Very well. Couldn't be happier with quality of rebuild and service. It's been a few years and transmission still kicks ***. I like the positive shifting with kevlar clutch pack. My sons' a/t went out and I'm sending him down to see Alex

Great fast service. Went out of there way to repair and console me . I have had a lot of different repairs done there. All to my satisfaction. The best thing about bobbies is there honestly. I would highly recommend them as a repair shop to anyone.

Read this, before you take your car to Keith's Transmission Service! Keith's Transmission Service LOST my transmission and lied to me about it! After loosing my transmission, Keith's installed a broken, mismatched VIN, parts-bin-special transmission into my car and told me it was my original! I took my 4Runner to Keith's Transmission Service to rebuild the transmission, which was popping out of first gear. I chose this shop based on the Yelp ratings and because they told me that they offer a 3-year warranty (I called to confirm the warranty, before bringing the car in.) They quoted me a price of $1,850 with a maximum of $2,300 if additional parts are needed to "remove, rebuild and reinstall customer transmission." I was led to believe that the entire job was going to be carried out in house. At no point during our entire conversation was there any hint that they were going to farm out the job. They told me the job would take 4-5 days. 13 days later, I get a call that the car is ready to be picked up. When I get there to pick up my car, I was ushered into the office and presented with a bill of $2,299, and only a 1-year warranty. When I pointed out that Katie had told me I would receive their advertised 3-year warranty, Doug intervened saying, "that's for an automatic transmission, the best I can do is a two year warranty." Not wanting to start an argument, I accepted his offer, paid the bill in full, and stepped out to get my car. --This was the beginning of my nightmare! My car was a filthy mess. The tan interior was covered in black grease, pieces of the center consul were broken and left on the floor, the skid plates were covered in oil, the brand new slave cylinder bleeder valve was left uncovered, even the transmission cross-member was installed incorrectly!! Since it was late in the day and I was eager to experience my newly rebuilt transmission, I accepted the car as it was and proceeded to drive home. The next morning, my "newly rebuilt transmission" failed and exhibited the same symptoms as before I brought it to their shop. It was popping out of gear again!!! I contacted Doug right away to tell him what occurred. It was only then, that I found out that Keith's Transmission didn't do the repair themselves - instead they farmed it out to another shop. As if this was not egregious enough, the broken transmission they installed in my car was not even my transmission. Their subcontractor put together a transmission from an assortment of old and used transmissions he had in his shop. Keith's installed this non matching VIN, parts-bin-special transmission into my car; while telling me they were rebuilding my original! When I told Doug I wanted my original transmission returned, he fabricated a false narrative claiming that my original transmission was worn and could not be used. His subcontractor later confirmed to me that my original transmission was actually in great shape and that it was rebuilt, sent to different shop and installed in another customer's vehicle! I have asked Keith's Transmission Service to return my transmission and to refund my money. So far they have refused, insisting that I should bring my car back to them. With the experience I've had, I have lost all trust in this establishment and cant see how I could ever go back there. I now need to find a trustworthy shop to fix the mess Keith's made.

    B & J Transmissions
After checking the codes they test drove the vehicle and when they found a couple of common codes related to a cold vehicle they warmed up the truck and took it for a second test drive that cleared the codes. When they could not duplicate the issue they asked me to test drive with them. They were very clear the limitations of what they could and could not determine from the test drives. Being unable to duplicate the issue they gave me an honest assessment and under what conditions to return to get another evaluation. Even though the truck is quite old they were knowledgeable about the vehicle and typical issues with the transmission. Very courteous and responsive to my questions. There was no charge even though they spent a significant amount of time on the vehicle,

Great. Fast, friendly, takes the time to honestly describe all options and their cost-great if you are trying to save money. Prices very reasonable - maybe good/great deal (I haven't searched for comparisons, but compared to what I paid before). After rebuilding my transmission 2 other times on other cars, this shop is the best. Highly Recommended!!

    25th Street Automotive
I had given up on my normal mechanic. I had gone a month without my car because my normal mechanic couldn’t do what was supposed to be a normal repair. They were just supposed to fix a couple of seal leaks and change out the engine mounts since the leaks were under engine. When I got the car back the first time I had to instantly return it because it had this loud banging noise that I could feel and hear in the floor boards. They looked at it another 3 times over the course of a month and each time I had to instantly return it so I never had my car more than a day and they ended up trying to tell me it was bad bushings and that my car was old. It is older but I have modified it and kept it running in top shape for its entire life and I had never heard this noise before their repair so I knew they did something wrong. I was unbelievably frustrated from not having my car for over a month and it actually seemed worse than when I gave it to them. So I joined Angie’s list and looked up the top rated mechanic in the Phoenix area. I found 25th Street Automotive and decided to see if this Angie's list thing is everything it's cracked up to be. I couldn't be happier! 25th Street auto found that my transmission was basically hanging off of the car and not secured because the bolts were totally stripped. They temporarily mounted the transmission best they could and proved that it was the source of the noise. They then recommended I go back to my original mechanic and get the work done for free since it’s obviously their fault and everything is under warranty. They even called me later to verify all was good and said they would talk directly to my original mechanic if they gave me any trouble. I've never had such great service from an automotive shop. So I'm bringing my car back to the original mechanic and will have them do the work but I'm pretty sure whatever I need done next on my car will be done with 25th Street Auto. They really seem to be all they are hyped up to be on Angie’s list!

Keith's Transmission is your Go-To location for expert transmission service: they have been in the transmission business for decades; and offer great work at reasonable prices. Very pleased to have my truck back, now more responsive than when I bought it 8 years ago! Work was done quickly; and all issues discussed before repair were noted, resolved, and repaired. The work is very reasonably warranted to insure many more trouble-free miles of operation. Pre-emptive maintenance (additional seal replacements) was also done as well. I was allowed to observe suspect maintenance issues while the transmission was removed (easier access) to avoid later problems. Staff was very helpful; and understood my desire to keep this high-mileage vehicle running long-term (they cater also to other older/vintage car customers as well). In short: the work was well done, quickly...and at a reasonable price for all the service that was provided. While the rebuild cost might be higher than the 'Book value' of my old GMC, I now have my reliable, hard-working truck back...for the cost equivalent of only two new truck payments-that's a WIN for me!!

I have been going to to Palo Alto Bimmer for many years and I get the best service at a fair price. Mike also does extra work not usually identified by the customer at no charge.
