    Patterson Plumbing and Drain Inc.
Amazing! Ivan was so great to work with! From our first call to inquire, he knew and explained exactly what we needed and quoted a fair price. He showed up exactly on time, was courteous and kept us updated along the way. We couldnt more pleased with the quality of the work and the overall experience. HIGHLY Recommended!!

    Duncan's Plumbing
Eric arrived on time, did good work. We were appalled at the charges. He worked 3 hours and we were charged $1000, with minimal part charges. I don't criticize Eric, rather company policy that has outrageous charges. We were over a barrel because I had just had surgery and was unable to help do the work with my partner. Duncan's should publicly state that their charges don't correlate with time. Highway robbery! We waited until the late afternoon appointment having no idea of their policies on charges thus had little ability to make another choice. The work needed to be done.

Culligan Water Conditioning of Salinas CA
While the techs were at my home they stole some electronics and a tool kit from my garage. I didn't get a satisfactory response from their management. They got defensive and basically called me a liar. I wanted them to speak with the techs that came out to my home and then get back with once they'd spoken with them. Instead they got defensive and said that it was my word against theirs.

Struggled to get the old plumbing removed from the porcelain without scratching or cracking the existing fixture. Did so successfully. Installed new equipment no problem.
Explained process and cost and performed accordingly.

    Mario Capetillo Plumbing Inc
My kitchen sink faucet died earlier this month. When I saw Mario Capetillo Plumbing reviews on Angies List, I called M.C. Plumbing to schedule an appointment for August 8.
Appointment #1: A plumber from Mario Capetillo Plumbing came to my house at the appointed time, removed the old busted faucet and installed the new one I had purchased ahead of time. I paid $154.42 for the services rendered, and the plumber left.
The next morning I wanted to use the disposal. When I flipped the switch, the disposal did not turn on. I suspected the plumber had forgotten to plug the disposal back in, but, because I have a bad knee, I could not get beneath the sink to inspect the area and verify the problem. So I called Mario Capetillo Plumbing again. The dispatcher said someone would be at my house that day between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Appointment #2: The appointed time came and went. Nobody showed. I called back. This time I got voice mail (probably because the time was now beyond regular business hours). I left a message asking for my call to be returned. No one called that day.
Appointment #3: The next day, mid-day, Mario Capetillo himself called me and said he had just heard my voice mail. He offered to come to my house and fix it, which he did. He also reinspected the overall installation to make sure it was solidly done. It was. So, by showing up at my house on a Sunday to complete the installation that his employee had not finsihed, Mario made good on the appointment missed by his employee the previous day. For that reason I would be willing to use Mario Capetillo Plumbing Inc in the future.

In fact, had it not been for the badly botched second appointment, I would have given M.C. Plumbing an even higher rating than I gave here.

    Precision Built Construction

Jason is the owner of this business. He was very responsive with his call back (called me back in about 10 minutes), courteous, professional. When I described the work I had that needed attention he said that it sounded like fairly simple and general "handyman" type jobs. I'm assuming he had bigger general contractor type projects because Jason said that because the work sounded fairly simple he would send somebody else over, an older gentleman named Dave. I was fine with that, totally fair. I know a lot of people can do these tasks on their own it's just that I have absolutely no handyman knowledge whatsoever and no real tools. Jason vouched for Dave as a good guy and because of the nature of the task he should be in and out and not "milk the time."

Overall, having Dave work at the house was a pleasant experience. He is a really nice guy, friendly. And he did good work. I'm no handyman but I figured this was fairly simple work and even Jason thought so too over the phone. I thought at most the whole thing might take 2-3 hours  -- I ended up getting charged for 5 five hours. I think there should have been better communication if Dave thought the work was going to go beyond 2 or 3 hours because then I don't think it would be considered an "in and out" job, like Jason said.

I would have given this business an "A" for price as I thought the $65 per hour for labor that Jason charged was very competitive, especially with the peace of mind that comes with it that this business is "legit" being bonded and insured as well. But I went with the grade of "B" because in the end I felt like there should have been better communication if he expected the work to take more than 3 hours, meaning I would end up paying over $300, so it felt like the job was indeed milked for time and ultimately my money.

I was told Dave would arrive between 9-10am, he arrived around 9:45. He left around 11:30 to go to Home Depot (only 3 miles away) to pick up one wood door frame and other miscellaneous materials required for the job (that is the $24.74 included in the total cost of $349.74 for the job). Dave said he would take about a 30 minute lunch break. He didn't get back to the house until about 1:45pm. And then finally finished at around 4:30pm. It was fortunate that I didn't have any other plans that day but to stay at the house all day. Thus the "C" for punctuality and professionalism.

I was torn about writing this review at all as both Jason and Dave seem like good guys doing good work. I understand things don't always go as planned or expected but that is why I wish there was better communication so I wouldn't have received the negative surprise at the end. I think I would use these guys again but next time I will probably get more clarification on the timeline of the project.

    Duncan Plumbing
This provider is listed on your service.  They arrived at appointed time to give an estimate.  They would not give an estimate over the phone. (This cost me a delay in getting the toilet installed.)  When given the estimate of $642.00 to install a toilet I had already purchased and to replace an old emergency stop valve, I was shocked.  I refused the service for being much too costly.  I then called another licensed plumber and 3 days later had the toilet and stop valve installed.  They did this work and took the old toilet away for a total of $125.00.  I would never call Duncan Plumbing for work again.

    Duncan Plumbing
Everything was good. I would rate them high on everything. They were prompt and they showed up when they said that they would. They did the work that they said that they would and I have not had any issues with it so I cannot complain. I have actually used them two times. They replaced the water heater for us nine months ago for $300.

    MARTY FIXIT
Marty was efficient but still took the time to explain what he was doing and the possible alternatives.  He spent a little time researching the availability of original replacement parts (not likely) and was able to effect a "workaround".  Polite and friendly.

    Tony's Plumbing & Drain Service
I called four other plumbers before initially contacting Tony in 2007 and they either ignored my call or responded 2-5 days later.
That is never the case with Tony's Plumbing--he responds within 30minutes  I have referred him to all my friends
and neighbors in need of a good plumber.  If its something he's not equipped to handle, he doesn't hesitate to recommend someone else.
He doesn't talk a lot but just does his work.
Tony carries the necessary parts to make repairs.  He is worth working with!!!  I recommend him without reservation
