• Provider name locked. was great to work with, and I have total confidence in his abilities to identify and communicate major and minor defects in a home of any type and age. I would recommend him for an inspection prior to purchasing a home, or to a homeowner who would like an expert to review the safety and functionality of his/her home and systems.
  Provider name locked. inspected a home built in the 1830s. He started on the roof and worked his way down to the basement/crawl space and then inside.  At each location he provided a running narrative of what he observed- both positive and negative. He explained terminology as needed and was always able to support his findings with explanations that were easy to understand. He focused on the materials used and their functionality in a specific location over time.  He took pictures which he used to illustrate his findings both during the inspection and in the report.  Provider name locked. spent a little more than 7 hours at the inspection site. He was very thorough in completing the inspection.
  Provider name locked. completed the inspection on a Friday. We had the report with his findings on Sunday. The report was easy to read and color coded to address the urgency of action needed to correct a defect or maintain a system for safety, function, energy efficiency, or longevity. He was able to provide suggested maintenance, but also encouraged us to seek other experts (chimney sweeps, masons, septic installers, plumbers) as needed in order to get appropriate quotes and services.

He carefully went over every part of the house, made sure we understood the issues and what were serious issues that would require a specialist. Provider name locked. is clearly a very experienced inspector, and I will absolutely use his services again in the future!
  With regards to the inspection report, Provider name locked. provided us the completed report the same night that he conducted the inspection. The report was just as thorough and helpful as he was in person. It is a document that I will be using to plan out our home repairs / upgrades, so well worth the money.
