Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Redondo Beach

    G & G Garage Door Co
Contacted G&G and they promised to send a technician between 2-4pm. The technician called me before arriving and diagnosed the problem (a broken coupler) in a few minutes. He checked with co-workers to see if they had the part (since he did not have it in his truck), met with one (instead of returning to the office and spending more time), quickly installed the part, and performed the annual maintenance. The garage door opens again and I was very satisfied with their work.

    Mesa Garage Doors
I called and left a message because I have used Mesa many times. This time, after waiting two hours for a call back, I finally call again. Sorry, I'm told. We can't help you for two days. I won't use them again. Who knows how long I would have had to wait to hear from them again. Meanwhile, my vehicle is stuck in the garage...

    Prestige Overhead Doors
After coming to the house, I was quoted a price from Prestige that I compared to other companies. Although not the lowest price, I selected Prestige based on providing the best value. After telling Prestige that I selected them for the job, they told me that they left off the sales tax, and that the price would be increased by $266. Although I still hired them, I consider this misrepresentation of their actual price to be deceptive and unprofessional. Next, in a 28 Feb email, they told me that the estimated delivery date for the door was 26 March, and that "I will be in touch a few days prior for installation time and date." However, I didn't hear from them before 26 March, so I called them on 27 March to see if the door had been delivered. They not only said that it was delivered, but said that they had coordinated the install date with us for 31 March, a Saturday. This was the first time that my wife and I heard of the install date. They claimed that the install date was in the 28 Feb email, but that email only mentioned the estim1ated delivery date. Fortunately, the actual installation of the garage door itself went smoothly, the installers were competent, and it appears to be a quality door.

Best Garage Door Service in the area no doubt! Youre in great hands with Ronnie, he is knowledgeable, friendly, and very honest. At no point did he try to up-sell me on any parts or services, and offered me only the things that I needed. On top of everything he has the most affordable prices out of everyone that I reached out to and he was done in no less than 30 minutes! Thanks for everything Ronnie!

    A-1 Garage Door Service
They did it quickly; I called on the first and it was done on the 2nd. I could not be happier. I am so amazed. Price was okay. I didn't do much pricing because I knew I would be satisfied, but I thought the price was fair for the full unit, tracks, etc. I have no complaints, they were wonderful.

didn't return first phone call. second time made appt. and was on time to appointment. admittedly the price was not very much but the evaluations indicated in the offering did not happen. gave a quick look in the attic from ladder but never actually went I to the attic or around the house, air con. or anything else. just gave a verbal estimate, no alternatives and no heat/cool loss checking. for the fee Iall I got was someone to look in my attic from a small ladder....

    Sears Garage Doors
Very trustworthy and fixed the problem with my garage door (intermittently getting stuck). Also fixed something else without extra charge. They did have to postpone an initial appointment with me but it was for an understandable reason.

These guys were the first I called and their guy came round within the hour. He had the parts in the truck and replaced both springs and one hinge which was slightly cracked. A good job, but they charge high for the parts and looking at the average price for this sort of repair on Angie's List today, the cost was on the high end. Having said that, it was done very quickly and well and the alternative was to be locked out of our garage for days while we shopped around and saved a few bucks.

They did a great job. The guy who came out was very nice. He took care of everything I needed and he did a great job. They called me 30 minutes ahead of time and he arrived. He came to me and explained to me what I needed.

    G & G Garage Door Co
The two guys who came over were right on time with the scheduled appointment.  The seemed nice enough, but not very talkative or smiley.  They brought out some hardware from the truck and looked it over.  A call had to be made to see if this size was in fact approved for use on my door.  It was, so they began the job.
When I set up the appointment, the girl said the job should take about an hour.  Well, after two hours, they were still at it.  I found out that one guy was with the company for 9 months, and the other guy for only 6 weeks (I believe it was).  The one with seniority  had done only 5 or 6 of this type of door, ever.   The hardware went on okay.  They were having trouble adjusting the door's action when engaged by the opener.
My cousin came by to visit and noticed that one of the brackets was rather close to the edge of the door and the other side was not the same way.  He told me this inside my house.  He said it probably won't work very well that way.
After almost another hour, the guys told me, "Well, there's some good news and some bad news."
The door was on and working, but not working well.  It scraped the sides as it opened/closed.  They would have to make another appointment later next week to come fix the problem.
My cousin came outside and mentioned what he'd seen about the bracket placement.  They said, "Hmmmm."  Cousin told them that if they moved the bracket slightly, it would probably work well enough and they woiuldn't need to return.  The guys did this and they did one more adjustment my cousin suggested and the door worked fine.
The guys didn't want to stay and work on it, at first, because they were already two calls behind (and it was close to 4:30 PM).  But they did.
They *did* have to come back the following week to patch holes that were drilled from the inside through to the outside of the door.  (I guess this happens periodically.)
All went well, because I wasn't on a tight time frame.  I wonder why a master technician wasn't assigned to this job?  At least ONE of the two guys should've been experienced for this type of door.
I asked my cousin how he happened to know about the garage door.   He told me he had to work on his own garage door once or twice in the past.  ("Once or twice"!!!)  Then again, he is rather a genius.    : )
