    Antech Appliances Inc
Run people run!!! What a sorry excuse of a business!!! Don't waste your time. It took 10 days to get an appointment for my washer, was given a 6 hour window noon to 6pm. No one shows! No one calls! Called the office, it closed at 5pm. Left a message. Next morning no return call, tried calling numerous times, last time I called the phone rang for 5 minutes, still no one answers. Know wonder they have a one star rating on Yelp and a one star rating on the BBB site with a grade of C- and 9 complaints filed. The rating should be a F!! You don't treat customers like that. Make them wait 10 days, then wait all day, then don't bother showing up or calling to inform the customer. They can't even be bothered to return a call or answer the phone.

Val was a true professional. He showed up on schedule, had the dryer apart within minutes to show me what happens inside a dryer that users may not realize. He was very detailed in his work and explained as he was going on. Great work. Thanks Val!!

    Gormsen Appliance, Co.
Outstanding. Refrig quit on Monday. Called GORMSEN APPLIANCE CO. Axel, the owner, was at our house Wednesday morning. He completely took care of the problems, fixing our 20 year old refrig. and replacing the ice maker. We're back to normal living. We've dealt with Gormsen since 2012 for several appliance problems and they are alway quick to show up and the work has always been 100% quality, with no call backs.

After checking other community comments on, I contacted Craig Henke of Advantage Appliance, Inc. He returned my call and set an apt. for the next day. He called when he was 30 minutes away and arrived as promised. We had a leak on the inside of our refrigerator which he quickly diagnosed and fixed with a $17.89 part. He then addressed a water overflow problem with our 1988 Maytag clothes washer. He determined that there was no mechanical issue right away, rather that an errant piece of clothing in the cycle had gotten caught on the rim of the tub and diverted water during a cycle. His professionalism was apparent not only in his extensive knowledge and experience but in the way he handles his business. And to make it even better, he is great guy and a fellow dog lover. I would recommend him to everyone who wants outstanding service with honest prices and an amiable person. Total bill: $95.82. A representative from another company had told me three months ago that I needed either $600 worth of repair or that I should buy a new machine. Enough said!

I called Karl at 8:30 am on a Saturday. He told me a house call was $49.95 which would be waived if he did the repair. I agreed and he was at the house by 10:15 am. Amazing. He looked at the oven and diagnosed the issue as a non-working control board. Karl said the oven was so old (17 years) that no parts were available. He said he could try to solder the wire and, hopefully, it would work. we agreed that I would pay $180 if it worked or $85 if it didn't. I happily ended up paying the $180. I couldn't be more pleased with his initial response and the outcome. I will absolutely use him for any future needs.

    Express Appliance Service
He listened to my concerns. He listened to the efforts we had already expended on our own. He was quick to get to work. He complimented my husband's efforts to get as far as he did without experience. He showed me where the clog in the line was located. He then offered to let my husband clean the clog and call it quits at just the initial $45 fee or said he could clear the line, clean the trap and attach it himself - for a fee of $125. We opted to let the repairman do it for the $125. Now the machine works like a champ and we're all happy!

    Plumbing Plus
I made an appointment with Plumbing Plus and Nate found the problem in 5 minutes. It wasn't the water pressure. I just needed new hoses, which the washing machine repairman never checked. I'm getting ready to host company, so having a working washing machine is crucial. And, after dealing with this problem for weeks, it was such a relief to finally get a workable solution. Plumbing Plus has always provided us with great, reasonable service.

    Premier Appliance Repair
The technician listened and saw how the dryer would shut down and announced that it was a thermistor mounted on the motor and that the repair would be $440 or I could continue to run it until it stopped once and for all. I declined the repair as I wasn't impressed with his troubleshooting technique, and I was certain the rollers supporting the drum were bad. A few months later, the problem was getting worse and we had a different repair service out. He replaced the rollers and showed me where I had a partial blockage in exhaust for the lint filter. He explained that the combination of the two was causing the Thermistor to overheat and shut down the dryer. Now working fine. The cost of the estimate would have been fair had the estimate been accurate but I wasted my time and money having them come out.

Technician diagnosed the problem and immediately replaced evaporator coil with new one in his truck. Replacement requires removing Freon, braising tubing connections, and recharging with Freon. Box Appliance response was within approximately 4 hours after call-in.

    1 800 Appliance

The problem was the following: even though our freezer was working properly, we had a little tear at the top of the gasket and we felt that it needed to be fixed.

Note: I do not need to editorialize as facts speak for themselves.

Feb 19th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance came for an unrelated problem (to fix our dishwasher). Since the gasket on the freezer side of our Sub-Zero fridge needed replacing, I used the opportunity to ask the technician for a quote. The technician said that it would cost about $250.00. I needed a bit of time before taking my decision, so I did not give him an answer right away on whether or not to go ahead with the repair

Feb 23rd 2016: I took my decision and decided to go ahead with the repair. I called 1800Appliance. They did not save the quote in their system and the guy who wrote it had left the company, so they could not contact him. They needed to send someone else to give us another quote. They told us that it would cost us $69.00 just to get the quote. I told them that I could just give her the model and serial number of my fridge. They said that they really needed to send someone.

Feb 24th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance came and took the model and serial number of our fridge. He said that the cost of the repair would be about $250.00 and that they would subtract the $69.00 we had to pay for the quote. I told him to go ahead with the repair. The technician then said that they would order the part (gasket) and that they would come on March 1st 2016 to do the repair.

Feb 29th 2016: I got a call from 1800Appliance. They received the wrong part, so they had to reschedule the repair. It got rescheduled to March 8th 2016.

March 8th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance replaced the gasket. He asked me not to open the freezer for 8 hours. He also told me that problems often occur, and that he would come back if it happened. He blamed the way Sub-Zero ships their gaskets; supposedly folded in a small box After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that we had problems that we did not have before: we lost the strong suction that was holding the freezer door and a lot of condensation appeared at the top of our freezer.

March 9th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance came back and used some kind of heated dryer to soften the gasket. He asked us not to open the freezer for 8 hours. He also told us that if there was a problem he would come back. After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that things got worse: still no strong suction to hold the door and even more condensation.

March 11th 2016: The technician from 1800Appliance came back and used his heated dryer to soften the gasket. He also added some kind of Vaseline. He also told us that a new gasket had been ordered for our freezer and that he would call us in a couple of days to see if we still had problems. If so, he would just replace the whole gasket again. After 8 hours, we opened the freezer and discovered that things got even worse: all our food was mushy and melting. We had to throw it all and it was worth more than the cost of the repair. We called 1800Appliance. They told us that they would get back to us.

March 12th 2016: Someone from 1800Appliance called and told us that we had to wait for about 10 days from the time a gasket is installed for it to fully work.

March 17th 2016: Our freezer looked like a disaster (full of icicles). We had been dealing for nearly a month with 1800Appliance and we urgently had to do something to get our freezer fixed. We made arrangements for Box Appliance to come and repair our freezer.

Thankfully, Box Appliance fixed our problem. Box Appliance opened the box containing the new gasket in front of me. It had been shipped from Sub-Zero in a relatively big box, especially designed so the gasket would not be damaged. Box Appliance replaced our gasket and things worked right away! No more condensation and the strong suction needed to hold the freezer door was finally back! We are planning on asking 1800Appliance for our money back. They are lucky that we are not asking for the cost of the food we lost, as it was worth more than the cost of the repair

If this was not enough, the comments left by Box Appliance were quite incriminating: Found new gasket installed by someone else. Gasket is not a Sub-Zero gasket for this unit. Hinge side of gasket is not sealing
