AFox's DraperiesI called the owner/operator, Jon Fox of Fox's Draperies to schedule an appointment to repair or replace the overhead rail track that broke over the weekend. The track was 10 years old so Jon recommended that I replace it. He had the part I needed in stock and scheduled an appointment the same day! Frank arrived on time and quickly took down the track and drapes and replaced it with a new track with a hand wand verses draw string opening mechanism. Parts and labor came to a very reasonable $175. Excellent customer service and quality job!!- David F J.

AFuture View Window FashionsArranged to request a quote at Sacramento Home & Garden Expo after very clear-eyed conversation with Daniel. Sommer from the company came to our home, listened and provided good suggestions and a detailed quote that beat the competition and offered all US-made products. Installation with Daniel and Tim was timely but very meticulous. Daniel even noticed a flaw in one of the shutters (that, quite frankly, we would never have caught) and ordered a replacement immediately. The estimator (Patti) gave us very sound advice on the best R-value window covering for our second floor west facing windows, was knowledgeable, punctual, and had great follow up. Install was perfect of a very nice product and the end result is that the room was three to four degrees cooler than normal even in this latest extreme heat wave (the week of the 105 temps and higher). And the room is much cooler in lesser heat as well. Hall's price beat the competition (another highly rated and often reviewed Angie's list contractor) by a good measure - so it is definitely worth getting multiple quotes and Hall's is really a winning company. Everyone at this company from the estimator/salesperson to the installer were first class people to deal with - could not be more pleased!- Edwin S.

AFantastic, I could not recommend this company more, Lon was very attentive to what I was saying during our walk through so he could find the right solution to our problem. We replaced approx 30% of the T-11 siding on my house in Antelope, replaced all the trim affected by dry rot and replaced the windows/slider. As they were sealing the new windows we could already tell the difference in the noise and how warm the sun felt through the glass. Brian was the lead installer for the windows and Ken for the siding project and they extremely knowledgeable and were fine with working around our 3 big dogs who had to go outside for bathroom breaks.

AHawkins has now done two whole-house window replacements for us. This second home is a one-of-a-kind designed Mid-Century Modern classic home, and we have been very fussy about how the windows needed to look in order to retain the essential look and style of the old window styles. Hawkins has been able to provide us with really spectacular replacements. Gary Hawkins, the owner, came personally to look at our home and listen to our concerns, and then was able to select the precise windows we asked for. We find them to be reasonably priced and responsive to concerns. Since they have done multiple jobs for us, we know they do a great job of keeping their customers happy and also hit the "budget-friendly" button, too! This project includes replacing 3 sliding glass doors, (one which is 10 feet wide), 18 windows, (3 of which are 8+ feet wide picture windows), 4 floor-to-ceiling fixed tempered windows, and 3 specialty reeded glass windows.

AWe went in not knowing what we wanted. Steve was very helpful with product choices. He came out to measure and made recommendations. He gave us an estimate and when we weren't quite ready to fund the project he said he would keep our information. Sure enough 1 year later we contacted him and he still had our original estimate with all of the products we wanted. Once the project was started, Dimitri and his son were amazing and put in very long days until the job was done. They were very meticulous and did an outstanding job. We will definitely go back for our next flooring project.
