    ROC Construction Group
Daniel does great work and he is very patient. Upon completion, we didn't like the color paint we choose. We thought we would be stuck with it but Daniel was willing to repaint the entire bathroom at a very reasonable price. Even with the extra work, the entire project was less expensive than other quotes we received.

    SOD Builders
Very Professional, Excellent, Specialized and mostly outstanding work results. I cannot give SOD builders enough good and positive words. Oren and his professional team were truly a blessing to my opinion We searched everywhere for a trusty general contractor that can come over, give a price and do the job on the best side. We reached out all of our close friends and family using almost any method. We reached out to bad and awarded contractors that showed us not good contractors that their main concern was to find out what is the budget and to try to reach it in order to maximize their profit. Then we found SOD builders via one of the friends. During the meeting Oren we realized he was all business. Oren seat with us and explained in details the process, how they work and explained us everything we basically need to know and do before. The work that we did included the full renovation of the master bedroom, master bathroom, and full kitchen remodeling and additional room at the house. Oren recommended us to move out of the house but when we insist to stay, he did all he could to do the work in a way that it wont affect our living at the house. The work that was massive, went good and without any major issue. The workers were very nice to us and because we lived at the house during the work, they did a good cleaning and made all they could to cover the spaces so dust wont pass as Mach as it should. This remodeling gave us a good feeling about this company and that they can and will finish the work as agreed which is the most important thing.

    ClearChoice Windows and Doors, Inc.
The new windows are wonderful - - Energy efficient and the house is so much quieter! We love our new windows and doors! But the windows can only be as good as the installers!! Marco Bugarin, the lead installer, is a perfectionist! He has a team that seems to know exactly what he needs without him saying a word! Everything was completed in two days, cleaned up, and perfect! I would highly recommend these windows but only if Marco Bugarin is the installer. He goes beyond what is necessary to make everything perfect!

    Pioneer Door Inc
Alan came out to look at the job, took all the measurements and said he would get back to me the next day.
Sure enough,he did. I was looking to get a roll up door (like you see in a storage unit). He gave me two prices, one for the door
I was thinking about and one for a sectional garage door. In talking about the two options, he said a roll up door would require two men to install and some additional framing would be needed. If I went with the sectional door, one man could install it in the existing opening and it would match my existing garage door and it would be $300.00 cheaper.
Being as I'm retired and fairly frugal I chose the second option.
When the door came in Alan called to set up a date and time to have the job done. His Installer Michael called said he'd be here the next day and showed up exactly on time. Real nice guy, got right to work and didn't stop until the job was done. Very professional.
The door was even better than I was planning on and really made a difference in the look of my garage/shed area.
I would really like to thank Alan for working with me and all his suggestions. If anyone asks I would highly recommend
Pioneer Door for any garage or exterior door needs. Thanks-- Dan

James Edward Handyman & Custom Woodwork
I called James the a day or two before and he came by to diagnose the problems mentioned earlier--he determined the garbage disposal needed to be replaced (he went out to get a new garbage disposal and replaced it the same day). He determined the gas dryer air duct (which allows the dryer air to be vented to the outside) did not need to be replaced but just needed to be sealed. He repaired some wood damage on a door frame very well. He also determined that the occasional loud noise when turning on hot water in a bathtub could not be repairs without tearing out the wall..
Overall, his diagnoses was very professional and honest and the repair work he did was excellent.

    Door Dr
The contractor, Pat, started work by replacing our wooden front double doors with pre-hung fiberglass doors.   We originally selected a high quality secure Baldwin lock system which required them to be mortised into the door.  Pat said that he was not sure that he could mortise in the lock system.  He also mentioned that he felt they were no more secure than a "regular" lock system and convinced us to forego the lock for a non-mortised Baldwin lock.  I do not feel that Pat was knowledgeable about the Therma Tru doors and/or the Baldwin locks and perhaps the patience to mortise a good lock.  Both are NOT big box store items since they are higher quality.
    Front Doors
During installation, Pat informed us that the double handles had to line up either looking from the outside or from the inside.  We didn't understand why not both but stated that we would rather they lined up from the outside.  Since he had already drilled holes in the door before he asked, this meant he would have to replace the passive door.  Pat did not charge me for this change out but do not understand why the question was not asked beforehand.  For the passive door (the one not used often), no plate was installed in the frame to secure the bolt.  The bolt went into a hole drilled into the frame.
    New Window
Pat demolished the old aluminum sliding door and framed in a new window to a smaller opening.  After the framing and installation of the window, we inquired why the sliding window was not aligned with the frame.  i.e. the window was installed crooked so that when the sliding glass window was moved toward the edge to close there was approximately a 1/4" gap at the top and no gap at the bottom.  The slider could not align with the frame since it was crooked.  When this was pointed out to Pat, he tried straightening out the window but a gap still remained.  He said that was the best he could do.  We did not understand this since he framed and installed the entire window himself.
    Person Garage Door
The person garage door was installed as a pre-hung door.  The frame was deeper than the original door.  Consequently, the new door frame extended into the garage.  We were not concerned about looks in the garage.  We were concerned that since the frame extended beyond the depth of the 2x4 stud framing, the dead bolt was held close only by the 3/4" frame - no more.  We felt  that one could have just leaned on the door and pushed it open.  In an estimate by another contractor, it was pointed out that our door required a shallower frame to insure the dead bolting was secure into a stud
Pat had asked for no money until the job was finished.  We offered to pay for the doors upon delivery but Pat declined saying he would be completed soon. Upon completion of the job (the same day the last screw was installed), Pat asked for final payment.   I was not at home and, due to what was seen earlier, I requested to inspect the work prior to payment and would take the check to his house that night if necessary.  Pat lost his temper and could not understand what the problem was.  We reluctantly give the check to him - our mistake since the work was not satisfactory.
We exchanged emails and Pat claimed that we could never be satisfied nor did we allow him to come back and make the job right.  He also said that the conditions we described was not how he left the job.  We offered to send him pictures of the incomplete work and would hold this evaluation if he still wanted to discuss our differences.  It has been a week and we anticipated that he would NOT come back to address our problems.  Today, we began the correction work ourselves.
We had also informed Pat that we had not received the warranties.  Baldwin locks, Therma Tru doors, and the Milgard window all come with lifetime warranties.  Pat later told us that he took the Milgard stickers from some windows he was installing and we could have it.  Fortunately, Milgards now come with unique identifying numbers on EACH window.  We are also currently dealing with Pat's supplier for the Baldwin and Therma Tru warranties.  Pat is the Door Dr and was totally unaware of the warranties on doors and lock systems.
We felt bad writing this evaluation but do not wish to have customers believe that he is the professional he claims to be.

    Mark C Petersen Residential Remodeling
The Project began promptly and ended on schedule and within budget. Each day began with outlining work to be performed and at day's completion job site was left as clean as possible. Included all debris removal.

Work was coordinated and scheduled with other subcontractors to complete tiling, stone counter installations and painting without any impacts to schedule.

Mark and Scott made the remodel experience as pleasant as possible with minimal disruption to the household. Their professionalism and attention to detail caught several significant existing problems that were easily correctable at the time.

Mark Petersen proves that quality never has to be compromised.
