Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Rancho Cucamonga

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • This is the third time I’ve used Preferred Garage Door. The price has always been fair, they come out within a day or two, and they are professional. I will use them every time I have garage door issues.

  • I called them at 11:30 and was told Chris would be there between 12 and 2. He showed up by 1:00 and got right to work. He replaced the hinges, tightened all the screws and replaced the missing ones, adjusted the door and lubed all the moving parts. He was done quickly and left no mess. This was my first time using them and I will use them again if needed.

  • The installation was great, clean and well done. All of the old parts/wires/etc were removed and the new lines were cleanly run. I can't believe how quiet the new unit is in comparison to the old one. Programming it was a breeze, both to my car and to my iPhone.

  • Everything about this job went great. From the first contact, to follow up communication PRIOR to the service, and finally to a job well done. Very professional, very knowledgeable, and explained everything that was needed (and costs) before any work was performed. My garage door is quieter and smoother now then when it was first installed. I can't recommend them can't go wrong with this company!

  • My repairman, Sean, was friendly, but he was two hours late. Once he got there, he asked me to remove one car from the 2 car garage. I would suggest if you hire this company that you move both of your cars. The garage door work was fine, however, if you paid through paypal, make sure you have proof of your purchase, because I was charged the service charge twice. You might want to compare prices before committing to this company because the price seamed a bit high at $640.

    • Jeff came out the same day we called to replace our broken garage door spring. It turned out the bearings on our garage door were worn out and he replaced those as well.  Jeff completed the job and gave us some advice on our garage door operation and the possible need for future repairs. The door is 25 years old. Jeff is very friendly and professional and we recommend him highly.

  • I had trouble getting my garage door repaired. I kept having to have someone come out to fix it and I just wanted to replace it. He came out and fixed it initially and then he offered to include replacing it in the cost of service! He was very timely and professional. He replaced the garage door at an incredibly reasonable cost. I would highly recommend them!

  • This is the second time we have used Preferred Garage Door. The first time we had them come out to do check up and service in 2012. After the first time, we knew we would be calling them again if we needed service. We called yesterday (7/29/15) and they responded same day, in fact, within a couple of hours.  Kris is very personable, informative and professional.  He explained what was wrong with the door and the work was done in about 30-45 minutes.  He explained that we had one broken spring and he could replace it right away.  The springs were at least 15 years old and expected life would not be much longer for the other spring, so we had both replaced. We would highly recommend Kris and Preferred Garage Door.

  • Our wood garage doors were 30 years old and needing to be replaced. After getting estimates from three companies, we chose Pioneer because (1) they offered the best price on high-quality Amarr doors, and (2) they had excellent reviews on Angie's List.
To be honest, at first we were a little hesitant because Ryan, who did the measuring & estimate, wasn't terribly helpful about explaining our options. He handed us a brochure but didn't show us door samples or give us any additional information to help us make our choices. If it hadn't been for the previous two estimates, we wouldn't have had a clue what we needed or wanted. Ryan was a nice guy, just not very helpful. (Hence the "B" for Professionalism)
The office staff was great at communicating with us and keeping us in the loop regarding installation date and time. On the morning of the installation, Nathan called ahead of time to let us know he was on his way. We had one 2-car and one 1-car garage door installed. We opted for the steel-back 3000 Heritage series for the superior insulation. We also chose doors with decorative windows. We love having windows and the natural light they let in! The doors are beautiful and quiet and give our house an updated look. Nathan also installed a new belt-drive garage door opener on the 2-car side and reinstalled one of our old openers on the 1-car side. The new motor is so quiet--we love it!
Nathan was a meticulous worker. He and his assistant were well-mannered, careful, and clean, and they left everything spotless when the job was finished. We couldn't be happier with the doors, the installers, and the office staff. We highly recommend Pioneer Door!

  • Unfortunately I did not use this deal due to it not being applicable for what I need

Update as of 12/2--They came here today.  They had changed the motor on my garage door awhile back. Last week the door stopped working. So I called the company today and Christopher became very mad at me and was yelling and very nasty. He asked me several times if there was something blocking the door. I confirmed there was nothing blocking it. He again was yelling and said that he was going to charge me a $40 service call. So he finally did come today. The door opened but then didn't shut entirely.  He said he thought it was something wrong with the sensor. I also mentioned I might need a weather seal. He told me it would be $95, plus $5 per foot of the seal, then another additional fee, making the total $182. He was only here for 10 minutes. He was so rude to me the entire time he was at my home.  When he first got to my home he rang the doorbell incessantly until I was able to get to the door. I will never use this company again.
While he was here, I also had some painters here working and he was even very rude to them.
