  • I think I added a couple of extra sensors. I don;t think there was anything that I dislike. I think they are very customer service friendly. From the sales, at the beginning, it was no pressure sale. When I did have problems, I was trying to install the sensors and the program, they were extremely patient. They were very competitive. They didn't have to come and do anything. They were very professional when they did call and talk to somebody.

  • I was scheduled to meet the sales consultant on Friday afternoon at three pm but he called me Thursday night to say he was double booked.  That was nice of him to call me the day before.  I went ahead and altered my plans.  We rescheduled his visit for Saturday morning at 9:00 am but he showed up at 9:30 am.  I had called the toll-free at about 9:25 am to make sure I was not mistaken but they had no record of a reschedule.  I am glad he did show up at 9:30 but he did not offer an apology.  He was courteous and took off his shoes when he came in.  He appeared unprepared though, no equipment display like the reps from other companies and did not provide much of an explanation of the service offerings.  To his credit he did not try to up-sell us and explained that we should only need a basic package.  After thinking about it over the weekend, we decided to ask him for a more comprehensive set of sensors and the cost associated; and followed up with a few more questions.  I emailed him Monday morning those questions.  I had not received any acknowledgement or response to my email throughout the day so at about 4:30 pm that afternoon, I decided to call him.  He answered his phone and said he just arrived at the office and saw my email.  I asked him to respond to it so my wife and I could make an informed decision.  He said he would look at the email and get back to us.  It is now Tuesday afternoon at about 2:30 pm and no response.  I should have requested a date and time from him to respond.  My experience with sales reps is that they are eager and go over board to follow-up.  I am inclined to drop ADT as an option.  How will I be treated once I am a customer if there is little interest in trying to get me to be a customer?

    I did hear back from the representative Wednesday evening and he addressed most of my questions.  This was after I called customer service to page him.  I also spoke with Andrew from ADT's corporate customer service; in response to my review.  It was nice to see that ADT devotes resources to address reviews and concerns.  Hopefully, it will improve their overall service.

  • The company promptly contacted me after I purchased the Angie's Deal. I called them prior to the purchase with several questions and they were generous with their time and explained the options and products offered in detail. The technician arrived precisely on time and the installation was efficient. The equipment is GE and the sensors were small and unobtrusive. I had just parted ways with ADT and the the control panel and sensors from Security One were more aesthetically more palatable. I have been called twice by the security company and in both instances I was expecting their call since the alarm had been tripped. They called immediately and were professional. My monthly fee is extremely reasonable and less than I paid with ADT. If you are reading this and trying to make a decision regarding vendors, please do yourself a favor and exclude ADT from consideration. They will do a wonderful job selling you, but they do not take proper care of you once you are under contract. I have used them both commercially and for my residence and they are the most disorganized, incompetent, and least customer centric company I have ever had the displeasure to patronize. It was a genuine pleasure to work with Security One and I would wholeheartedly recommend their services.
