  The Angies offer of a home system for $199 couldn't be beat.  The uncertainty of using a technology provider ONLY was whether my wife and I felt comfortable with installing a system without an expert.  However, after receiving the products, my installation took about 2 hours and was super simple....in this day and age, the wireless systems are as simple as using the self-adhesive devices at the appropriate locations.
  During installation, there were a few confusing points, but I called tech support and they were very responsive and correct in the advice they gave.  Also, having the system accessible via the web allows me to monitor and further fine tune features.
  At the end of the day, this is a very reasonable alternative to more expensive, professionally installed systems, but you have to be willing to spend an afternoon installing and testing....its fun if you have the right attitude.

  After researching alarm systems & companies,  and reading many positive reviews, I called  California Security Pro who set up an appointment for a home evaluation.  

  Dorelle was very knowledgeable, friendly,  thorough, assessed our home and made helpful suggestions - without pressure, and open to my thoughts, concerns,  and questions.

  She provided helpful suggestions for added home security measures on our own.  Together we designed/ordered the alarm system features & monitoring service  best for us.

  Installation was scheduled conveniently for 3 days later.  (here our one minor glitch - I hadn't been notified of a change in installer and had a moment of confusion when one with another name arrived.  I called the company and clarified the change.)

  Carl was professional, courteous, pleasant,  worked hard and competently.  He patiently explained the features,  options, and how to arm/disarm the system.

  Both provided me their cell phone numbers with encouragement to call with any questions. 

  I started using the alarm right away and already feel comfortable and reassured using it daily.

  A wonderful experience on many levels - and I'm happy to recommend California Security Pro.

  SimpliSafe Home Security

  The security system came as advertised. Initially there was no need to contact them, as it was all self-installed and I had no issues with installation or getting it to work. Signing up for the monitoring service was also done online.
  Recently there was an issue with our base unit communicating with the monitoring center. The base unit came with Tmobile chip and apparently there was a signal coverage issue (even though our cell phone service is though TMobile and we've had no issues).
  SimpliSafe customer service was very responsive and sent me a replacement module with a Verizon connection. I had to uninstall the Tmobile module , install the Verizon module, and return the Tmobile module in the prepaid envelope that they provided. I had no trouble with the exchange, but this might have been a problem for someone not comfortable with opening up the base station, and changing electronic components.
  As long as you are aware that there is a DIY element to using SimpliSafe, I would highly recommend it.

  SimpliSafe Home Security

  I love this system and HIGHLY recommend it! We have used ADT and Bay Alarm in the past but got frustrated with contracts, high monthly costs and equipment problems. We tried Simplisafe because the install was non-invasive and there were no contract commitments.  I was very skeptical but couldn't be happier with this system. It is extremely easy to install, easy to use and inexpensive. My three children are all able to use the system without a problem which makes us all feel more safe. .

  After I signed up, we received email confirmations of our order, and the equipment was promptly shipped to us.  We didn't activate the service until after we moved into our new home in January, but received several reminder emails to let us know not to forget.
  Activation was super easy.  We easily installed all of the sensors ourselves, and then called Frontpoint to activate.  This process only took about 10-15 minutes.  We created an account on their website, and also downloaded Alarm.com on our iPhones to be able to monitor and control the system.  
  Since then, the system has worked perfectly, and there have been several times when we were too slow to turn off the alarm, and we always got an immediate phone call from Frontpoint to make sure everything was ok.  We love how easy it was to set up, that it's completely wireless, that we can view status updates immediately on our phones, and arm and disarm the system from our phones as well.  
  After a few weeks of using the service, we ordered several more door and window sensors, which we got added to our system at no extra cost to the monthly service.  Our monthly service is 42.99 a month, and for us it's definitely worth the money for the peace of mind.

  ADT WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND EAGER TO HELP. AFTER INSTALLATION THEY MADE SURE I KNEW HOW TO WORK THE ALARM. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. THE NEXT DAY A CUSTOMER REP CALLED TO BE SURE THINGS WERE STILL GOING GOOD. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY DECISION TO GO WITH ADT.
