  They came on time. Never introduced himself for beginners. I told him what my issue was. I took him outside to see the a/c unit. He immediately began looking at it and evaluating the issue. I advised him I had at least 5 other people come by and couldn't figure out the problem. After about 15mins he started calling his boss and was talking back and forth for another 10mins or so. He finally came to me and said he can't figure it out. All the readings on his gauges were all over the place and his boss told him to just pack up and leave. Didn't charge me anything nor did he tell me what the problem is. He said his boss just told him to pack up and leave. I was very surprised as I thought Beutler Air was a "reputible" company. I escorted him out of my house and on his way! Was really a waste of time since they told me they can fix anything regarding air conditioners.

  Terrific. We've had a service agreement with John Burger for years, so when it came time to replace my AC, we knew this was a reliable business that wouldn't try to sell us a unit too large for our needs. When I had concerns about whether the unit would fit the existing pad, John came out himself to check. The installation itself went well. The young men knew what they were doing, were friendly and ready to answer questions. We love our new AC! So efficient and quiet. And I'm confident that, continuing with our service agreement, John Burger will be there to ensure regular maintenance and upkeep. Great office staff, too. Highly recommend.

  Lance showed up on time and went straight to work. He cleaned things, checked for proper freon amounts, etc. I have an ongoing service agreement with Burger and this was the annual spring/summer tune-up. Glad to have someone I can trust.

  Kool Air

  I received service from ���Kool Air��� today. Several friends who were very pleased recommended them for their service and very reasonable price. I was not disappointed. I called Kool Air at 8am and spoke with and quot;Kuland quot;. He was very courteous and we
  arranged for him to call me back once he completed his first job of the day so that I could leave work and meet him at my home. He followed through and met me at my home. He diagnosed the issue very quickly and called to price the part from a dealer about half hour drive away. He then left his tools in place and drove to get the part. Within half an hour of his return my unit was running and I had heat and air. I watched him work and was very impressed. The price he charged was extremely reasonable. He was professional and a genuine nice guy. I am glad my friends recommend Kool Air and will definitely use them again.
  Oh, and one other thing. Before I called Kool Air I went on-line and checked for reviews. I was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews, especially after my friends were so positive about their experience. I have since concluded that the same individual(s), apparently grinding an axe because they did not get their way, posted the negative reviews. I checked with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and only found one individual who had complained, and the wording of the complaint was similar to the other posts I had read. The BBB had this to say about the case:

  Our 20-year-old air conditioner started blowing warm air instead of cold. This company was the only one I called that was able to give me next day service. (We're having a heat wave and I was willing to wait a day rather than pay another company $100+/hour for "emergency" service; thankfully, our ceiling and floor fans got us through the night). The technician, Shaun, arrived within the first hour of the time frame I was given. He was friendly and very patient about explaining what he was doing and why, as well as giving me pointers on how to keep my unit in good shape. The entire process took about 30 minutes and I am now enjoying blissfully cool air. I was so pleased with Shaun's work that I purchased the company's maintenance program. Great guy, great service!
  
  8/15/12 UPDATE: The $300 total includes the diagnostic charge, parts, coolant, and the yearly fee for the Preferred Service Agreement ($130), which includes a spring A/C tuneup, a fall furnace tuneup, priority emergency service, and discounts on parts and refrigerants.

  I spoke with and interview several companies for adding an HVAC system to a newly acquired older home to be used as a rental property. I had contacted several companies in the local area and several well know companies. I was disappointed over and over with their pushy sales tactics and flat out rude and unprofessional behavior (mainly the more well known companies).
  My first contact with RB Spencer was professional. From the minute the receptionist answered the phone, I was impressed. I expressed to her that I was looking at getting an estimate for a system for a home that was never equipped with an HVAC system. She took all of my information, explained that she didn't have a sales person available at that moment but would have a sales person return my call as soon as possible.
  Rick Worthley returned my call within an hour to set up a convient time to meet. He arrived at the home on time. He was very professional, listened to our wants and needs for a system. He had an written estimate for us that very evening. He addressed all of our concerns and questions via email and phone as we had them and even followed up after he had not heard from me in a week. After informing Mr. Worthley that we had found several more important issues to address before moving forward with the system he was still polite and professional. We plan to move forward with an HVAC system in a couple of months and when we do it will be with RB Spencer.

  I was contacted by this company after calling Home Depot's number for an estimate on the system.  The person didn't clearly state who she was or who she was calling for, when I tried to clarify she became offend.  She was not helpful, didn't understand that I was calling to have a new unit installed and had to place me on hold to check if their company could install a unit at a home that didn't have a unit already.  Not to mention her immediately wanting to get all my information but sounded offended when I asked where her company was located and what brands they carried.
  
  I was told I would receive a phone call the next morning to schedule someone out.  I, instead, received a call shortly before lunch the next day from a gentleman who informed me he took the liberty of pricing a unit for me based on the information he had which was the address and it would cost me $12,000.00-$15,000.00.
  
  Very unprofessional from first contact.  The gentleman who took the liberty to price my home needs did not ask me what I wanted, did not schedule a visit nor arrived at the home or even ask for any details about my home.  I would not deal with this company even if I had not found someone who had already been professional by phone, arrived at my home, did the walk through and discussed with me my needs for heating and cooling my home with a much better price.
