    California Construction Center
We had our old carpets and Pergo floors removed and replaced with tile. We ran into some issue with floating the concrete floors that extended the project. Jon vas very responsive and took of everything. They had to repour sections to creat a slope to accomodare our appliances. The end product looks great. Happy with our floors.

Jose provided a competitive quote and was very flexible in finalizing the design, providing examples and making changes as requested. The quality of the work was fine and Jose returned promptly to handle touching up.

    Fidelity Builders and Design
This was one of our best decisions that we made by hiring Fidelity Builders and Design to remodel our house. Our project manager with the office staff designed, planned and built the whole remodeling project and he controlled and overseen all the crew of skilled people that caused everything to go according to the plans. The people at Fidelity Builders and Design are high quality and skilled people including the carpenter, tile man, granite installer, painters, and more... they were all high quality people that were the reason why our remodeling project is a success. They surpassed our beliefs and vision. We were always informed about what is going on during the work and all the small changes and problems were handled professionally. Our house is stunning and we truly love each part of it!

The Angies list discount was not stated upfront, on the contract, or when asked for. The quality of the work was mostly good. The cabinets are great, the floor is beautiful and the paint job was mostly good. The owner stated to us to only speak to him. Then when he became unavailable he kept adding to people we were to speak to. They never communicated with the owner so there was confusion as to what was agreed to. We were accused of attacking the owner when we asked for clarification. We were also accused of making the owner beg for his money when he and his partner stated 2 different amounts in texts. Going forward I asked for 3 days to reconcile what was being asked for when it was due. We ended up with more confusion at the end when he said he would discount us $1000 then added $1000 to his bill. It was crazy making. His estimate was also $5000 more than others, but he had compute images that we thought helped us.

    Shenon Construction
The remodel went great! Shenon Construction is the most responsive and focused general contractor I have ever worked with. They respond to every email, text and phone call/voicemail. Sure, the project wasn't perfect, but what building project is perfect? Our remodel was quite extensive with the removal of two load bearing walls, discovery of a cracked foundation, and the normal issues of dragging a house built in the 80s into the 21st century. We re-plumbed, we rewired, and repainted the entire first floor (over 1,000 sqft). One caveat, the project took significantly longer than anticipated; however, I attribute this to delays in materiel shipments and surprises uncovered during renovation. Not the fault of the contractor, and this can be expected. Tom and his team were also very flexible as we made modifications through the project to accommodate unpredictable conditions and last minute additions. Finally, whenever I found problems they were quickly remedied without pushback or hassle. I would definitely use Shenon Construction on another project.

    Southwest Construction & Home Improvement
Tomer Grimberg and his company Southwest Construction is an excellent construction firm. 7 years ago we needed a substantial remodel of our home. Including replacing all windows and doors, sandblasting existing stucco and recoating with a smooth coat, cosmetic facelift of the exterior, replacing the driveway, and constructing a new fence. We first learned of Southwest Construction on Angie's list where they had incredible reviews. We also solicited about four other bids at the time. Southwest construction was much less expensive and offered more services (such as design) and handholding than any of the other firms would even consider. The work was completed professionally by his well trained, cordial and tidy crew. We were ecstatic at the result, our home's remodel turned out amazing, beyond our expectations. But that's not where the relationship with Tomer ends... since then Tomer has still kept in touch with us, which is unique because often you will never hear from a construction firm again (or want to hear from them again!) Tomer has stood behind his work, even though he didn't have to. 6 years after the projected ended we discovered a leak that we wrongly thought may have been related to the work performed. Tomer promptly came out and helped troubleshoot the problem (it turned out deck related, nothing to do with his work) and then recommended a waterproofing company that did an excellent job and several thousand dollars less than any other bids we received. Hiring Southwest Construction is like having a friend in the construction industry. My wife and I highly recommend Southwest Construction not only for the quality of their services but for the character of its owner Tomer Grimberg.

It went very well, with a lot of back and forth on certain questions and ideas going very smoothly. A couple of hiccups were sorted out by them and everythign passed city inspection on time. we now have an area of the backyard we can now use, we couldn't previously even reach!

    Kd Construction
Our relationship with Fermin and his team was great from the beginning. As we reviewed the design, we discussed various options and suggestions that Fermin had. We went to the site a couple of times a week to see how things were going. The team was always there, always friendly, and always making progress. During our weekly visits, we discussed design options - Fermin often had great suggestions - such as wainscoting in the master bath. And it looks fabulous. I loved the back and forth we had - discussions about what we should do - some we agreed with, some we didn't - but that didn't matter. It was just a conversation. We ended up with some changes in the end because of city regulations our designer hadn't included - but beyond that, we were on budget at the end - and would have been close to the original schedule except for the city changes. We would hire Fermin again at any time. We continue to have them come back for smaller projects. I would definitely recommend KD Construction for any project, big or small.

    King David & Jonathan
WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! Do not be fooled! We started a project with King David over 7 months ago and it's been ****!!! Shimon Benebgi aka Simon, sent his "cousin" David to meet with us initially. I should have known this was the first "bait and switch" technique of a serial con artist. Look up "King David and Jonathan" here on Yelp. All those reviews are EXACTLY what we went through! When the public catches on and starts writing bad reviews, he goes and changes his company name. One of his crews lead by Giovanni with a guy named Daniel did backwards plumbing through out my house causing sewer water to back up on my son's legs in the shower. Same guys caused a leak in my roof because they didn't reconnect my heaters condensation pipe. No one recognized a 6 ft asbestos transite pipe and broke it causing the city inspector to leave the construction site yelling at the crew for being that incompetent. God knows what else will fail in the future because walls are already closed and I don't know the details of construction. Other things I can see that I've accepted to live with and maybe slowly fix later are crooked walls, pealing paint, broken tiles.... the finish work is just crap! And I haven't even mentioned the horrible time management, inefficiency, total lack of oversight, no shows, scheduling nightmare, shady looking people coming and going through my property because they were subcontracted out and total lies I've had to deal with because those seem like small things now compared to the other areas of gross negligence. There have been other bad reviews here but Simon tries to negotiate and fix the problems he caused, as he should, but then bullies his clients until they remove the bad reviews. I'm sorry, Simon is not a business man who is trying to do right by his clients. He scammed us by sending me shoddy workers in the first place in hopes that I wouldn't catch it or complain!!! Save yourself the headache and don't be fooled by the other "friends and family" reviews on Yelp.

Stone Age Design & Build Inc
What should've been a pretty straightforward job turned into something much bigger when we discovered the crack in the foundation. Lou helped us navigate the process, scheduled the engineers and inspectors to come out, and dealt with all the permits. Lou and his crew were always on time, professional, friendly, and very good at what they do. Lou is super detail oriented...sometimes seeing things that I didn't. There were also a couple of minor issues that came up after they were done, and he sent someone out immediately to fix them. I would definitely recommend Lou and the Stone Age crew, and will use them again in the future.
