    I had Cosentino do some work for me when I first bought my house a few years back, and was very happy with him then, so when I had several small repairs (broken door knob, broken gate latch, etc) and some art I needed hung, I called him again, and am glad I did. He took care of everything quickly and well, including fixing a gate latch that other people had tried unsuccessfully to fix before. He also suggested an alternative to one task that would save me money. I definitely plan on hiring him again for repairs and handywork.

    We expected two persons, one for each area. Dinh himself arrived alone.We requested the kitchen job first. He didn't like the color and type caulk we provided (he supplied none), so we had to provide a different type and color.He spent the hole day at the kitchen. He returned the following day to do the shower. Again the caulk had to be replaced. The shower also required pretty much the whole day. We are still spending odd times removing overcover on the kitchen sink (a job!). The shower is far less objected. His charge was $200; we did not argue.

    The mailboxes were installed quickly and efficiently using owner provided mailboxes and existing mailbox posts; the cost to do this was very reasonable; the second and more significant project was that of replacing parts of the my front porch which were affected by dry rot.  The Troy tore out those boards and discovered more dry rot which required a total rebuild.  He showed me why this had to be done and we agreed to expand the original job.

    He did what I thought was an excellent job of measuring and assessing what was needed so that I could shop for the materials in an informed manner. 

    There was one glitch in the staining/sealing of the wood but that was primarily because I had selected a product that he did not recommend.  He returned to refinish and re-seal the porch.

    The third project (driveway asphalt sealing) was done in a satisfactory manner; I experienced no issues with it. Regarding the shoring of the fence, I decided to defer this project until I could make a decision on whether to replace or to repair the fence.

    Troy worked tirelessly and long hours on this project; he explained everything to me so there were no surprises.  He was punctual and texted or called me when he thought he might not be able to arrive on time.  Troy took pride in his work and did everything to ensure perfection.  .

    He showed up on Monday 05/03/2015 and started sanding the cabinets.  The following day he came back out but told me he had to leave because his machine had broken.  The following day I was waiting for him at 7am, he didn't show up but he called at 6:55am and advised that his dog had been sick and he had been up all night and stated he wouldn't be able to make our scheduled appointment. He showed up on Wednesday and painted the cabinets.  He sat the cabinet doors outside where they collected dust and flying debris.  I was very unhappy with the outcome and when I told him about how unhappy I was he said he couldn't help it and stated there was no other place to put them to dry.  I told him that he should've asked me because I would have found or created a place to put them to dry where they would not have collected dust. He did not offer to come back and fix my cabinet doors.

    Some years ago I installed hanging rods and shelving in my closet. Last week it broke away from the wall. Clothes in a heap. Major goof was I put load bearing attachments into drywall instead of studs.
    Alberto arrived promptly at 9:30AM as promised. Working in a small, hot bathroom, he removed all the pieces, patched the walls, went to two Home Depots and an Orchard Supply to find replacements for the pieces that were bent beyond saving. He must have gone out to his truck two dozen times to get different tools. He worked hard and obviously new exactly what he was doing. When he was finished he did a chin-up on the new bar! He put all hardware directly into the studs in the wall. It's not coming down again. I am very pleased with the result. I also took the opportunity to donate more than half the clothes to Goodwill. It's amazing how much we put in and how little we remove over 30 years!

    I spoke with Norm on the phone with a concern about a rental property - and thought we decided not to use his services right away, he was VERY helpful and provided three references for vendors that would be more appropriate. VERY professional and helped me out a lot!

    Just before moving into our new home we wanted to take off the pop ceiling+paint+texture and also install recess lights. Once the job was assigned, for the first two days only 2 people showed up to work. Because of this they had to speed up and then eventually overcharged by almost 35-40% just because they had to make their workers do overtime to meet the deadline (there was also a minor change in scope which shouldn���t have impacted the timeline had they started with more folks on Day 1 itself).
    It���s a family run business but unfortunately none of them agree or communicate well enough with each other and thus the customer bears the brunt. Example of this was: the job was not completed on the last day and no one followed up for 5 days and all of sudden I see an invoice for completed work! When I spoke to Michelle (front desk manager), she said Eric (onsite coordinator) did not communicate that all this was pending. But Eric says that Michelle knew about it but still did not contact. You leave texture all over the crown moldings, all switch outlets exposed and misplace the fire alarm and don���t bother to wrap up or even follow up? Eric says he never agreed (to Skip ��� estimator) in the first place to complete the work within the time Skip promised me. There is just a plethora of confusions, communication gaps and disagreements here that we as customer have to navigate through.
    It���s been over 3 months since and
    A.They have still not completed the work. I had to install the switch plates to prevent mishap. The installed switches are all misaligned so the plates don���t fit correctly.
    B.The work that was done is coming off already. The ceiling paint is already peeling off in places.
    C.They refuse to provide justification on the additional charges. They say it���s a family business but the owner Skip, apart from giving the initial estimate, has been elusive and not reachable even after multiple attempts. All this for the pride of having a family business?
    I really don't see any positives that I would remotely want to recommend them.

    Alberto put on a second door on my outside utility shed to provide easy access to the water heater.  He took out the old water heater and replaced it with a new one.  He was sensitive to the cost of a new one and purchased a mid-level one that had a good warranty but didn?t cost an arm and a leg.  I live in an older house and he noticed that some of the paint had come off and there were cracks between some of the boards.   He removed the paint, put caulking in to cover the spaces between the boards,  primed and painted it.  The color of the paint blended perfectly with the older paint.  It was a seamless match.  And finally, Alberto replaced the external light for the driveway.   He has multiple skills and it was a real convenience to not have to hire multiple contractors to get all these jobs done.  He does quality work.   I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
