    Nexxus Remodeling Inc
Tony of Nexxus Remodeling came up through an Angie's List search in September 2018. I was in need of a contractor to repair a botched remodel of our condo. The previous contractor left our condo in disarray, including: (1) unfinished /damaged walls in need of paint and drywall repair, (2) newly purchased doors were hung crooked, (3) front door needed to be replaced, (4) baseboard and trim was crooked or in need of repair in various places, etc. etc. As I explained the various issues to Tony, he was willing to work with me to repair the most egregious items, primarily: (1) rehung all interior doors, including pocket door; (2) replace baseboard and trim in various locations throughout; (3) drywall and painting in various locations throughout; (4) install new front door, jamb including exterior stucco repair; (5) rehang interior closet doors, and inset closet tracks in laundry room. This was not a traditional job and included repair work from a previous contractor, so was difficult to even find someone that would consider doing the work. In addition, we had a water leak damage interior wood trim around french doors while we were finishing the work with Tony. Tony was even willing to come back and repair and replace the trim at a reasonable fee (more of a handyman job) given the work we had already done with him. Overall great experience with Tony.

    Supreme Remodeling Inc
Supreme took on a huge job with this house. It was located on a hill and faced numerous challenges like adding a second story to an existing structure from the 1930's that was not meant to support a second story. The existing foundation under the house was also badly damaged and needed to be entirely replaced and strengthened. They handled the job calmly and professionally and managed to get everything done on budget. Additionally, we wanted the house to look like was originally built in the 1930's (since we are not fans of the look of most new construction). Micky at Supreme assured us that they could pull of the charm and vintage look of older 1930's style houses and was true to his word. They incorporated antique tile wherever possible, wide-plank pine flooring, salvaged antique doors and fixtures, etc... My wife and I are thrilled with the home they built. It's a beautiful home and we have had many neighbors and friends comment on it. Lastly, in terms of follow-up, I have to give Supreme additional props. They have stuck with us and addressed all the minor concerns that came up afterwards (which come up with all new construction!) and made sure everything was working smoothly and properly. These guys will take care of you and stay in touch where a lot of contractors will go right onto the next job and forget all about you.

    E-Z Genesis Builderz, Inc.
I tried calling several places, but no bbn one would take such a small job. Little did the other companies know, I have a much bigger job coming up. E-Z Builderz took this job, were punctual, professional and did excellent work. Our doors are beautiful and exactly what we wanted. We will be hiring them to do the fence and automatic gate that surrounds as our property.

We recently worked with Concept Renovations to do some work in our kitchen and everything turned out great. We found out about them through a friend who had also got some work done. Working with this company was very smooth, they are a very experienced group of people who really value their customers and will do anything to keep you happy. They were able to work within our budget to provide us will quality materials and quality work. They also were able to adjust their usual scheduling to make sure we were available during the times they could come into work. I would use them in the future for any other projects I may have and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a genuione remodeling referral.

So Cal Builders & Design Inc
Planning: Very smooth. We knew our high level goals and Avi told us what our options were. Avi provided a good sense of the cost and the pros/cons for our decisions. Heading to a showroom to look at materials was fun and we found things we really liked. We were given recommendations on where to do additional shopping and they would pick up materials with little effort on us. Schedule: We were able to start right away and except for a couple of issues with a supplier were mostly on time. Communication: Avi & Ferdy did a fantastic job of staying in close contact. In the case of delays we knew what was going on and what was being worked on next. Quality of Work: We're very happy with the end result. I can be a very picky person and I felt like every single little thing got taken care of. If there was an alignment issue or imperfection it would get taken care of. The materials used were high quality and everything feels solid and well built. After months of work we're very happy with how our project turned out. There's no doubt we're relieved to be done since home renovations can be tough, but just the other day we chatted about what we'd work on next. and if we do I'd definitely call So Cal Builders & Design.

Quality of Work - We're very happy with the quality of the work. Also towards the end of the project they were committed to getting every detail & polish point right Communication - This is where SoCal really stands out. I always felt like I knew exactly what was happening and when. I'd say the best review of how things went is that we are in the process of planning out more work with SoCal Design & Builders

I highly recommend Zac - he has a solution for everything-and he has a nice sense of humor. He can also pick out a problem and quickly correct it. And he works very hard. However, when it comes to clean up, I think he should lay out his tarps more neatly so that the sawdust, wood chips, and metal dust doesn't go all over the place, esp when working inside. I did a lot of the sweeping of the fine dust on both days, inside and outside. Also, for the $95 hourly rate, I think it would be more efficient if he had a helper along as the planing of one of the heavy doors took a lot of effort and I had to ask my neighbor to help rehang the door, but there was no price break from him for my having provided a helper for this task. I would have appreciated if he took that into consideration, but I didn't ask. If my neighbor had not been present, the job would have taken a lot longer (at my expense). But he's still a great handyman, regardless!
