    Coming here was the worst mistake of my life. If you value your eyesight, do not come here. I had a procedure with Dr. Lingmin He and it caused my eyesight to worsen to the point where I couldn't see at all out of that eye. I now may have irreversible vision loss. She seemed unconcerned when I called her. She was abrupt, argumentative, defensive and curt. She sounded bothered that I even called. She should have told me to go to the emergency room based on my symptoms. I just felt that she didn't care at all and seemed inconvenienced. She never gave me written after-care instructions after my procedure and the verbal instructions she gave me were incorrect based on my meetings with other Retina Specialists. She is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever encountered and I wish I could turn back time and never had gone there. Please don't make the same mistake that I did.

    The appointment process was smooth and the phone staff (Rachel) was friendly and professional. The office and exam rooms all appeared very clean, well organized and had the most up-to-date equipment. My scheduled appointment was on time and started with one of the eye technicians, unfortunately I don't recall her name (Sam, Alex?) but she was very patient as I am a "very good" blinker. After the eye tests I met with Dr Johnson, he is very easy to talk to, answered all my questions about improving my eyesight from nutrition, supplements, alternative therapies to surgical options. Dr Johnson is not an ophthalmic surgeon but he did offer to provide referrals to well known surgeons in the area. Overall, I was very impressed by his chair side manner and plan to make him my "go to doc" for all things eye-related.

    Since I decided to try contacts (daily disposables) I worked with Ashley, she was thorough in explaining how to insert the contacts and extremely patient and very encouraging as I tried the techniques she showed me.  I have not filled my eyeglass prescription yet so I can't comment on that area of the office practice.  The office did give me hardcopy prescriptions for both the contacts and glasses so I have the option of having them filled elsewhere.

    I don't have eye care insurance, but found the exam pricing (with the discounts offered) to be comparable to other area offices I called. The office offers a substantial discount for buying a year's worth of the contacts which I will most likely use after my trial packages are finished.

    Silicon Valley Eye Physicians
    They are excellent. They also have a business associated with them that sells eye glasses and they fill the eye glass and contact prescriptions. They are very responsive. If I have a problem, they will come in on off hours to see me. Everybody that works there is very friendly and helpful, including the ophthalmologists. The glasses place is next door in the same building and I've worked with them for years. They've had the same people there for years and they are very knowledgeable and helpful about their products.

    Dr Hong was nice, professional, and very good about getting me the right contacts. Even when one started causing problems, she worked with me to get the right ones with the right prescription, the right fit, etc.
    The one gripe I have is with her contact lens ordering staff. TERRIBLE. Don't return calls, don't apologize for that, call you to come in when you already have an appt to get them fitted, when they finally do call, they don't have your info handy and waste your time, etc, etc. I could go on and on. Very disrespectful orf your time and inefficient. Ugh. If I didn't like Dr Hong so much, I'd change, but for now, I'll suffer through it.

    I called Vision Care Specialist on Wednesday and asked for Friday appoint. I was told everything was pretty much booked. But the lady tried to squeeze me in for Friday afternoon appointment after I told her I would go on vacation soon.
    I arrived on time and was greeted by the staff member. I waited for 5 minutes, Dr. John saw me. It took him 45 minutes to check my eye. During the exam, he tried a lot different lens to make sure he got the best fit for me. He also gave me suggestions for how to protect my eye. As an IT professional who works in front of the computer all the time, this is very helpful. He is very nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend him.

    He is very thorough and gives you all the information you need to make a decision.  The outcome of the surgery was great. His assistant is very helpful and knowledgeable. I do not care for the office environment as it is very open and very easy to hear people's personal information but I am very pleased with my care.

    The first visit produced an analysis and clear explanation of what options were reasonable post-surgery which turned out to be a single multi-focal one-month contact lens having three-nodes at 21, 59 and infinity. At that time he suspected a case of dry eye which at the next appointment was verified. A semi-invasive treatment was deferred while drops were evaluated - which is in process.

    Their prices are good and I've had good luck with the person that does the measuring of the eyes. Daniel is the hearing aid consultant and he did a good job. This was my first time getting the hearing aids. They fit and I can hear better. I've always been able to get an appointment immediately or the next day. It takes about two weeks to get the glasses. The patient has to be careful to distinguish which setting is the best for you and gives you the best reading. There is a standard routine for the hearing aid. Both of the technicians were well trained. If the patient is reasonable the results will be good. It is harder to get follow up appointments for the hearing aids. There is a sequence of 3 follow up appointments. I���ve used them several times for glasses and this was my first hearing aid fitting. They have all been satisfactory.

    She ran me through the normal glaucoma testing, then tested my vision with multiple lenses and targets until she thought she had the vision field mapped. Wrote my prescription, and I was out of there.

    I started using Costco to get my glasses because it is cheaper. They are okay. The first time I picked up the glasses they didn't quite fit right so the associate took them back and adjusted them for me. They are not very punctual, but it was cheaper so I'll use them again.
