    J Display Case
John of crafted a beautiful plexiglass custom turntable cover for my Clearaudio Turntable which came without a cover. He listened carefully while we planned based on precise dimensions and produced on schedule what we had designed together. He gets highest praise for craftsmanship and making something both functional and beautiful on time at a reasonable cost.

They did a very good job overall! During the beginning, the roofing options were explained without pushing us to the most expensive. He was very honest about which products work, and which don’t. I was very happy with how quickly they worked. Their timeliness was incredible. They worked from very early to late in the evening to complete the work on time. Our personalities really meshed as well; they had a great demeanor. All of his employees have been with him for 10+ years, which really stood out with me.

    Antiques & Furniture Restoration Inc
After seeing Mr. Haridi's wonderful reviews on Angie's List, I called him and described the necessary repairs. He suggested I send him photos, so I did. He responded very promptly with a reasonable approximate estimate, so I took the desk to his shop. I knew immediately I'd come to the right place because the shop was full of beautiful antiques in various stages of restoration. After looking at my desk, Mr. Haridi said it was in worse shape than shown in the photos I'd sent him, but nevertheless he wouldn't charge more than the upper end of his initial estimate. He also said he was hesitant to promise me that he could finish the job on the tight schedule I wanted, but that he would try. I was impressed that he was so direct and honest about all this. In the end, he did a beautiful job of repairing the desk, and it was done right on time. I'm very happy with the whole experience, and I recommend Mr. Haridi with no reservations whatsoever.

Great food drive through is very convenient for a quick lunch. The place is very close to one of my job sites and every time I crave their food  it's right there. Place is clean feels like home cooking.

I have been a regular patron of Lynn's Antiques for many years. This is a family business that has been in Alameda for 50 years. I have found the owner Debra to be very friendly, kind and knowledgeable of antiques. She even kindly helped me sort through some jewelry when I was overwhelmed with the task of going through my parents' estate. I have purchased many items from them in the past, from both their estate sales and their store. I have also consigned many things over the years and have been pleased with the sales. I have never had any negative experiences with the staff. It is not easy to be in the antique business and it is impossible to please everyone. One person's junk is another person's treasure!

I had contacted them to fix a piece that had been damaged by a falling mirror.  After they filled the holes and resurfaced the area, they made sure all little nicks were repaired.  They then fixed a coffee table that was scratched, but the best was an antique china cabinet that had water damage.  They repaired that with such attention to detail that I cannot tell where they worked.

Richard D. Ford / Ultra Fine Finish
Richard hand finished the inside and outside of every cabinet door. He added a special color custom strip to each surface. I was amazed that none of the 25 year damage on the surface of each cabinet was visible! The beautiful walnut finish as well as the custom hand painted trim ensures that my kitchen is one of a kind and that my resale value has increased. Richard was punctual, affordable, an expert in his craft, and... he offered his advice on some color choices for my new tile and counter tops. I can't believe I was lucky enough to find him and have him customize my home.

Senior Sorters & Estate Liquidators, LLC
When we first started the process of preparing to downsize and move to a senior living facility, we were overwhelmed with the effort that was going to be required. Fortunately we found Senior Sorters and realized we had a means to make the job manageable and perhaps even make a little money. They told us to just take what we wanted when we moved and leave everything else in place and they would take it from there. They took two days to sort and arrange our stuff for sale and we were really impressed with the way it was organized and displayed. It almost made us want to come back and buy some of our own things. We had no idea what the value was of most of these items. Senior Sorters has the experience and expertise to set fair prices that are attractive to their clients. I believe they have a loyal following of people that know it is worthwhile to come to their sales. Our share of the proceeds from the sale was at least twice what we thought it would be. Hazel and Katherine and their team were terrific to work with. They are energetic, knowledgeable,  and very positive people. It was a real pleasure doing business with them.

    Bill & Mike's Antiques
It is an antique shop and they also do great furniture refinishing work. Mike does beautiful framing. He is really kind of magical with wood. He is a downtown Martinez guy. He does an amazing job working on antiques. You can take an old antique that is in the garage or out in the weather and he can rebuild, refinish and replace it. It looks incredible when it?s done. He is very reasonable, price wise. I have recommended him to people. The other shopkeepers in Martinez too talk about him being magical with wood. He is really skilled. He also builds custom frames for people and he does it in a mission style, which is like arts and crafts. They are beautiful as well. You will see things like this in the magazine where people spend way more money than he would charge and they are not cheap. He is great for refinishing, repairing and custom framing. I didn?t buy anything the last time I was in there, but I have bought lots of stuff from him over the years. He is really good. His punctuality and professionalism are both good. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
