    Halihan Electric Co
If I could have given 0 stars, I would have. This guy, Leslie Halihan, decides to pull a no-show and not even call a potential customer to give them advance notice. I had to call him at our prearranged appointment time to find out if he was coming. I took time off of work to meet with him. Very unprofessional. When I called at the time of our appointment, he told me some sob story of how he wasn't going to do any work from a particular referral, "Michael with Small Job's are us". I tried to explain to him I didn't know the guy. I explained that I found Michael in my complex monthly newsletter. I told him I had no relations with Michael. He just referred me to Halihan Electric for an "electrical job". I understand a contractor can decide not to do a job at a whim, but a good business person communicates so said potential client can find another contractor. I'm really upset by this and at Leslie for not following through with his decision. I waited two weeks from our original conversation for the appointment. I could have spent that time finding a different contractor. yes, I probably should have anyway.

Jim was so helpful in designing the pantry. He understood exactly what I needed and created a perfect design that has made cooking so much less frustrating. I can find everything I need right away. His cabinet maker is amazing: his work was precise, fast and perfectly finished. If they use your garage space for woodworking, be sure to cover everything in sheet plastic to keep the fine dust out. I didn't have to wait long for the project to start and it was finished in the time he promised. I will hire Jim again for sure.

The job started out very well back on 9-11-18. The call before the job sounded promising as he said he would definitely find out what happened and make sure it gets fixed. He was early and very eager to get started the next morning! The power was out in my Kitchen, hallway and both my kids rooms. He was able to fix the power in my Kids rooms and my Kitchen pretty fast, however I am still without power in my hallway. After he said he was unable to locate the reason for the power outage in my Hallway he quickly grabbed his paperwork and was ready to receive his payment and be on his way. I was stunned! I kept insisting he stay and help figure out why the power wasn't working. This went on a few times as he was anxious to leave. Finally in desperation, I had asked him..".if we can't find the short we're looking for can't we just we rewire it???? He said yes but I can't do that today. Mind you I'm paying for a two hour minimum and it was just an hour into it if that. He said "just live with it for a few more days and call me back and I will rewire it for you then. Maybe there is a chance it will reset itself, if not call me." Soooooo in my mind....you mean so I can pay you for another two hour minimum for an hour's worth of work:( I waited to write this review to see if I felt the same way I did when he left my house that day and yes I still do. What happened to "we will fix whatever the problem is"? I felt cheated! I felt disbelief for days and I still do. I felt like I was the only one determined to fix this issue. I am still without power in my hallway. I have no desire to hire him back.

    M&M Construction & Home Design
About a few months ago Eli and his team did a complete kitchen renovation for us, so once that was complete we decided to renovate the rest of the main floor, excluding the family room. We had no hesitation in calling Eli to come in and do this job for us. He started right on the scheduled date and finished exactly when he said he would. The work was done exactly as we wanted it with a very professional result. The stucco removal from all the ceilings and installation of crown moulding really brought the house up to date and gave it a more modern feel. I would not hesitate to work with Eli again. They are very good workers with a professional attitude and ability. It was a pleasure to have them complete the work for us and I would certainly use them again in the future.

    Arrow Electric
I cannot say enough about how great our experience was. They were early both times they came out, first for the estimate and then again to do the work. Matt explained everything and answered all my questions. I would recommend Arrow to anyone. Norma kept us updated almost every day while waiting for PG&E to confirm the date that work could be done.

    MAUS ELECTRIC
It went great.  They met the tenant to get access to the house, found and fixed the issue, and called me to give the details.  I was very happy that Laurie went above and beyond expectations by calling the tenant beforehand to try and avoid the service call.

    MAUS ELECTRIC
Went well. They did a good job. Very efficient, prompt, courteous, very friendly and reassuring. We feel safer now after the work was done. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs electrical work done. They repaired damages caused by we believe another electric company (also from Angie's List).

    Lowes Electric
First off, this is hard to rate because the initial work Lowes did was incomplete and Lowes had to come again to finish the work. They came out again to finish the work and have the inspector sign off on the work. Inspector found a problem with the circuit breaker and instructed me to contact Lowes again to come out and look at the breaker and make any necessary repairs. I was told by Lowes that when he was in the area, he would stop by and look at the breaker. Despite our calls, Lowes never returned.
We had a serious problem with the breaker and luckily the house did not catch on fire because we were home and were able to turn off the main breaker. I tried numerous times to contact Lowes and have them come out on an urgent basis for this. Finally, his assistant came out to look at the damage that was done and I was told the owner would contact me to discuss this matter. Lowes finally called and the owner told me that it would cost between $2,000 and $2,500, if he could not find parts and would have to change everything over, and because I was a customer, he would give me a discount. I felt that we should not have to pay for this because I complained about the breaker from the initial installation and Lowes did not follow up on my complaint and I am very fortunate we were home when this happened.
Thus, I went with another electrical company (also from Angie's List) because they gave a reasonable price ($292) as opposed to the $2,000+ that Lowes wanted to charge and the second company completed the work promptly and efficiently.

    MAUS ELECTRIC
We are remodeling our kitchen and hired Maus Electric for two jobs. First to move a telephone line that was horribly tangled, and install a new CAT-5 network cable from our first to second story. They were fast and efficient because they knew what they were doing. It's a family business too.

We called them back for a second job - to install a 220 line for a new oven. They moved an unused hot tub line (220) under our house to our kitchen for the oven, saving us a bundle because we didn't have to install a new line, and because they were so fast. It took only an hour to get it set up. I joked with Rod Maus (pronounced MOSS) that they were cheating themselves out of money by working so fast. Not only that, they fixed and cleaned up our electrical sub panel which had some water damage that was corroding the main line. I REALLY appreciate how thorough they were bringing to our attention things that could be a problem.
