Isaac and Rudy came to our initial appointment. They asked us direct questions about the project, had some suggestions, and listened to our preferences. We also told them we had a tight timeline of 6 weeks. They had a detailed estimate for us in under a week. Once we hired them they started working almost immediately. Their employees were punctual, friendly, and respectful of our space. They worked hard 6 days a week and Isaac said because of our deadline we would be a top priority. He and Rudy both came out to check on progress and get our opinions on materials. They never pushed us to spend more, expand the project, or add expensive extras. I felt like they used their expertise to guide what I wanted and make it a reality. It was a large project and they finished in under 2 weeks. I will definitely hire them again if we decide to do anything else to our yard. They are excellent.

We heard about Damian from a friend who has had him complete multiple jobs. We called and set up an appointment. Damian was timely and fantastic to interact with. He followed up with a bid that never changed through the process. There was no rush, and the price was competitive with multiple other bids.
Our home had a long stretch of dirt/gravel and a set of trees that had the possibility to damage the property (two liquidambars and a pine that reached right over our chimney...what genius would plant a pine by a chimney?). Damian's crew came out and removed everything.
As his men worked, they never rushed nor lagged. Their work was consistent. If I had a request through the process, Damian and his men listened and adjusted easily and without concern. My interest in good work was matched equally by the product we received. We couldn't have been more pleased.
On the first day, the crew was very specific about where forms, drainage (adding one drain that I hadn't asked for, which would have created a pool had Damian not foreseen its potential hazard), and future planting would take place. With jackhammers and axes, trees were removed and forms were constructed. A problem with his pump created a small speed bump, but his men adjusted quickly and completed the job without any semblance of an issue.
Cleanup was perfect. Afterward, his crew planted three carrotwood trees (which they picked up for me) and adjusted the irrigation (after connecting a valve to a line of PVC they added for my convenience...this is the over-and-above stuff that sets them apart).
We just had our first true thunderstorm. The slope in the concrete was completely effective. His drainage was perfect. I am very, very happy with this job.
On the last day, Damian gave me a quote for another job on our property. It was just as competitive as the first. We look forward to having Sunshine Concrete/Construction back in a few months. Thanks Damian. You guys were excellent.

Initially, things on the admin side were rough, so we wrote a bad review and were ready to move on to another company. After the review posted, California Custom called us back and we worked things out. The work they did is outstanding. The yard looks fantastic. My only complaint is that there was damage done to the roots of our tree and it has been in decline for the last two weeks (fingers crossed it can recover).

Job was to last 3 weeks, started in June 2014 and didn't finish until October 2014.  When the lumber yard delived the wrong materials it took two more weeks to get the correct product.  I had already contracted with a roofing company to install a new tile roof on the existing house nad new patio cover.  Because of the delays I had to reschedule the roofer 3 times.  Once the roof completed it was one thing after another.  He substituded spruce instead of using cedar for the ceiling without letting me know.  He never took any responsibility for anything that went wrong.  It was always someone elses fault but he was right there taking the draws for money. Then when it came time for stucco the subcontractors he hired slopped stucco all over the new concrete.  I let him know the same day and was told not to worry it would come off with pressure washing.  In October I received an email from him stating he went bankrupt.  He told me he could walk away and not finish anything but he was a man of his wqord he would finish the job.  Well after 3 times at attempting to pressure wash the stucco off I told him to stop because he ruining the new concrete.  He then told me he really didn't know how to fix the problem.  On another note his crew used the my front yard to pour all of the waste water from the stucco and ruined the front yard too. So know I have a front yard that needs to be replaced a new patio that has pressure washer swirls in it and stucco that was spatterd on the paint on my house that was never cleaned up either. He did throw seed down to attempt to repair the damaged  but it was to liitle to late.  All I can say is buyer beware.  If you want a Home Depot job then he's your guy but if you have a project that takes any interaction or thought stay away.  His faviorite term is "turn key", he lives up to it by turning his ignition key on his truck to leave.

