  • They made it as easy as possible.  They were very helpful, kind and understanding.  It was a woman who was the funeral director there and it was very easy dealing with her.  I would definitely recommend this funeral home to anybody.  One of the real positives was their price.  I didn’t have a lot of services but when I did comparison-shopping, their price was extremely reasonable.  They couldn't have been more helpful and they took care of a lot of things for me that was hard to take care of at a difficult time.  For a bad experience in my life, it was a real good experience with this funeral home.

  • fixed evaporative cooler by putting in a valve, but broke the whirly bird adjacent to it. He broke two bricks on the fence attempting to climb to the roof without a ladder and just stuck them back without cementing them in. He gathered all the belongings of the tenant that moved out and was supposed to haul it away for a fee of $175. Instead he, stole my shovels and weed eater, charged me $250, got extremely aggressively angry. He recommended a cleaning service who cleaned the house with no set price, up front. They did not take direction well. Refused to do certain tasks. When I called his business number, his wife answered. When I complained, that's when he came to my house and busted a fluorescent light bulb and actually tried to fix the garage door which was stuck in the down position. When he left, it was up part-way so that anyone could walk into the house and steal appliances and what not. "You made my wife cry." He stole my shovel and hoe. I have no receipts from him or the cleaning people he sent. He refused my check and would only accept cash. I really need the receipt and he is now very hostile.

  • They have flower ranging and gift type things. They have very knowledgeable people about indoor and outdoor plants. They take the time with people. Their plants have always been very healthy. I have been going to them for many years. Their price is reasonable. They have really good dirt with good quality. If I have a problem with a plant, I can just take it in. They have people who can help me with it. I had a coffee plant and its leaves were turning yellow. I took it there and they said that that the soil was very solid. They said that I need to put some holes into the dirt. I did that and the plant is gorgeous.

  • Orchard Nursery is a pleasure to visit, it has a fishpond, a florist, a special gift house, garden statues, animals, fantastic Christmas trees, ornaments and a very wide variety of bulbs/plants/trees etc. Also, outdoor furniture & soil amendments to take or have delivered. Plants are professionally cared for by knowledgeable employees. Employees will recommend appropriate plants & give advice and order special items.

  • Specific flower/colors ordered...(S.F. has an excellent wholesale Flower Market but I no longer take the time to go there and the Market actually operates in the wee hours of the morning). The Flower Cart is the Starbucks of florists. They condition their flowers well and are known for beautiful arrangements. The store is beautiful with a wide selection...purchases are carefully wrapped in cellophane, tied with matching ribbon, water tubes used/other touches giving quality service by well-trained employees...a different experience than Albertson's, Safeway, or Raley's.

  • My hair trim was excellent---exactly what I asked for and skillfully done. My manicurist did an okay job but she apparently thought clear polish meant no polish. The other employees explained what clear meant. The pedicure chair is next to a window right on Solano Avenue's sidewalk so it was noisy. I prefer the atmosphere at the Pinole location. I've gone for other services -- overall, employee work ranges from okay to excellent...Lana's work is always excellent!

  • My manicurist did not speak English so it was hard to explain my preferences. She didn't attempt to introduce herself. Her work was okay but not perfect. The pedicure water was far too hot. After my nails were dry, I had to ask Julie the price and then just put the money on the counter---my manicurist was doing a pedicure & neither she nor Julie (doing a manicure) checked to see if everything was okay or to say goodbye.

  • Robert Steiner did not complete the taxes and would not refund the deposit money. Waited until tax day to explain that my taxes were not going to be completed. Then, yelled at me over the phone when I asked why the taxes were not completed. To top it all off I had to have a police escort to retrieve my documents.
