owner at 6 pm and he was too incoherent and sounded as if he was too completely wasted to carry on an intelligent conversation. I had to repeat myself three times for to even understand that I was reporting the theft. And this was just icing on the cake. The team of 8 movers arrived more than 30 mins late which had me greatly concerned because I never received a return call from the day before when I tried to confirm a team would arrive the next morning between 9-9:30, which is what I was promised, and, I had to call 4 times that morning before finally the owner answered to let me know the team is running late. Moving out of our last home, the workers dragged heavy cabinets across would floors leaving scratches on the wood, smashed a bed frame on the ceiling causing damage to the ceiling coming down the stairs, damaged the paint on the counter top of a desk we sold to the buyer forcing us to have to refund the money they paid for it, and generally just threw a lot of our furniture around no doubt doing damage that we will be be discovering for weeks ahead. Because I can't get a returned or answered call by the owner, I can't even follow-up on the damage, which was reported to him by his job foreman before I paid. In talking with the workers during the course of the morning, it was apparent that 4 of the 8 workers were regular employees for the company, but it seemed the other 4 were more like day laborers or friends of friends that they drafted to work for the day. Those that seemed liked non-regulars were not able answer even simple questions about the best way for us to do certain things in regards to packing items. I chose All Star Moving because they had high ratings on Angie' List and they are a local San Clemente company and I like to support our local vendors and companies. In this case, what a bad decision that was. Seems only the owner is local, all the employees are from well south of here; no wonder they were so comfortable stealing from us. Don't believe anything the owner, Daniel, wrote on their website. I hate having to write a review like this, but being new to Angie's List I want to support the community of members and think anyone considering All Star Moving should have this information.

    All Star Moving Inc
The two person crew was early but ready to go at start time.  Owner Daniel was clear on charges prior to move day, and move was relatively uneventful.  A minor issue was totally resolved quickly by owner with much professionalism.  Driver was friendly and hard working.  Crew worked very quickly, but efficiently. I would use this company again, with no reservations.

NorthStar Moving Company-State to State Moves Only
They arrived on time and contacted us an hour before to let us know their ETA. They arrived with two trucks to unload the storage unit and then moved it 17 miles to the new home. They were excellent. Hard workers and careful with our furniture and boxes. They set up the beds and put furniture where I requested. Excellent experience.
