    Galaz Electronics Installation
Derek was wonderful. He was very prompt to return messages and did a great job installing my cameras. There is no way I could have done it myself. He was patient with me when I tried to figure out where I wanted the cameras installed. He and his partner did the job in a very timely manner. I have and will continue to recommend him.

Mark arrived on time, inspected the premises, suggested the locations for the cameras and gave an estimate. We agreed and he came back the next week for the install. He is knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. My wife is usually leery of having workers in the house, but she was very comfortable with Mark. He did an excellent job on the install, set up the recorder for the house and internet access through our computer and IPhone. The system works perfectly. He's an exceptionally nice person. We would highly recommend him.

    ADT Security Services
I would never recommend this company. Our new home development had a "special" deal with ADT which included free installation. The technicians that came  to install our system were incompetent. They didn't know what they were doing and we had to get another technician twice more to fix the problem. Also, they run a "referral scam". They say that for each referral they will give you $50. and the referral will get $50. We referred ADT to two neighbors who had ADT install their alarms. It's been six months and no referral checks. When we asked when will we and our two referrals get the checks, they say it's "complicated". Turns out they sub-contract the referral payments to a second party, which has an unsecure web site. Bad business practice.

    Capital Connect
I'm very wary and have concerns with anything electronic or that has a outside connection in my home due to hacking, etc.and his pitch started to sound to good to be true. He confirmed my suspicions when he started taking off his shoes and stating he needed to come inside my home to get a look at my entire system. I suddenly felt like this wasn't on the up and up despite his consistent behavior and well groomed appearance. I told him to slow down and asked why he needed to come inside my home. He had a decent explanation and I almost relented when he started taking his shoes off again and stated and quot;So let me get there and check out your systemand quot;. I told him I wasn't comfortable with anyone not associated with my alarm company looking at my system's inner-workings and that he could be anyone. I asked if he had any identification to confirm his identity, he gave me his card and stated he was sub contractor of GE who manufactured my alarm company's hardware and told me to call the # or check online.
I was about to tell him I'd think about it when he stated a 3rd time and quot;Okay well let's get a look at your system!and quot; and started to push his way in- With red flags abound, I put my foot on the door and told him he was not going to enter my home. His rebuttal was chalk full of wisdom about how he would be saving me time when he returned after I had checked him out and found out what a great deal it was for me. This was said with a king sized amount incredulity. At this point I was not only completely uncomfortable but beginning to get angry. I politely told him I WOULD check him out and IF I decided to take him up on his offer that I would contact him.
My mother and wife were in the my family room and after I explained everything we all decided something was definitely not right about the whole thing. I have since researched this company to find out that this entire thing is scam by another alarm company under the guise of an and quot;upgradeand quot;. They actually cost more than my current alarm company per month and they pin you to an insane contract period. As for that upgraded equipment that's supposed to be free? You end up paying for it in the additional upgrades they try and up-sell you. Typical bait and switch - your current alarm system for theirs. No thanks. My alarm company has been very good to me for many years and not once have they tried to pull a fast one like this company. So if you see a Capital Connect guy on your door - don't answer.

Due to a break-in attempt at a neighbor's home, we decided we wanted to install a security system. Our daughter referred us to FrontPoint and an Angie's List Deal clinched the deal. We contacted FrontPoint and arranged for the equipment to be shipped. The equipment arrived as promised within the time frame established.  We had a few questions about how to install the alarms on some of our doors because of the way the doors are framed, but after a quick call to Customer Service we were able to complete the install of the door alarms easily. The motion detector and fire alarm were installed without additional assistance. We then called to activated the system and have been using it ever since.
I also want to add that every contact with FrontPoint has been responded to with promptness, courtesy and professionalism.

First Solutions responded immediately and asked first if we could wait or needed them asap. They showed up promptly as promised and were able to diagnose the problems without hesitation. They demonstrated the alarm system was working. The owner, Scott called me directly after the repair to ensure my satisfaction.

It went well fromm the first phonecall to the time the technician  left.  I felt comfortable with the technician with him in my home and that is important to me becasue I am a female and I live alone.

The installer arrived late after calling, and scoped the job. He determined some wiring in the house prewiring job was defective and some of the installed alarm sensors were improperly installed, so he installed wireless sensors in all but front door at no extra cost; the front door had usable detectors (but they failed later as they were improperly placed and using the wrong magnet and had to be replaced by ADT's contract maintenance / repair service, River City Alarm Co.) Nice well-intentioned installer, but insufficiently knowledgeable to realize the job was not well done. The project lasted over half a day with no wiring requirements, and failed later (front door mentioned above.) In all, though the installer was friendly and helpful the job was not performed satisfactorily, resulting in false alarms, police visits and requiring additional work later to rectify the errors (from an experienced troubleshooter - see River City Alarm Co. review.) As a onetime worldwide electronic troubleshooter / air traffic control radar installer, I have a professional basis for reviewing the installer's work and deeming it unsatisfactory - and now we have three false alarm strikes with the local police department, meaning significant fines the next time.

River City does sell and install alarms, but ADT and Tyco use them for all out-of warranty repair work. They were contacted by ADT, and an appointment was made for sometime between 9 and 11 AM the next day. Rich T. and his assistant showed promptly at 9:00, the work was speedily and professionally done (I used to wire and install air traffic control systems worldwide, I know a good electronics / electrical job when I see it.) They job was done within 20 minutes, and they charged me $25 for what I was quoted $121 at minimum.

We replaced our front door and needed a new magnet installed to allow the alarm to activate. I searched at various hardware stores to no avail. I called Resi-Comm who installed our system in 2002. I requested a quote on an additional alarm bell and they returned my call with a quote the next day and made an appointment at a convenient time. Jeff arrived on time, performed the work quickly and professionally.
