    Donn Bohnet Electric
He hasn't sent me a bill yet. He is the best electrician that ever has ever walked the earth. He has been doing electrical work for our family and companies for 20-plus years. I trust him completely and whatever he says I just tell him yes because I am not an electrician. My dad found him.

    GRAEAGLE ELECTRIC

This was an excellent choice of contractor.  We discussed the job with five different electricians.  Randy Petersen was always professional and obviously in complete control of the work.  Nothing was done without discussion with us.  His advice throughout was invaluable.

I would recommend his services to anyone, particularly if like us you are starting with a 1943 built house.  These old structures are not easy to pull apart and reconstruct.  Randy Peterersen was efficient with his suggestions about how to do the work without destroying the inside of the house.

    PIPER ELECTRIC
On November 4th 2010 Piper submitted a proposal for rewiring a house in Portola CA to our Realtor.  We had at that time not completed the purchase of the house.  When I add that we used the Piper proposal in our negotiations for the price of the house one can understand its importance.  On December 7th 2010 I called Piper to say we now own the house when can he start. -  Nothing.  On January 4th 2011 we called again. Not home left a message.  Nothing.  Over the next few weeks I called him weekly but there was always an excuse.  Snow.  Snow.  How does snow affect the internal rewiring of a house?  He told me he had other bigger jobs to finish.  He finally said he would get on with it when the weather was warmer.  On May 9th at 11:00am we found he had put the fuse panel on the back and cable for connection to the grid.  Nothing inside.  I met him and he was with another electrician and they were looking at the job.  He told me it was now a two man job and as he had a bad left knee unless he could convince the second guy to join him he would have to withdraw.  This is what he did.  Six months after the December 7th conversation he withdrew.  We had to find another electrician.  What was interesting, not one other electrician came in with a bid that was even close to the November Piper bid.  His was it appears woefully low, - $4375 to all others around $7000.  (We chose one of these and there is a recommendation from us on Angies list.)  Bad knee or just  a realisation that the low bid was rediculous?  Did he low bid to get the work then withdraw because a better job came along?  Make up your own minds.I would not recommend this company to anyone else.  Instead of having the house ready for use before Xmas 2011 we will not be ready for another couple of months.  Piper consumed six months when we could have been reconstructing and decorating.
