    Universal Hearing Care
Very well. The first hearing aid just would not fit correctly--too tight, or too loose and falling out. But Lisa persisted and finally worked out a way to make it fit perfectly. Since then (about 5 years ago), I've bought two upgrades and have been very happy with them. Lisa and her staff are warm and friendly, but very professional. They really know what they're doing. The hearing aids I've bought from them have really made a difference for me. I've been enjoying 'stereo' hearing for the first time in many years!

    Second Chance Hearing
I had been to two other local audiology offices over the past several years. The type of the hearing aid I was sold at the first office (Starkey CIC) could only be adjusted by a limited number of audiologists. The second office didn't provide good customer service for the two (Starkey CIC)  hearing aids I purchased when one of the hearing aids needed repair (hole in hearing aid) and I was told it didn't matter.  When I saw Dr. Burks at Second Chance Hearing, Inc. she checked my hearing aids including the one that needed repair. She sent the damaged hearing aid for repair hoping the repair would make an improvement in my hearing. Inasmuch as the repaired hearing aid did not improve my hearing, Dr. Burks evaluated my hearing loss and recommended a different type and brand of hearing aids. I purchased two new (BTE ReSound) hearing aids and I have had several visits on education for these particular hearing aids and to ensure proper fit and adjustment of the hearing aids. I am pleased to say that I am hearing better. Dr. Burks is highlyknowledgeable and professional and a pleasure to work with. The office staff is very pleasant.

    Hearx Pasadena
When I go in they test my hearing and I purchase my hearing aids through them. They do an excellent job of evaluating my condition. They give me access to their calibrating the hearing aids. If I ever have a problem I can always bring my hearing aids right back in and they will take care of the problem. Everyone in the office is very nice and friendly.

    Hear Clear Hearing Aids
I shopped around for hearing aids for my 86-year old mother.  Found quite a range in prices -- some between  $1,500 and $2,000 more per pair for essentially the same aids that we settled on at Hear Clear. Iris Stone, the audiologist, was wonderful to deal with.  She explained everything very clearly so that my mother could understand the pros and cons of the various aids.  She was very pleasant, patient, and thorough.  We never felt rushed.  Even though we brought hearing test results done at another facility, Iris insisted on testing again -- to be sure that all was correct.  No extra charge for the testing. We had to go back a few times to get the proper fitting -- but that was all included in the price.  And future visits are included as well. Office staff was very helpful, too.  Brought a wheelchair down to the parking lot to bring my mother to the office.  Accommodating to get appointments. Very good experience overall and would not hesitate to recommend!

    Burbank Hearing Clinic
I have referred people to them before.  They are honest.  It seems to be a small mom and pop place, although it is modern.  It's like a factory assembly place.  They are very professional.  Their knowledge is great.  I think their prices are reasonable.  They are very nice people.  I would tell people to go there because they would take good care of them.  I would grade them down one notch on customer service because they didn't call me back a couple of times.

    Fidelity Hearing Center
Dr. DeKriek at Fidelity Hearing Center is very patient, very thorough, detail oriented, kind, and has a great bedside manner. The receptionist is wonderful too. They are warm, friendly, and professional. I think Dr. K would be good for anybody, and he seems especially well suited to work with older people.  He takes his time and does not rush them, which is nice. Worth noting: we got the Starkey "in-the-ear-canal" super small model.  Once inserted properly, it's virtually invisible which was an important aspect to Mom. Mom has a very small ear canal, and when we first tried her new hearing aids, they didn't seem to fit correctly. We thought we'd have to chose another more visible model, but Dr. DeKriek tried a little known technique of adding a special fitting to them, and this retrofit made them PERFECT!  Since they can now be inserted properly, they fit like a charm and don't come out. So if you've been told you have too small an ear canal to wear this type of hearing aid, ask Dr. K if he can make them work for you! Lastly, it is amazing to see all the new technology that has dramatically improved the whole hearing aid experience.  Gone are the days of those clunky hard-to-wear  / easy-to-detect models.  Todays hearing aids are so much more advanced than what most folks think of. If you are at all considering hearing aids, do yourself a favor and visit Dr. K for a consultation.

Overall my impression was very good from the front office to Troy the assistant. Troy, by the way, is a standard poodle who is trained to carry paperwork and such to the front and back offices. I will be using Mary for my hearing aid needs from now on.
