  • I always use them for a long time cause I like them and their good they've always treated me good down there so and why I told my grandson to start using them but now we have this new guy that my neighbors recommended so we're probably start using him. Their price is better because the dealership the reason I started going there cause Firestone was cheaper than the dealership, so that's why I started going to Firestone they could do whatever the dealership was gonna do cheaper.

  • In my experience, purchasing a car from a dealership always comes with certain challenges. This transaction was no exception to the rule. One of the 2 cars I had viewed online was not equipped exactly as the online ad had stated. That did not turn out to be a problem for me.

    Afshar, my salesman, was very pleasant. I highly recommend him. We have owned 3 Camry's prior to this purchase so I know the car well. We took a short test drive and I was happy with the vehicle. I had never purchased a CPO vehicle before. It comes with a 160 point inspection sheet that I did not get the opportunity to view before purchasing the vehicle. I strongly suggest that if you are considering purchasing a CPO vehicle, ask to see the 160 point inspection sheet so that you can use it while you inspect the vehicle. I viewed the sheet after the purchase and discovered that it had not been completely filled out. There were 30 items that had not been checked off the sheet.

    When negotiating the price, I pointed out the fact that one of the alloy rims had been curb damaged around the outer rim. I was told by Brian (the New and Used Sales manager) that it would cost him $150 to fix the rim. As I stated, I had not yet seen the 160 point inspection sheet. Item #41 states - Wheel covers secure and reasonably free of damage. It didn't meet the standard, but I didn't know that since I had not yet seen the 160 point sheet. Therefore, I factored that $150 into my offer which I would not have done had I known it did not meet the standard.

    After purchasing the vehicle, I viewed the 160 point inspection sheet. Item #156 states - Vehicle is free of improper or mismatched color. I had seen 7 small paint touchups on the bumper when I had inspected the vehicle. Now that I had the opportunity to read item #156, I didn't believe it met the standard. I brought this up to Brian and he told me that it did meet the standard.

    There were a few more mis-communications during the transaction that I won't pursue here. Brian understood I was upset with the way the transaction had been handled. He said he wanted me to be happy and asked what he could do to make things better. I told him I would like the bumper to be painted properly. He agreed to do that for me.

    The next week I took my car to Ed in the body shop. He is another very pleasant man. Toyota had my car for 2 days. They did an excellent job on the rim and the rear bumper. The exterior is now in excellent shape. I was very happy with the work. The bottom line for me is always how the story ends, not how it begins. Brian transformed a potentially negative car buying experience into a positive experience. Therefore, I am very happy to recommend Brian and the others I had dealt with at Santa Margarita Toyota Scion.

  • Used their own website's coupon to get a discount.  Otherwise, their normal price is a tiny bit high, but for the  location/convenience, is worth it, since we live in the same city as this business.  
    Was in and out very quickly.
    Treated courteously by the staff.
    Parking at this center is a little tight on Saturday, so I had to park way across the other end of parking lot, instead of in front of the business, but as soon as I sat down to wait, they already retrieved my car for the smog.
    Based on my experience here, I will come back again.

  • They were able to diagnose the problems, give suggestions, and fix the issues. The prices offered were great too. My only grip is that although, I had the Angie's list coupon, I forgot to take it on the day I was picking up the car. So could not get the full coupon discount, but they gave me some $$ off.

  • I found the husband and wife team owners of Smog Express to be friendly, courteous, and very professional in providing smog test services on my Honda. I learned from a previous Angie's customer review that a savings coupon was available from the Smog Express website. I printed the online coupon for a considerable savings. I had a short wait time while my vehicle was being serviced. Comfortable seating and a variety of books and magazines were available for customers. The completed results of the smog test were transmitted to the DMV electronically and I was provided a written copy for my records as well. I will return to Smog Express again in the future for vehicle licensing required smog tests, I was very satisfied with their service.

  • Getting car repairs done is kind of a scary thing and I am not scared of dealers, like a lot of people are, because there is good ones and there's bad ones as far as their service department goes. I was looking for older cars and I was looking for something a little closer. Sand S seemed to have real good reviews and the owners work in the shop. They take you out into the shop and show you exactly what they are doing if you want to see it. And I think they do that so that you believe that they are showing you something that really needs done. They don't push a lot of things that don't need to be done to the car. The first time they look at your car they go over top to bottom and they will say here are some things that maybe in the future we need to keep an eye on. I took a car in that my daughter is driving. It had a really strange problem that they had to diagnose and they got it right the first time. It wasn't inexpensive. What I find at Sand S is that they may not be cheap, but they get it right the first time and my time is worth something. They don't just throw something in there and say well, I didn't fix it, you have to bring it back and we will troubleshoot it some more. It means a lot to me. It is just the reliability of their service. They've had a couple of things they diagnosed on cars that were starting to get miles on. It was just really professionally diagnosed and they fixed it right the first time. It wasn't inexpensive fixes, but at least I didn't have to revisit.

  • My brakes were making noise and it seemed like a while since they were replaced so I took them in to be checked.  I expected a call confirming my suspicion.  Instead I got a call tellling me they were fine.  It is hard to find someone this honest these days.  I won't forget them the next time I need something done to my car.

  • They are so trustworthy and honest. We have had many services done here. Mostly oil changes and check-ups. Because our vehicles have been well maintained, there wasn't much need for costly repairs.
