DI called and spoke with someone before the Thanksgiving holiday, and was assured I would hear back from them. I heard not a peep until they finally called back on Jan. 14! Ridiculous. Don't bother with this outfit. Not serious.

ADorothy helped me navigate the personal health care market in order to select health care and dental coverage that fit my budget and was accepted by my current doctor. She is very knowledgeable and does a great job of thoroughly explaining to you what is available. I have always had healthcare through my employer; however, this changed when I decided to go back to school. Searching on my own was overwhelming and I couldn't find a plan within a remotely reasonable budget. Dorothy made the process so easy. She scheduled the phone consultation to select the plan. During this consult, she explained what is available and we discussed my current doctors, my budget, and other health care specifics that were important to me. After enrolling in the health care plan, I informed Dorothy I wanted dental insurance and I had a very specific question that I wanted answered about orthodontia. Dorothy set another apppointment time about a week later. She took the time to research my question and called back for our second phone call. The question would have limited my options so I appreciated that she took the time to research and answer the question, as well as set aside extra time to discuss dental options so I didn't feel rushed. There is no way I would have known to select what I ended up with without her expertise. I didn't even know my type of plan existed until using Dorothy's services. I am very happy with the price of the plans we chose but also because the health care plan will not require Dr. referrals. I plan on using her services again for myself in the future and I also highly recommend her to anyone looking for health care. Even if you think you feel comfortable choosing on your own, Dorothy will provide you options to save money and has personal knowledge of the companies offering health care from her many years working within this industry. She also knows which ones are easy to deal with. It put me at ease when Dorothy said the health care I chose had a responsive team. I am so much happier that I decided to use her services because I probably would have put off the task of getting healthcare for another year.

DAfter being insured for 5 months, we took our healthy pet to the vet. We rescued our dog and he was a bit overweight at first but lost about 20 pounds due to healthy diet and exercise. Our previous pet had some issues with pain as he got older so we knew there was a minor pain reliever we could give our dog if he played too hard. We asked the vet to give us a prescription for it. The vet gave our dog a clean bill of health. We were there to update his shots. Embrace declared his muscle soreness a pre-existing condition and would not cover any orthopedic issues. Basically we asked for Alleve for muscle soreness after a workout and were told that in Jenna Mahan, Director of Claims, interpretation of our policy, it was abnormal and would be exclusionary. As is typical of insurance, they want your money, but don't want to pay when you make a claim. Our vet wrote a letter stating that our pet was orthopedically sound. Jenna Mahan, ex- vet-tech, decided our vet's 8 years of schooling and 35 years of being a career vet wasn't good enough.

F@UHC Called Customer Service (sic) 855-873-3268. Worst "customer service" experience of my life. 26 minutes on hold. 1st spoke unintelligibly. 2nd "advocate" (sic) had a terrible attitude. Terse & hostile. Do NOT sign up UHC Medicare Advantage. Customer service is the WORST!

They made it super easy for me so I didn't have to fill out a lot of forms and waste a lot of time. They kept in touch with me on the dates that they said they would. Fortunately for me, I got a job immediately with benefits and didn't need the insurance after all. They were very gracious about it and didn't make a fuss or make me feel guilty. AKaiser Permanente InsuranceI have full coverage with them. My doctor for 20 years is with them. They found cancer in one of my lungs and in November I had surgery. I had a cough and said he hasn't seen me in a while so he asked me to go in for a checkup to make sure everything is OK. When I went in he suggested an X-Ray for my cough, so they did it that day and they found a spot in the X-Ray and in October I was seeing all kinds of doctors who were checking me out and then they discovered I had cancer. They did surgery on the first of November and they took 2/3rds of my lung, I did chemotherapy an everything was done. Just recently I had another CT scan and everything has cleared up. I'm surprised that kaiser saved me because they are known for being nonchalant and I've been really lucky with them.- Margaret H.

AAARP Medicare PlansI had done a lot of research on medigap insurance and part d for prescriptions. I talked with a number in brokers and agents and then decided to go with AARP/United Health Plan F (medigap/supplement) and dealt directly with their contact phone number. The agent walked me through the online application. Within a week I received approval and a copy of the plan and the online application. Very easy to do. This can be done on the phone or online. I actually did the Plan D online. The Medigap plan can also be done online. But I appreciated dealing with a person who could answer questions and guide me through the process.- Gary A.
