    Make Your Move
I can't tell you how grateful we are that we connected with Make Your Move. Kevin and his team has been instrumental in taking care of some of our storage tenants by helping them to move from house to storage or storage to house or even from unit to unit. They never disappoint and deliver their service with professionalism.

Arpin Van Lines - Tony's Sons Moving & Storage Inc
This company is great to work with everything was clearly explained to us so that we could be ready to move out and go to storage. The crew of three arrived on time, introduced themselves and got to work. We self packed a 2200 sq ft house that we lived in for 15 yrs. The crew was surprised how organized we were and finished emptying this home in 3.5 hrs. We will see how well the move-in goes in couple weeks. Two thumbs up!

    Alhambra DS Services
Hold times for customer service are long and the representatives often give out inaccurate information or seem poorly trained. Our deliveries have more items than we requested and we are being billed for items that were not delivered. We are also not being credited fully for the empty bottles we return. And, since they require autopay, you don't know you are being ripped off until you check your credit card bill and notice the charges are higher than normal. We are canceling our service; we'll lug water home from the store instead.

    Consolidated Communications
I am not really happy with them. I have been with them since it was Roseville Communications then it was Sure West, and then it was something else before that and now it's Consolidated. I just have to go in and see if they can give me a better rate. I talked to people and they are getting a lower rate than I am for the bundle, but everything works and they are good in troubleshooting. They have a 21-day billing cycle but it's up to us to figure out when we are going to get it. Because I travel a lot and sometimes I'm out of the country, I came back like this last time, I was 2 days late with their little deadline, and I got this letter saying the disconnection requirements. It's really overreacting and I've never missed a payment ever. I've been late maybe 3 times in 20 years. I go to the office and they tell me they are an East coast company and we are trying to get them to soften up when they do their billing and stuff. Why should it make any difference whether they are East coast or West coast, I don't understand. It must be from New Jersey. I don't use anything. If I rent a movie or something like that, that will land anywhere from $5. They don't offer anything. It's up to me to inquire. I'm not doing this that much and then I look around and I see all these people changing providers and getting these great deals so I think I have to be a little more proactive, but it's kind of hard because I don't have time. All those 3 things are pretty important except for the TV, I just don't have time to be chasing these stuff around. I may go in and see if they have a senior citizen special or something. They are actually very good. Any time I had to troubleshoot like if the TV goes off and my remote is not working, they are great, the person to person contact, I can go in to their office or if I have to go on the phone to walk through something if my television or DVR is not working, they are wonderful. They are very personable, they get to the point, and there hasn't been a problem that they have not been able to solve for me on that troubleshooting thing like with the TV or the computer. That was really good. No matter what time because sometimes at night I had to do stuff in the evening, I would call in the evening and they are just always really great that way, and I don't think those people make a lot of money. When our remote control broke, all I did was call up and I went pick it up and it's there. We had a router put in because my husband was ill and we had to build him a little room in the first floor because he can't do stairs. We had a router for the computer so we can bring it downstairs. That was just done in one afternoon. I took him to the doctor, came home, and my daughter picked up the router, brought it home, and sorted it out. They are really good about that, but that was not under Consolidated. That was when it was still Sure West. I think those things haven't changed probably. I like their timeliness. Punctuality has never been a problem. They give me a time frame but it's not like between 8 and 5 or anything like that. It's more like a 2-hour kind of thing. They call me and tell me they are coming. All the people I have dealt with were very professional.

    Par TV Services
The sound had gone out on my TV. The repairman tried to sell me a $200 - $500 fix for downloading and installing an upgrade to my software. ($200 if the upgrade worked & $500 if he had to replace the mother board if the upgrade didn't work. When I unplugged everything and plugged it back in, the sound actually came on before I started the upgrade so I don't even think it needed the upgrade was needed since the diagnostics I ran prior to calling PAR stated that I had the latest software version. His laptop wouldn't work initially so he had to fix it before he could do anything. I downloaded and installed the upgrade myself in minutes while he was here but he still charged me the $95 service call. I would not do business with PAR again.

I have been with them for so long, and their overall service stands out. I usually go to the store if I need something, they don't come to me. You can always call customer care, and they are pretty prompt about answering the phone.

I feel lucky to have connected with Matt. At a difficult time, doing something I hadn't done before -- rent a house --he was professional, helpful and clearly informative about what I needed to do. HIs recommendations are reliable. He is responsive to my requests and those of the tenants. I feel his fees are reasonable -- and he is well organized and sends regular statements.

The day my mother died I called a number of funeral homes, and received quotes for the simple cremation requested by my late mother ranging from several thousand dollars  to curiously low.  When Rita answered the phone at North Sacramento Funeral Home, her warm, sympathetic yet businesslike manner appealed to me immediately. She gave me all the information I wanted and assured me that they have on-site crematoria, so they do not send bodies out for cremation, a common practice. With on-site there isn't a chance of mix-ups. The price quoted for the services required was reasonable. All the staff I encountered at this family-run business were warm, efficient, sensitive and accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone at a sad time of loss. They are professional, compassionate, and do not try to take advantage of those in mourning.

Very punctual both for the estimate and the installation. AJ is a very skilled welder and did a great job of installing the fence across a field of cropping boulders. Bill is very responsive and quoted a very reasonable price. These guys know their job, I will call them next time I need any metal fence or gate work.

Went with Surewest since they were the only internet service provider in our area at the time (now WAVE is available).  We bundled with cable tv as they offered a deal for bundled service.  While the price during the promotion period (1 year) is ok, the normal regular price, I believe, is a bit exorbitant.
Installation was great.  The technician came on time and installed the internet and two tvs to cable professionally (he even wore booties as we don't wear shoes in our home).  There was a small issue with the cable modem placement (not his fault), but the tech gave me his number and told me to call him and he will come back to adjust this when we were ready.  Sure enough, a few weeks later when we called and left a message, he called back and we set up a time for him to come back and he quickly fixed the issue.
We have not had an issues with drops in speed or loss of cable service so far.
We did notice that the cost of service has crept up a bit (even while we are in the promotional period) - something to do with charging more for local channels (which can't be adjusted).
