Home Security System reviews in Rolling Hills

    Dry Down Inc
A Plummer I called recommended Dry Down and thank God. They were onsite within an hour pumping out the sewage, taking pictures, moisture readings, removing flooring/drywall and anything the nasty water came in contact with. To make a long horrible story short, it is SO important to find someone with your interest in mind. These guys were professional, knowledgeable, and took care of business. If I would have listened to county representatives, my home would have been ruined and/or had moisture/mold/bacteria issues for years. I highly recommend this company. In my situation, it's never ever a good idea to go with a cheap company.

    Mulholland Security Centers LLC
Mulholand Security was extremely responsive to our original review. They expressed concern and quickly repaired and/replaced all problem issuess. Our security is reinstated. The finalized gate and fencing are outstanding.

We recommend Mulholand Security to potential purchasers of quality security fencing

We also apologize to Mulholand Security for the delay in updating the status of the situation.

    TekMan Security
Tekman did a great job.  I had previously used Tekman for my prior home and after our recent move, did not hesitate in contacting Tekman to install security & camera system in my new home.
The team is excellent, honest, and professional.

    TekMan Security

We needed them to install without any conduit outside the home, as I didn't want any pipes on the outside of our house.  Installation went smoothly and everything was installed within a day.  Work was done cleanly and all lines were run within the wall as required.  The team cleaned up after the work so no complaints there.  Chris from Tekman called a few days later to make sure everything was working to satisfaction.

I would recommend them if you need any security products installed.

    JW ELECTRIC CO
We've used JW ELECTRIC CO, who have come out a few times, mostly to replace bad lights. He was excellent. They were great. They were very careful. We've got very high ceilings in our living room and they had to go up there to replace some track lighting. That was above and beyond the call of duty.

    Palos Verdes Lock & Key
The minute they showed up they showed me a video of a theft/break in of a house on their smart phone, in order to try to scare us into purchasing new locks that cost hundreds of dollars per lock.  When I refused, they persisted to the point of being unprofessional.  Then, they claimed they were unable to change several of the locks as we did not have the original key to the locks.  They left that day having only been able to complete about 10% of our locks in our house.  But they charged us a full serviced fee.  We then had to call out another Locksmith to finish the job and they were able to change all the locks in the house.  PV Lock and Key is either incompetent or dishonest as the new locksmith was able to (easily) change all the locks without the keys.

Note this company does business under another brand "Lazimi Lock and Key", and when you call PV Lock and Key, someone from Lazimi may show up.  So read all the reviews and look at the reputation of that company (not good) as well, they are one and the same.

After my initial negative review on Angie's List I was contacted by the owner several times trying to convince me that Lazimi was not related to PV Lock and Key.  When I refused to remove my negative review, they got aggressive and threatened to have an attorney call me.

This company is not ethical nor competent, do not use them

    KRB Construction
The best part of the whole experience was the level of professionalism they displayed.  They were always on time and always cleaned up their mess on a daily basis.  Karl and his foreman were amazing communicators and I really have not had a better experience with a contractor.  Their work is also phenomenal.  We will absolutely use them again.

    Laris Lock & Key Service
Chris Mendoza arrived exactly on time, calling in advance to let me know he was en route. He examined the wooden file cabinets which are part of a larger bookshelf system, advising me on the best locks to have installed. He discussed the optimal placement of the locks, the color choices, etc. and really listened to my concerns. I was particularly worried about damage or splintering of the wood because the file storage units are very high quality and a focal point of the room. Chris assured me no damage would be done to the wood and he could match the antique bronze hardware used for the drawer pulls so that the locks would look like they were installed by the manufacturer. He gave me an estimate of the cost for installing the locks and as it sounded reasonable for the work involved, I agreed to have him do the work. At that point, I mentioned to Chris that I usually select contractors that I find on Angie's List and he offered me a generous discount if I would agree to write a review of his work as he didn't have any reviews in Angie's List yet. The locks needed to be ordered and Chris advised me that he should have the parts within a day or two. The next day he called to say the parts were in and he could come the following day to do the installation. He arrived as planned, showed me the locks and consulted again about the best placement. He then installed the locks on two file cabinets exactly as he had explained. The work took about an hour  and he did a great job! The locks are barely noticeable and work well. Chris was very neat, clean and professional and I could not be happier with his work. I would definitely hire him again if the need arises.

    Doctor Locksmith
Sean and I met at the property in Valencia, a long drive for each of us. We kept each other informed about the progress we were making because of the traffic. That was great. He did his work well. Unfortunately he did not have the replacement lock for the mailbox because it was a somewhat unusual lock. I paid him in full with the understanding that he would return with the new mailbox lock and switch it out for me. Once again we kept each other informed about traffic and estimated time of arrival. I had never done business with him before and I don't usually pay someone in full before the job is completed, but I took a chance with him and it paid off just fine. He seems to stress honesty and fairness. I will be doing business with Sean the Doctor Locksmith again when the need arises. I recommend you give him a try.

    Gil's Electrical Service Inc
I initially purchased a Big Deal for circuit breaker labeling which included an electrical inspection.
During the inspection they identified several outlets that needed to be replaced and informed me that our smoke detectors needed to be replaced as they were not hardwired into the house power. They said that according to code smoke detectors must be wired into the house power.  Our smoke detectors were battery operated only.  They also found a couple of air conditioning units that were wired improperly.  Although the cost seemed high, we agreed to the additional charges of approximately $2,900 and they performed all of the work in one day.
Yesterday, I attempted to shut the power off to my garage and found the circuit breakers they'd labeled "Garage" were not for the garage. I have no idea what they're for yet.  Through trial and error, I was eventually able to find the garage circuit breakers.  They were labeled "Powder Room" and "Dining Lights" by Gil's Electrical Service.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to rely on the labeling they performed...which is why I purchased the Big Deal in the first place.
