    Lifestream Home Care
We found the facility well run and attentive. The nurse practitioner was on duty and the ratio between patients and care providers was 1 to 3 (a very good ratio) at the Sunnybrook Circle house. The nurse practitioner was very patient, soft spoken, and multi-lingual. He was physically capable of lifting patients to do their daily routines...which is another good thing to consider. The facility had ADA compliant rooms and had a maximum capacity of 6 residents with a mix of shared and private rooms available. The neighborhood is quiet and well-kept. We were very satisfied about their openness and transparency, even arriving unannounced to visit my father on many occasions.

    VITAS Healthcare
My 87 Year old Mother was put into Hospice care after she contracted several infections that were not curable. In addition to having the infections my Mother suffered from Late State Alzheimer's Disease. I have nothing but good things to say about the people that we worked with at Vitas. From the administrative staff to the nurses and healthcare staff they were all superb. I can not even think of a thing that I could have asked for that was not already provided. The nurses were kind, and gentle and extremely thoughtful. They kept my Mother clean and comfortable at all times, it was nothing short of amazing. No one could have done a better job. My siblings and I were so thankful for all their help and support.

    Hospice Care of the West
Everytime my father was referred to hospice they were there. There was always somone on the other end of the phone when we called 24/7. They never hesitated to send people out. They provide a whole resource service for additional needs. They offerered ministry care. They offered the physical care for my father. They called people for us when my father passed. They went above and beyond. They communicated very well between all of the family members.

Hospice of Dayton Inc were fantastic. They were all so very quiet. They were prompt, caring and very supportive in interacting with me and encouraging me to get help whenever I need it. They couldn't do better.

They were recommended to me and they were the best out of the other two that I had looked at. They started coming out a couple of times a week, but towards the end for the last four days, they were here twenty four hours a day. They made my father's last days very nice, they were very caring and I was very glad they were there and they did a great job. They punctuality was not too good because they did miss a few things and one of the doctor from the agreement was late in coming out. I rate them highly. I would use them again in the future if needed.

    Lifestream Home Care
They were pretty cool. They were really patient and the guy who was taking care of the place was great. He did a lot of care. The primary nurse made sure everybody had a lot of time to move around the house. He would wheelchair people out to the patio to get some sun. He made home cooked meals for everybody, which I thought, was a really nice touch. He was very patient and had a gentle manner. I really liked dealing with him. My dad needed a lot of care and he was in a significant amount of pain. The person taking care of him needed a lot of patience because he was unable to move and he had to be moved every 5-10 minutes. They provided all that so they were very helpful. We used them for the hospice but it is also a nursing home. A social worker had recommended them to us and I thought it was a great call. They had the option of having a private room or a shared room. They have 4 bedrooms and have a maximum capacity for 6 patients so it was nice and small. They have two full time caretakers so the ratio was 3:1 so I thought it was small enough to work. We were able to get him in quickly because they had two vacancies at the time. The facility was newly renovated so we didn’t have any concerns about it meeting codes. It was clean. It was a converted house and it felt more like a home instead of a hospital, which was nice. They were onsite all the time. He had a doorbell buzzer to alert the staff if he needed any extra help. They had satellite TV and my dad never had cable before so he was overwhelmed by the number of stations. My dad seemed like he was in good spirits but he had a hard time articulating things. We only wrote one check and they didn’t commit us to a long-term relationship and they prorated the bill. We had visited 3 or 4 home care places and none of them were as nice as these guys. I think these guys were the best.

You have to be a Kaiser member to use that part of the hospital. It was very, very good. They're very caring people. They come out whenever you need them even if you just need to talk to somebody. It made a very difficult situation bearable because you have other adults to talk to. They're very sympathetic. When it's terminal and it's just a waiting game, it can drive you nuts. I will use them again because I would not be afraid to use any hospice service. I think that's a wonderful thing.
