    Engler, Dr. Andrew C
I have been going to The Allergy and Asthma Clinic for over 6 years, and I have been absolutely delighted with them. They have controlled my allergies to a very manageable state. Dr. Engler is very expert, caring, and accessible. He always takes as much time and patience as I need, I never feel rushed. The rest of his staff shows the same professionalism and care. Dr. Engler even follows up every visit with written notes on what we discussed and sends a copy to me and my primary physician. I have not see that kind of attention to detail anywhere else! I highly recommend Dr. Engler and The Allergy and Asthma Clinic.

    Kaiser Permanente Med Grp THS
I see no doctor in particular. Their whole service is good - it is very positive. They have different offices for different kinds of services - I use the one located on Geary Boulevard, San Francisco. They are very integrated and very well coordinated. The providers are very professional. I would continue to use them in the future.

    Wolfe, James D
Most recently, he identified and cured a very stubborn sinus infection that had hung on through multiple rounds of antibiotics and visits with my primary care physician, and he kept my asthma under control through the entire period of illness.

    ROBERT TORRANO
I have seen Dr. Torrano for years and he never seems to rush me. I started seeing him in college and now travel 1500 miles or more (depending on where I'm living) to see him. The nurse always checks my peak flows before I see the doctor. If he has any samples of anything I take or that he believes might work he makes sure I have a supply before I leave. He is very conscientious of medications I have taken in the past and haven't liked, and when offering me a new med he always tells me about any side effects. He is always trying to get my dosage down to the lowest manageable dose that is still effective.

    Madill, Peter V
Dr. Madill is my model for what a really good doctor should be like. He cares about his patients to the maximum degree. He researches and works for a patient, spending far more time and care than any other doctor I have ever seen. He has the reputation of seeing the kinds of patients and conditions that other doctors can't treat. He is successful at treating them. He specializes in allergies, immunology, and orphan conditions such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and multiple chemical sensitivity. He's a little earthy, having grown up on a sheep farm in New Zealand, and he's more expensive than many doctors, probably because he spends so much time with his patients. If you have a problem that no one has been able to help you with, Dr. Madill is likely to be the one who will solve it. Unfortunately I have moved to a location that is too far away for me to continue to see him.

    Menlo Medical Clinic
Dr, Cummings is an allergist and my experience with her has been very satisfying. It was convenient for me from where I used to work and live. Although is less convenient these days, I decided to stick with her. Things being as they are right now with my health insurance, I can stay with her. She is good over all.

    Allergy & Asthma Associates
no hassle. You arrive, sign in, get your shots, wait 20 mins, get checked, and go. Nice waiting room with lots of magazines, tables if you want to work, etc.

Allergy and Asthma Medical Group of the Bay Area
It is a very well run office. I can't speak highly enough about them. As far as the shot are concerned, they have good hours, you don't have to make an appointment, you just show up and they make it very easy for you. They have morning and afternoon hours, except on Wednesday, when it is only in the afternoon.

    Alan Heller MD
I have used him for years. He really listens to his patients. I am a nurse and I have worked with a lot of doctors and he just seems to know what will work for you, medication-wise. He always wants feedback about how you are feeling. He's very good about explaining what is going on "medically". He has a very good bed-side manner as well. He seems to get to the root of the problem fairly quickly and will work to really stabilize your allergy condition. He is very good with asthma. He is involved with research so he knows what is "new" in the field and is very up-to-date. He works with you at taking care of the problem.

I have been using him for about 25 years. He is excellent at what he does. He is very compassionate and works very well with his patients. He is very responsive to the patients needs be it medication or treatment. His staff his excellent and I have never received poor care and I would not have been there for 25 years if I had.
