  • The girls are so funny, nice and kind. The don't get upset when you tell them how you want your nails as others do. They all speak Spanish and take their time with their clients. They speak to you as if you were family, very comfortable place.

  • Aloha Nails & Spa specialize in gel nails, they do a really good job, and the nails last about four to five weeks. They are really friendly, really accommodating as far as scheduling, and it's a nice experience.

  • I was new to the neighborhood and was in serch of a new nail shop.  I found Loann's and had been going to this shop for a couple of months.  On my second to last visit, an African-American lady came in and asked for a quote to get a fill.  All of the workers were lounging in the massage chairs playing games on cell phones.  The owner put down her cell phone game and looked over her reading glasses at the lady and in a very disinterested tone, told her the price.  The African-American lady said that was a high price, and left.  She then came back to the door and said, "I may be mistaken, but maybe your prices are the reason why your shop is empty of customers."  She then walked away from the store.  All of the workers in the shop then began to speak in their language and it was obvious they were speaking about the lady.  The owner made a statement about people wanting quality work done but not wanting to pay for it.  I thought this should have been the end of the issue as there were two customers still getting nails done at the time.  The workers continued to talk about the lady and made jokes in their language the entire hour I was there getting my nails done. The few words I could decipher from their tirade was very demeaning and rude towards people of color.
I was in a pinch to get a fill about a month later and I was forced to return to this same shop since no one else in the area does this type of process called "solar".  My usual helper was on vacation, and her sister-in-law convinced me she could do the job.  She told me I needed to take off the old set and reapply all new product.  She began to hack off the nails by sliding a thin fake plastic nail between the solar covering and my nail beds.  I asked if ther was a less painful way to take them off, and was told that they were closing soon so they can not soak them off.  She said, "Next time you come earlier."  I was in desperate need to get them done, so I continued to sit thru the torture.  Another lady came and grabbed my other hand and began to hack away also.  She broke my nail so low down to the nail bed, that I started to bleed.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service and experience there.  I will NEVER go back and do NOT recommend it to anyone.

  • Gladys does my nails and she is the best. She is meticulous, she really does excellent work, and uses the highest quality products. (Unlike some of the mall salons.) I get Pedicures too, and I am considering checking out some of the other spa services that Ivy offers. It's a lovely, calming atmosphere. I really enjoy my appointments there.

  • Salon employees are friendly and are usually able to work me in quickly without an appointment. The pedicure massage chairs are wonderful! Some employees are a little better than others, but generally they all provide high quality pedicures. Some employees aggressively push additional services, which is a bit annoying. Overall, I am happy with their service and continue to patronize them.

  • The process while complicated went very well. They sent out the kit prior to my training so I could practice the technique on false lashes prior to my training date. The course was very detailed and intensive. I had attended some other trainings from other leading companies which were not near as comprehensive as this course. Another part of the training I was pleased with, is that they asked me to provide my own model for the hands on part of the certification. The other company I had dealt with required me to be a model for another student which made me uncomfortable. I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Lavish Lashes.
    - Tim D.
  • I think they are great. I think they are in every way, for instance, I got a pedicure and I bumped it so the manicurist took the whole nail off and did it over again.
