    Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen
Everything went pretty much according to the timeline/schedule that Royce discussed with me prior to the project start.  We had a hiccup with my flooring contractor ( different company) removing the old ceramic tile and re-installing the new hardwood floor on Remodel Works timeline but Royce accommodated the scheduling issue, overcame the difficulty and still completed the job on time.

I highly recommend Remodel works and John Deluca for any kitchen or bath project.  John worked hard to accommodate the budget we had to give us the best bang for the buck as we paid directly for the granite counter tops, kitchen sink, toilet, faucet and appliances that Remodel Works installed.

We love our new kitchen and bathroom.

    Superior Kitchen & Bath, Inc.
This is the second project that Superior Kitchen & Bath did for us. The first project was to remodel our complete kitchen, which was outstanding. This second project was our home's main bathroom. Superior is such a professional company, from their initial contact to discuss what you are looking to do, to sitting with you and reviewing concept drawings, and finally performing the demolition and new construction.

    Right Way Lighting
From the beginning, they were very professional. They arrived on time for estimate, explained everything that would happen and left without any sales pitch. Scheduling the work was equally "pain free", and they followed up the night before to confirm.
On the day the work was to be performed, they showed up on time and ready to work. They actually finished ahead of schedule. Their attention to detail is fantastic, when they leave, there was no clean up for me to worry about! The workers could not have been nicer or more professional. I would recommend them to anyone.

    S&D Brushworks Painting & Coatings
Just needed some drywall patch after removing wallpaper. I am a zealot about fine print on these deals so before purchasing, I checked to make sure this job was covered. Talked at length with a rep, sent pictures, etc. Had to follow-up a couple of times before learning it was fine, so went ahead and purchased.
Just a couple of days after the 30-eay expiration period, I called to schedule the work. "Oh, we don't service your area."
WHAT????? I am in west Ramona, just 10 minutes from Poway.
I checked the fine print on the deal, no geographic limitations noted. I checked their Angie's listing, which featured a map showing their service area from the border all the way to Temecula. I live in the middle of this service map! I wrote them a lengthy email, even offered to pay a bit more. No response.
It took several calls and many emails to get an appropriate (non-canned) response from Angie's List. They finally agreed to refund my money, though I was not satisfied. I told them, **I want to feel heard. I don't want someone else to experience the disappointment and hassle I did on this! S&D needs to update their listing and the limitations need to be included on the deal fine print!"
Good response from Angie's List, people kept calling and writing -- all DIFFERENT people -- with the same canned responses for me about the 30-day clause, etc., an endless circle of parroting. No one was actually ** hearing** my case or **reading** my documentation. No one cared to become informed about my complaint.
I was so frustrated and felt so betrayed by a company that purports to be a consumer advocate and instead is apparently just a big machine of impersonal robots following SOP. In the end, they gave me the refund to make me go away but I wanted more, I wanted someone to assure me that this would be corrected.
I didn't give up. They finally assured me that the right people had been told and it would be corrected.
The fraudulent map remains on the listing four months later. SHAME on S&D and FAIL for Angie's.

    Jeff Harrington Construction
Jeff checked out a ceiling fan for me that was not working correctly and also installed a dimmer switch in a china cabinet.  In the past he built me a beautiful cottage style entertainment center.  He has a Facebook page where you can see some of his work. He does an awesome job.  Would highly recommend him  whether for small jobs or remodeling jobs.

Rodriguez General Contracting & Custom Painting
I hired Rodriguez General Contracting and Custom Painting to remodel my home?s interior.  I am very pleased with their professional, quality craftsmanship.  They did full interior custom painting, travertine flooring, lacquered cabinetry, granite countertops, lighting and finish carpentry.  When the interior work was complete, I asked them to landscape my backyard which was a large project around a new swimming pool and included a new patio, firepit and barbeque area. They were very helpful and patient with my design and material selections.  My home is now beautiful inside and out and it?s just the way I wanted it.
Rodriguez is an established, family business run by Drew Rodriguez. I felt strongly about supporting local businesses, found them through the Better Business Bureau, personally checked references and toured homes they had previously done. Hiring Rodriguez to perform my remodel was a very good decision.  I have confidently recommended Rodriguez many times.

    Dunn Drywall
Rob was very helpful. He came to the house, inspected the work that needed to be done, sent me the estimate. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner, cleanup was excellent. I have additional work that I am going to have done in a few months and, of course, Dunn Drywall will be doing it.

Doctor Piper inc , Repipe Specialists

Radi (owner) and crew, arrived on time each day and meticulously completely re-piped our house over the last week. He explained every step of the process and did a better job (pipe layout, sizing and installing) than the original plumber when the house was built n 1996. Floors and furniture were covered and the rest of the house was protected by plastic sheeting. We were able to stay in the house during the project. It was a relief to have the drywall repair and quality texturing included. After I paint, there will be no evidence of the re-pipe. I am impressed with the work quality and thoughtful solutions Radi proposed for this project. All the reviews I read from Angie's list and other resources were confirmed by the work done by Doctor Piper in my home. Radi is personable, professional, and he brings a strong work ethic to the job. Radi bids the job and does the work with his crew. We had estimates from many plumbing companies for this re-pipe and for the amount of quality work and materials, I believe we paid a fair price. We highly recommend Doctor Piper in San Diego.

    ER Drywall
We needed drywall, taping, mudding, and texturing done on a room
addition.  The framing was already done.  We called in ER drywall, and
they gave us a good price, and also did a very good job.  The guys who
came were very professional and quick.  On a few walls, we wanted
sound-rated sheetrock (QuietRock) installed, and they handled it well.  I
recommend these guys and I would use them again if needed.
Make sure to discuss the details of costs carefully.  They give a good
price, but anything that you don't explain clearly at the outset will cost
    you extra later.

The Problem Solver : Timely & Simply Professional Solutions
This is a tiny apartment and it needed to be gutted and completely redone.  Thomas and his guys completed the project in just 2 weeks.  He worked straight through the weekend that first week and the only piece of equipment we retained from the previous bathroom was the toilet (it had been replaced about 3 years earlier).  He just kept things moving so our tenant could get to use his bathroom as soon as possible.  Our tenant actually got to use the bathroom one and a half weeks after the work began.  The final day of work was yesterday, it only took 3 hours to finish the oak transition and to seal the tile.

Fortunately, the wall damage that triggered the contact in the first place was old termite damage, not water damage.
