    Rainco Gutters
I recently had my home painted and decided to add gutters. My painter recommended Vincent from Rainco Gutters. Vincent came out to do a quote and noticed that where the gutter would attach to the house was that styrofoam that the builders spray the stucco over. He explained that he could put them up, but he would be screwing into that soft area and eventually they would come loose and cause issues. The proper way would be to remove the first layer of tile, install gutters, and then reinstall the roofing. He said that a roofer would probably charge a couple thousand dollars, and pointed out that my house is actually designed really well and didn't really need gutters. I soooo appreciated that he didn't try to sell me something I don't need, and that he didn't put them up incorrectly just to make a sell. I highly recommend Rainco for their honesty.

Their work is top quality and their estimate includes everything except damaged wood. They don't bid low and then nickel and dime you with change orders. Their workers are friendly and clean up every day.

The crew showed up on time. They communicated well, took pictures of the damage, and explained the repairs they made. The work was completed quickly, and the crew cleaned up when they were discovered done.

Jay came to my home one day after I called him to look at the problem. Based on what he could see from my fireplace door and looking up from the ground outside, he determined that the cause was either a leak from the chimney cap or from under the tile around the chimney stack. He could see dry rot along the wood overhang. Within a week, his crew was at my home, on time, and determined the leak was from a loose chimney cap. They replaced the hardware to secure the cap, replaced the paper under the tiles, and sealed everything. They also replaced some of the wood overhang with new painted planks (I provided the paint). The crew was on time and finished within a few hours.

First of all, Joe was prompt in returning my initial call asking for an estimate. He was 5 minutes early for the appointment and courteously waited by his truck until the appointment time, very nice!

After his initial roof inspection he carefully explained the problems he saw and the proper ways of fixing them. I had called because of a small leak coming down a light fixture in the living room. He quoted me a price to do all the fixes he saw over the entire roof but I told him my budget couldn't support that right now so he offered me a guarantee on the leak if I just wanted to fix the items on that side of the roof for now and do the rest later at my leisure. I accepted his offer and signed up with him. He let me know that since the rains he was very busy and wouldn't be able to start for a couple of weeks and that was fine with me. I had 3 other estimates with other contractors and they all said the same.

During the repairs he called to inform me that he noticed more work that had to be done that he hadn't noticed on his initial estimate. I was fearing the worst and expected him to up the price considerably to finish the job but he said even though he would have charged a deal more if he had initially known of the added work, he was going to do it anyway and wouldn't charge me any more than we agreed on, even when I offered to pay more he said no, that we had a deal. Who does that anymore? Especially in the contracting world! Honesty goes a long way with me!

Joe Ronstadt Sr. is the only contractor I've run across with that kind of work ethic and I've used a half dozen in the past 2 years. He and his company are honest, good people that I will get my business anytime! I wish he did all kinds of construction. I wouldn't have had the problems I've had with others in the past. I will definitely call him when I'm ready to finish with updating and repairing my roof and would encourage others to try him out for any roofing needs. I am a stickler for quality, precision work and he has made me a happy customer!

    Thanks again Joe!

Couldn't have gone better. The job is very high-quality, and there was absolutely zero up selling involved. As a matter of fact, Alleyn even talked me out of doing some unnecessary work based on his 20+ years of experience. A very standup guy, and a pleasure to work with. I recommend him to anyone/everyone.

I had some leaks and tiles were starting to fall off and it was recommended that I get a "tile reset". Tar got into the furnace and caused some damage and I was immediately sent a check to cover the damage.

A professional group that were respectful. organized work,  and clean up very well afterwards .  Started off with inspection and then reported what can be covered with the Angie's Deal purchase.  First inspection, they missed a back section where a title was missing, so mentioned that and they went came back out to inspect if again and included in the deal.  Got the items fixed and received a full report with the recommendation of fixing the section above the overhang. We played phone tag to set up the initial inspection and dealing with several different folks and different numbers and emails was time consuming, and could be better at have a central info center. Yes, I will use them again since their work was great.

    California Roofing and Weather Proofing
Very satisfied. Robb, the owner, was responsive to every phone call I made and answered all my questions. He corrected a few shortcuts that the original roofer had taken when the house was built. Work was done on time and on cost and the roof looks better than it did when it was new. No surprises! Highly recommend this contractor!