Very happy with the service from start to finish. They let us know up front how much they needed to start, and when they needed more money; we split the cost with the neighbor and we were very pleased with the communication and workmanship. Definetly would hire them again.   The fence was 112 foot grey block wall 6x8x16, footing and rebar was all done to city code, and inspected each step of the way.  We would definitely recommend Mission Concrete, and plan to use them in the future!

As has been my experience Harold has been great to work with. He offers suggestions to improve the overall project, listens to suggestions and provides pros and cons proposed activities. Flexible, keeps the work areas organized and clean during the work and at the end of the day. Provides reasonable schedules and makes plans for contingencies. Fair, reasonable pricing of change orders.

We had a major leak at the sink BBQ and could not locate the supply line to at least close it off. The sink was part of the irrigation line so we couldn't run the sprinklers as the leak was pretty bad. We started out by hiring two irrigation companies but all they did was dig up the yard (for $1000!) and never located the supply line. We knew the supply line was under the patio brick and concrete.
We decided the best course was to find a landscape design company as they should be very knowledgeable about all of the design of patios, BBQs, and irrigation lines plus we want to upgrade backyard in the future. We found Harold Clements on Angie's List and we liked that he did big and small jobs, was local, and had great reviews. Harold came out and studied the problem. Even though we didn't know for sure where the leak was, he quoted us $450 for the job. I thought this was an extremely fair price.
Harold is amazing. He immediately went to work, jack hammering out the brick and concrete area underneath the sink (in a very tight spot). He didn't stop until he located the leak. It was extremely challenging to fix the leak as the previous owner had imbedded the PVC pipe in the concrete! No wonder it sprung a leak. After fixing the leak, Harold re-poured concrete and laid new bricks that he matched up.
He charged us exactly the quoted price.
I can not say enough good things about Harold. He is personable, professional, honest, and only knows how to fix things one way - the right way!
I look forward to hiring Harold again.

They started our pool in January and finished in March.  We talked to a bunch of other people but when we interviewed Bogner, both my husband and I felt that they were going to standby and do what they said they would do because they were in business for a long time.  That is exactly what happened.  The quality of work was excellent.  The people that have come and seen our pool asked me who did it.  They were very timely and did exactly what they said and when they said they would do it, which was really important to us.  These guys were very clean and there was never a big mess that they had done.  Everything they said they would do, they did.  Their price was comparable to everybody else because we got several estimates.

Danny and the crew were professional and informative. He showed us several photos of previous work and took my husband to a job in progress prior to choosing this company. We were impressed with the time spent explaining what would take place and answering all our questions. The workers came on time and worked hard until the job was done. Great attention was given to detail every step of the way. The job done was first class and we are extremely happy with the results, the price and the care that was taken while at our home. We couldn't ask for a better company to meet our needs for our home improvements. We would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a job done right the first time, with beautiful results! They cleaned up everything before they left, and hauled away all trash, old concrete, etc. They didn't ask for any payments until we were completely satisfied with each phase of work done. They treated us like family and we were very comfortable with them.

Luna Concrete built a beautiful masonry wall along the side of the yard. It matches well with a previous wall installed on 2 other sides of the yard. Mr Luna was exceedingly good with working with problems that existed because of neighbors that didn't want to participate with the building of the wall. I greatly commend him for that.
The stone veneer on the existing retaining wall looks beautiful. I'm very pleased with it.
    Grass and sprinklers are fine.
Problems began when the patio was constructed. The concrete had huge irregular splotches in it. Mr. Luna never gave us a reason for it, just that it wasn't his fault, it was the fault of the concrete mixer. We believe that he was still responsible for it. Mr. Luna tried wiping it down with vinegar and water. - Didn't help. We waited to see if it would just go away.(cure?) - Didn't work. Mr. Luna finally stained the uncolored, unstamped part of the patio. This did cover the splotches where stained. It didn't help cover the splotches in the grey, stamped part of the patio. The patio was never satisfactory.
We gave up on having the patio look the way it was originally visualized. I believe that in order to be a beautiful patio, it would have actually had to have been completely redone. - which would be even more expense. We hinted at that, although did not insist on it. I'l repeat - We gave up.
